Not a bad atmosphere as you walk through the door, although it took a few minutes for them to realise I was there, luckily the TV was on current affairs. Some tables still had dirty plates on them. Ordered a large sandwich and was asked if I wanted extras on, (egg was mentioned but I didn't get any). The sandwich was well worth the money (£4.60) as it was really full. Negatives were: bread was soggy but this was due to everything inside, eg coleslaw, salad cream etc. This also meant the sandwich fell to bits so I had to eat it with fork. They used clingfilm instead of foil/paper to wrap, this added to the mess when it was unwrapped. Big one for me was the lady DID NOT use gloves, I mentioned this and she said that she had just washed her hands, the clothes she was wearing were really dirty which did not fill me with joy. Overall the sandwich filled me up, the staff was kind and helpful but I won't return as I prefer cleanliness above all else.

First time I ordered a breakfast to be delivered yesterday and was wondering how hot the food would be. No need to worry, as it was delivered in a takeaway box, then wrapped in foil. The food was lovely and hot and very tasty! Great service too. We will definitely be ordering from them again - highly recommend!

It’s not often you find Gems, and when you do, you usually go back to the same spot for years. Food quality and personality were 10/10. Prices and seating as equal.

Annie's has quickly become a regular weekend treat for the family. Excellent breakfasts and great baps. Very reasonably priced as well. Restricted on road parking but well worth the hassle; even better if you can walk.

After visiting the white swan a few weeks ago and having a beautiful Sunday lunch (which we left a review for, Featherblade of Beef, 5*). We went back hoping for another delicious dinner, inky to find an uninterested abrupt person telling us it was carvery only today. We paid at the bar, got our drinks and we’re sent round the back to get our food. , I was really shocked to see the state and quality of the food, The meat that was meant to be pork was unrecognisable, there wasn’t any left, the beef was tough and dry. Potato mash was slop, catering Yorkshire puddings, dried sticky stuffing, cold slimy veg, sprouts were frozen sprouts but okay and the carrots were cold. Multi coloured peas and all just of a very poor standard. . It’s a Catering cavery, really poor standard. It might have been fresher earlier but it was really bad, I took mine back and said I couldn’t eat it .. the girl took my plate back snd just said oh sorry about that. But we’d paid and there was no alternative or explanation or refund of any sort. Be warned if you’re expecting food based on previous reviews. You won’t get it!., We left and drive to eyes arms at Rampton. The food was hot freshly cooked and delicious . Dinner out is meant to be a treat.. be warned if your hungry and planning on wasting hard earned cash at this place .. .. not that money

Enquired about my dog and advised dog friendly but no longer does food so makes any reviews a little academic
