Annie's Burger Shack in Worcester

All burgers available as Vegan, Veggie and meaty? I didn’t believe it could be done but my vegan Rueben was stunning. It took me ages to decide and we had the poor barman running backwards and forwards to the kitchen to keep checking if things were really vegan and yep! most things were. Great place, even on a quiet afternoon they did themselves proud.

Not sure why this is doing so badly on TripAdvisor when the food is so great. I cant think of any other burger place with the same degree of choice on the menu. Both of our burgers were creative and delicious. Couldn't fault anything at all.

Came to Worcester for the day and ended up here as both myself and my mother were hungry. It was pretty busy and qued at the bar to be served and ordered drinks. We were told there was a 20/30 minute wait on food. Although our burgers didn't arrive together and my mother had asked for onion rings and didn't get them OMG with asking again once being served the burger. Both of our chips didn't stay hot for long which was a disappointment.

Me and my partner visited on a Wednesday evening, both burgers tasted wonderful with huge portions. Also enjoyed our cocktails. Waiter extremely friendly and helpful. Will be back to try the extensive menu 👍🏻

Central Worcester venue with plenty of menu choice which is reasonably priced. Service was good. the venue was quiet when we visited around midday of a Monday. Food was plentiful and arrived promptly. Recommend a visit but imagine it’s busy of an evenings check if u need to book.

I visited Annie's and had a sunday roast burger. It was absoutely huge, so well worth the money, well presented and absoutely beautiful. So the food- well worth going for. I feel for the people who work there because they work in two completely different establishments in the day and in the night and it clearly doesnt work because they just look fed up and confused. It either needs to be Marston's ran (which I would personally prefer because not long ago in March it was a brilliant place to go for a night out) or Annie's. It's a beautiful old building and it just isn't being used to it's full.potential. Wish someone would go in and completely sort it out. Also- no baby changing facilities and disabled toilet used as a storage room. Not great.

We visited Annie’s on a Saturday night, having been looking forward to our first outing to the restaurant for some time. Unfortunately, the whole experience was extremely disappointing. We queued with the rest of the hoards of Saturday night drinkers to order our food and the bar was completely understaffed for a busy night. They had run out of table numbers which was a little worrying but we were assured they’d find us. After a while, waiting staff started wandering around with plates of food asking tables if they’d ordered. And if so, what. Clearly this is open to abuse from people who’d not actually ordered and fancied a freebie! We were asked twice if we’d ordered and then what we’d ordered. The whole place seemed utterly disorganised. We did eventually get our food but I was told they didn’t have any gluten free buns, so was presented with a “naked” burger. It then took around 10 minutes or more for them to locate cutlery for me to eat it with, by which time it wasn’t hot any more. The manager explained that they were short staffed and did apologise but I would not hurry to return. Mediocre food and terrible service, sorry Annie’s but please try to do better!

It took me at least 20 minutes to get my food order in at the bar and then another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Once it did, I took a bite and it didn’t take me long to realise that my food was cold and the vegan chicken burger i ordered was definitely not vegan. Keep up the good work Annie’s.

Visited today with 2 friends - all of us Vegan. We were spoilt for choice, with every burger on the menu able to be Veganised! I had the "Sloppy Joe", which was amazing, the portion was massive (I had to bring half home!)..Fast, friendly service, our server "Connor" was so friendly, knowledgable and helpful.. we'll be paying another visit for deffo!

Spoilt for choice which is unusual if you re vegan! And it was delicious when it came . The waiter Connor was exceptionally friendly & helpful too

Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime. Plenty of tables. Great choice of burgers, we were an all vegan group and loved the menu choice. Customer service was first class from Conner. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the different ingredients on the menu. We will be back!

We went in for a drink on your day out in the town center. The advertisement outside the door stated '2 for 1 cocktsils' and inside they were advertised, 2 for £8, however the actual cost was 2 for £10. The cocktails were from a pre maid carton and were absolutely vile. Totally not worth the £10 price tag.

We popped in for some much needed food. Been wanting to come here for ages... Place was empty, some tables not been cleaned down. Massive 38 options on the menu, all can be served vegan, veggie or meaty. Ordered Sunday lunch burger and the one with a Guinness doughnut 🍩 and side of onion rings. Portions are HUGE. The plate of onion rings has about 30 on it for £4. The frickles aren't frickles how I like them done, they're just pickle slices breaded and fried, as opposed to the full gherkin, but they're ok. You can only order these sides with a burger which is odd in my view. For me, my burger was dry and tasted old and reheated. The chicken was also dry. The bun was cheap bread, and fries were ok. For £12 it's value depends. If you want filling up, it's great. Massive portions. If you want a good burger go somewhere else. It felt like style over substance 😔 Staff were friendly. One slight mixup at ordering which was swiftly put right. Tough one to score, but I won't be rushing back. Too many good burger joints to go to!

On a weekend in Worcester we chose Annie’s for a lunch and to watch England Wales Rugby. Staff were very helpful making sure we could watch the game. We shared a bacon and blue cheese burger and some boneless chicken wings in bbq sauce both were fantastic and enough between us for lunch. Would definitely recommend.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant area was empty. There were dirty napkins under the tables and the salt shakers were empty. There has been some attempt to decorate the restaurant area with an American theme but it still feels lacking and cheap. The menu is massive with loads of choice. Overall we were happy with our burgers however we ordered nacho cheese sauce to dip our fries in and this came out cold in the middle so had to send it back. Conceded that they don’t do temperature checks. Service was fine.

Called in on a night off. Burger ok, fries awful. Think they’d been reheated. Bizarre having a punk band rehearse during service. Not enjoyable. Service was really good from very friendly bloke.

Burgers were tasty enough and large portions. Toppings tasted a little cheap and the bread is really cheap. A little overpriced for the quality but good enough if your hungry and don't want to go to macdonalds. No atmosphere at all though. We were the only people there. Service was good and friendly however. Probably won't come back.

Courtyard during the day is Annie's, and the food is amazing, large quality portions. The barstaff are friendly but the whole concept of the venue being owned by two different companies doesn't work. The cocktails we ordered were quickly made, great taste and I feel for the bar staff because they are hired to work in a bar and instead work in half a bar and half a restaurant.

Unbelievable. Had no idea what I was in for but I will definitely be back!

I recently had a private function at Annie’s Burger Shack and it was fantastic. Michael was especially was brilliant with booking and the staff looking after us couldn’t have done any more. Food was unbelievable with crazy portions and all in all was a great experience. Highly recommend. Dan

One of our party lived in Nottingham for over 10 years, so had been to the original Annie’s restaurant several times and always raved about it - so we were all very eager to visit the worcs franchise!

I booked a table for a 11 over a month ago to turn up and be told I hadn’t got a table. Luckily only 9 of us had made it as that was the largest table they could find. I understand mistakes are made and this was eventually resolved however I didn’t receive anything close to an apology. After waiting 10 minutes to order food I was then told I’d have to join the back of another queue to order a drink separately and after explaining the previous mix up to the bar staff her reply was “well don’t come here next time”. 2 managers then proceeded to come and speak to us, and the first thing they said was well you’re not getting any freebies. At this point the whole group had ordered and paid for food all I was waiting for was an apology. The manager Shaun then argued with me that the sign clearly stated you couldn’t order drinks there which was untrue as the sign simply said “order food here”, as I have never visited somewhere where all the systems are separate I suggest this should be made clearer. All in all I only received an apology after a 15 minute discussion. The staff clearly couldn’t care less about paying customers and suggested it was our own fault for going on a busy day. It’s a massive shame because the food was lovely, but after the appalling service by all 3 members of staff I can safely say I won’t be returning and I can only hope the staff learn from this experience and provide a better service in the future.

Booked a table 4 weeks in advance as it was ladies day and anticipated it might be busy.

I have reviewed previously as 5 star but after my meal yesterday it has dropped.

If you want to share your dining experience with foul mouthed , vape smoking , food throwing people then this is the place for you.my partner and i popped in on a saturday lunchtime for a burger and a drink , with other families including young children in there. My girlfriends food arrived cold so had to be returned but more disturbing was the clientele present in the restaurant who were loudly swearing , smoking , throwing food at each other , an experience which has put us off ever returning.

Highly disappointed..the food was not great and the wine even worse! Unable to recommend unfortunately

Enormous portions and the curly fries were great. Unfortunately the burger seemed really tough with cheap tasting mayo and unbranded condiments except for the ketchup. Good if you want to try something different but won't be a regular haunt.

Tried these burgers on a night out. Amazing!! Great value for money and something a little different from the other upmarket burger chains. Will definitely try again.

we went a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure what to expect.

A group of us went to Annie’s Burger Shack and we all thought it was ok, but we wouldn’t rush back. The burgers were very good, but our experience was let down by the bar. Indifferent, uninterested staff, no lemonade and no wine glasses!? How does that even happen? A bar with no wine glasses... all the wine drinkers in our group ended up drinking wine from champagne flutes. It was a shame because otherwise it would have been a nice evening and we would have stayed longer.

I was really looking forward to trying the burgers here. Every burger can be made veggie or vegan. I decided to go for the Reuben (vegan of course). Unfortunately I was served the meat version. When the staff member put the burger in front of me he reiterated my order by saying “vegan Reuben”. And yes, I had eaten some of the food before realising it tasted way too real. It turned out to be the staff members fault as he did click the option properly when I placed my order. So the kitchen believed it was a meat order. The staff should all know that a vegan meal is marked with a green flag (see picture) so the staff member that brought me the burger should have known something was wrong.
