Mark and the staff are brilliant always friendly. From homemade soups to homemade desserts and cakes. All food freshly done. One of my favourite places to eat. Its a smallish place and always busy. Closed on Mondays but open 9 -4 Tuesday to Saturday.

So friendly and welcoming to a group of soggy campers who took over 3 tables, kids and adults. Breakfast options were great, lovely and hot and very tolerant of a family group descending! All food came put at the same time and service was great. Thanku!

There's always a good welcome at Annette's. My partner and I really enjoy their all day breakfast. There's usually a bit of a wait as everything is cooked to order. It's well worth it though. Your food arrives piping hot. A great start to the day.

Today we called in here for cup of tea/ coffee. While we were there we had a breakfast and a toasted sandwich. Both were outstanding. The breakfast was presented very hot and beautifully cooked the toasted sandwich was also very warm and both freshly prepared. (No warmed up food here). I would highly recommend this cafe. Very clean and everything well presented. Will certainly be going here every time we are in Abergavenny.

Absolutely love it here! Big portion for a great price. Feels very homely and welcoming. Coffee is lovely and the chips are perfect

My friend and I met up today and after a wonder around Abergavenny Town we went to Annettes for lunch we went early as it’s very popular and gets so busy, we managed to get a table and decided on the turkey dinner with all the trimmings, well what can I say it was the best dinner I have tasted in a while everything cooked to perfection our plates were clean when we had finished, the staff are always friendly and jolly and the service and food is excellent, thoroughly enjoyed our meal, many thanks to all the staff can’t wait to have a return visit, definitely recommend.

This is how it should be done! Very pleasant and unique decor, great service, excellent choice of snacks and cakes, no loud music, first class toilet although the extractor fan is a bit prone to switching off too soon unless you move about.

Visiting Abergavenny today with mum and looking for somewhere for lunch. Stumbled across this lovely cafe. Lucky to get a table as quite busy. Very varied menu and reasonably priced. We chose omelette with salad but could have had chips with it as well. They were by far the nicest omelettes we have had for ages. The staff were friendly, pleasant and welcoming and service quite quick considering how busy they were. Will definitely make this our 1st choice for lunch when next in the area!

Met up with a friend and went to Annette’s for lunch, it was a lovely sunny day we were very lucky and managed to get a table outside as it was very busy, staff came and cleaned all the table before we sat down, we looked through the menu lots of variety but we decided to order sandwiches and glass coke each, the food arrived quickly we thoroughly enjoyed it, staff were very friendly and service was excellent, we will definitely be calling again 😊😊

Called in today for a light lunch. Place very busy - market day in Abergavenny. Nice service and food, so a very easy recommend from us.

Absolutely fantastic visit here today. I popped in for a late lunch this afternoon with my son, sister, niece and her toddler daughter having never been before. The greeting was really friendly, the staff were amazing and a lovely lady went out of her way to speak with my great-niece and even called Santa for her so she would be a good girl and eat nicely....a great incentive! The food took no time at all to come out and was all piping hot. I had a breakfast and there's was no issues with me swapping out items. Throughout the whole experience the staff were happy and chatty to all the customers and it was lovely to see. We will most definitely be back again.

Called in for a refreshing cuppa today. Impressed enough to say, we will go back and eat next time. Nice service and welcoming. Appears lots of locals eat there which is an indication of its popularity.

This place is a real little gem. Unfortunately too early for us to eat,just had a coffee and a tea. The meals coming out looked very generous portions, sorry we had had a late breakfast. Tea was served in a pot,with a pot of hot water.....enough for two cups.The capochino was piping hot,and very reasonably priced. Will be back to try the food. Lots of locals eating, so that is always a good sign.

It's always a good idea to go where all the locals go!We were not disappointed. We were offered a table inside,but the weather was nice so we sat outside.We had a tea and a mug of coffee....capochino. The tea came in a little pot with a pot of hot water,all served on a silver coloured tray,very civilised. We did not have any food,but the meals being brought out looked very generous. Will be sure to try . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Inside it was laid out for social distancing. Will br back. The price of a small capochino where I live in Saundersfoot is £2.80,for a small one served in a paper cup,today we paid £1.90,for a large one served in a nice China mug.

First went here 3 yrs ago and glad to say it hasn’t changed. It was busy which is always a good sign this being 11 am. Polite and prompt service. Orders taken at your table which you don’t get at some cafes. Although we had a cuppa and a delicious tea cake we could see that the meals delivered to customers were of good portions. A few regulars as staff on first name terms. Nice to see a personal touch.

Went for breakfast- 4 adults 3 children. Very hospitable and lovely service. Food cooked lovely on warmed plates (nice touch) Reasonable prices for quality. Would go back again.

Stopped in after failing to get seats in three other coffee shops , managed to get the last seats not in ideal spot but at least sat. Waitress was polite and friendly . Place was busy with what looked like good home cooked cafe food . Our coffees arrived and very nice , and some lovely cake .Good value and we will be back for the food

First visit to Abergervenny and found Annette's perfect for a quick sandwich and drink with lots of customers enjoying full meals. Great homemade food and very pleasant staff. Highly recommended

We called in for lunch and ordered two breakfasts.They were served piping hot on hot plates,good start.The meals and drinks were good and served with a smile.What a change to get decent food and service.We will be returning.

Up Lewis Lane just off Frogmore Street - (the main drag). Good for coffee, breakfast and lunch all at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and the service very good.

Having walked out of an establishment for not being served (15 minute wait!) we stumbled across this little place. Polite, friendly staff and good food. We will eat here again on our next visit ..... Fantastic chips by the way!!!....

We arrived here following an awful visit to a fish and chip restaurant in Abergavenny. Absolutely brilliant! Great service, great food... If you are looking for no frills, this is the place to go. Great staff , an all round great place to eat

A popular cafe with the locals I had the bacon sandwich which was very nice, my friend had the soup which was very nice. All food freshly made. The staff were very nice and service was quick.

We called into Annettes for a well deserved dinner, and as allways served with dignity not rushed at all, we had steak and ale pie with chips and side salad, expectations were understandably delicious waitresses were very welcoming , we will be going again.

8 of us aged from 43 to 88 had lunch here today. Scones and jam, salad, beans on toast, poached egg on toast, baguettes etc. All food was lovely and fresh. Service was friendly and quick.

We had the best cream tea ever at this cafe - big, warm, fluffy, home made scones with jam and proper clotted cream. Staff helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

A great place for a quiet coffee, on the way to and from the Cinema Disabled parking bays, Lewis Walk is not the easiest path to use when pushing a wheelchair but having this cafe at the top of the steepest part of the path makes the place a great stop. A great cup of tea or coffee, with great friendly service from the husband and wife team along with their employees.

The dinner was excellent we had pie and chips with peas, served within 7 minutes, very friendly and very very clean, if they can provide anything you need they will try to accommodate you, been going there for years and the standard has always been excellent, their sweet dishes are to die for .The owners and the staff are always polite and as always very pleasant Thankyou to you all.

Myself and my daughter popped in here for lunch today and it was very nice my daughter had a chicken tikka baguette and a bowl of chips and I had a salmon salad with a jacket potato, both were really good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

On a little side street, Annette's was wonderful. The owner and staff were so lovely and friendly, very chatty with us and our little one.

After a days walking we were looking for a place for a late light lunch towards the end of the afternoon and a few we put our heads into said they were closing and not serving food but this stayed open and we had a nice big pot of tea and tuna sandwiches which were great and at reasonable prices with friendly servie

Came across this restaurant by chance when visiting the area for the first time. We sat in a tiny corner as the only available seat which was cramped, however, the staff spotted own as uncomfortable and offered a better table which they quickly cleaned for us. All staff were super friendly and efficient. The food service was quick and the quality of food was superb. I would not hesitate in recommending this place for quality, simple and homemade food! We will definitely be back.

This place being slightly off the beaten track, it is well worth the detour to find this establishment. The food is excellent and the service impeccable.

Went to our favourite in Abergavenny, Annettes , always very cheerful staff, very clean, clean table linen, and serviettes, Wonderful range of cooked and cold meals and followed by deserts, what ever you want you can ask for and it will be provided, plenty of room and clean toilets. ...We have been going there for years and would not go anywhere else In Abergavenny

Staff friendly and efficient. Food reasonably priced. My one complaint is that the place lacks ventilation. The windows all steamed up and the smell of cooking had nowhere to go but linger on clothes and hair. Ok in summer to sit outside.

We wanted a cooked breakfast after coping with the sales 😊 What a find this was. Lovely hot food freshly cooked, but not to much of a wait thou 😊 Busy which is always a good sign. Defo go back again 😊

Nos sentamos y pedimos al ser recomendado para comer aquí, persiguieron a nuestro orden después de 30 minutos, como otros que habían servido de nosotros ya había terminado. Se dijo el miembro del equipo sin pedir la cocina pero nada llegó tras otro 20 minutos. Así que finalmente les dije que no molestes. No hay disculpa ni nada. Hay mucho más lugares para comer en Abergavenny que merecen tu dinero. Por no encontrar una joya y un buceo.

Sencillo, recién comida casera, siempre sirve. El café es normalmente muy concurrida, pero si puedes encontrar una mesa que le servirán rápidamente por el personal muy amable. No fue una experiencia gourmet, pero a veces lo que uno quiere es jamón, huevos y patatas fritas!

Visitamos durante una concurrida el viernes por la tarde en Abergavenny y el lugar estaba abarrotado. Tuvimos que esperar fuera una mesa esa es la popularidad. Cuando nos dieron una mesa de nuestra orden fue tomada rápidamente y bebidas llegamos en sólo un par de minutos a pesar del lugar rebosante.

We usually ask where the locals eat and this is it, you need to arrive at 12 to be sure of a seat,Wendy who is gluten intolerant was well served, with them bringing the gravy packet out for her to check when she settled for the chicken and mash.I settled for the all day breakfast well cooked and presented followed by the Jam roly poly with ice-cream something I haven't had for years and now realise what I have been missing.A good lunch stop with simple good value food served by happy friendly staff, and an excellent pot of tea.This isn't the last time me will use this excellent little restaurant that's so much better than the High Street nationals.

Couldn't really find anything to fault here. A busy little place tucked just off the main shopping street, and understandably busy when compared to some of the other cafes in town, but you don't feel crammed in at all. A warm welcome to a clean and homely feeling place. Staff all happy, smiling and very warm and polite. Food and drinks served in good time, freshly prepared, tasty and cooked perfectly. Definitely good value for money. Only takes cash, but don't change your mind, there are a couple of cash points less than a minutes walk on the main shopping street.

Cheap, simple food well cooked. My husband had his standard - steak pie - very well filled, not mainly gravy as is usual. My omelette was perfectly made. Plenty of staff in kitchen to ensure swift delivery of order. Would highly recommend for quick, cheap lunch.

Have been several times and always had very good service, very homely atmosphere and always welcomed with a smile and a hello. I had ham, egg and chips which was hot and delicious, the ham was beautiful, definitely hand carved not pre packed. A pot of tea completed the meal. Well worth a visit when in Abergavenny.

Excellent cafe/restaurant. Always good, quick service, clean and well presented with good table staff. Food is super, hot and tasty. Highly recommended for the full breakfast.

First time visit to Annette's in abergavenny, what can I say, fab service, very friendly and welcoming place, staff can't do enough for you, plenty of room you can eat in or outside, food great, lots of choice, from cooked breakfast to main meals, all food cooked fresh when ordered, we went late in afternoon about 3.30pm, full menu still available, I would recommend Annette's even if you only want coffee,

One of the best breakfasts in town but the food is always cooked fresh and the service is excellent.Very clean, very friendly, very good value for money.

We had not visited Abergavenny for several years but remembered we had, on previous visits, had a good experience at a small restaurant up one of the side streets in the town centre. We found it again. Annette’s. It is better than we remembered. It is fairly small seating about 40 . The food is all home cooked and therefore one is warned that there might be a wait – but we did not experience this. The menu is mostly simple traditional fare. Comfort food. We had a steak and ale pie and home made faggots. Excellent and ample. Just what was needed on a rather dismal and rainy day. Omelettes and about 20 or other staples were on the menu. Puddings, which we did not feel able to tackle included variants on the “sticky” theme, bread and butter pudding, spotted Dick etc with custard or cream (you get the picture? And a range of ice creams. Our bill for the two main courses plus tea came to £14.50. Credit cards are not accepted. The place seemed deservedly very popular at lunchtime and one may be in rather close proximity to other customers which in our case added to the enjoyment. The serving staff were extremely pleasant, efficient and, if one can says , attractive. We will be back before long.
