Took around 15 minutes to order and be served coffee and custard tarts. Waiter was chatting away to the colleague who was pouring the coffee. Limited parking time makes this a big problem as well as being stressful. The decor is excellent and the idea of plant cuttings displayed on the wall in tubes for you to take away is very novel. Prices were average. There is outside seating available.

The Rogerstone Bean and Bread is, without doubt, one of the nicest experiences that I have had since moving to the area. Fabulous coffee { *served at the correct temperature), they are delightful to my Labrador …. The staff are way beyond lovely and the food is great.. A very far cry from another venue quite close (attached to a garden centre is a clue) ; after a miserable experience on several occasions there…whilst small and bijou , this place is a revelation.

Popped in for coffee late morning. Ordered a chai latte and have never had one anywhere near as good at any cafe I’ve ever been to ever! It was simply unbelievably good. It arrived with a strainer and a little pot of maple syrup, which I’ve never had before. I will be going back for sure! Really lovely waitress too and nice vibe. Definitly a great spot to go to when in Abergavenny.

Lovely find on the entrance to the town. Gorgeous decor of lots of plants and nature with a cute terrace. Food was absolutely delish and can’t stop raving about the mince on toast. Cakes were lovely and menu catered for my vegan friend with great selection without being a massive list of offerings. Have already recommended to friends who will be visiting from London over Easter.

I’ve been a regular at Bean & Bread over the past couple of years and have always loved visiting, especially because they advertised themselves as a ‘dog friendly’ brunch spot. However, after my latest experience, I’m really disappointed. I recently took a young puppy with me, who barked a little as we arrived, again when another dog came in, and once more when we were asked to sit outside. While I completely understand that a barking dog can be disruptive, it was quite embarrassing, especially as I was with my disabled mother. It feels like dogs are only welcome if they are completely silent, which isn't very realistic — especially for young ones. Sadly, it seems Bean & Bread isn’t as dog friendly as they claim to be. I won’t be returning with the dogs — I’ll be choosing somewhere that is genuinely welcoming to all. It’s a real shame as I used to enjoy coming here.

Poor service from start to finish, me and my wife decided to have breakfast there both ordered full English so they brought the food out then they forgot the cutlery so we waited 5-10 mins for the cutlery whilst watching the waitresses walk past us twice serving other people whilst we sat watching our food go cold! So in the end I managed to get the cutlery my self! 2 full English 2 coffees and a watered down ice tea £45! Poor service! Over priced! Won’t be rushing to come back.

Popped in today for lunch. Waited around an hour for some very expensive minced lamb on a slice of toast. It tasted great but was definitely not worth the money or the wait. Atmosphere is lovely and coffee and cakes looked good but wouldn't visit again for anything more.

First time visiting for food, and I couldn't be more impressed... as a coeliac you never know what the quality of things like the bread will be and for me it can really elevate the offering .. it can be ok, good or fantastic... Well ...Bean and Bread get my top marks for the best gluten free bread I've had yet. Lovely local eggs too with the salmon and poached eggs on toast it was so delicious as was the americano, such good rich coffee.... thank you 😋. I'll be back next time I'm in town !!!

Loved this place so much, seriously good brunch. Started with a coffee 'flight' which is something I've not seen before but it was a great idea. Turkish Eggs with a side of Hash Browns was delicious, especially as a vegetarian breakfast. All the other food we had was great, I also enjoyed a beetroot latte. Good choice of cakes and cookies too. Really nice vibe inside and lovely staff, highly recommended.

This is my third time visiting bean and bread and it never disappoints. The food is great and they have options for different dietary requirements including vegan options. My son was especially pleased with the vegan cruffin (at £5 I thought this was a little on the expensive side but he thought it was delicious). The coffee is really good too. Due to the popularity of the place you may have to wait for a table, especially during busy times like weekends and holidays.

I had visited the Abergavenny branch before which was great, and I was so pleased when I saw one was opening a bit closer to home, I took a detour from my commute to pop in and was so glad I did, I just had a coffee and a massive almond croissant which was delicious, freshly made and really enjoyable. Staff where friendly and seemed to know exactly what they where doing despite the store only being a few days old I loved the asthetic of the bare plaster walls and courtyard looked great too, I would like some cushions on the chairs though as they’re quite hard. Coffee excellent, card payment system excellent, was asked if I wanted to join a Loyalty scheme which I would normally do but I’m not local to the area. We were excited to try the new branch based in Rogerstone. On arriving, the staff were very friendly and provided prompt service. I ordered a breakfast. At £13, and from the description, I wrongly assumed it would be a decent portion. The sausage patty was tiny. The piece of sourdough toast matched the size of the poached egg - far too small. The mushrooms resembled those you would find in a tin. I’m not really sure what I would liken the rosti to but it had a bit of a spicy kick to it. I wouldn’t rush back, which is a shame. Overall, it was a very expensive brunch where I went home hungry.

The lady who served me was nice, the cafe was clean but unfortunately they were out of stock of 2 things I wanted. The food and drink was nice but very overpriced for what it was. My husband and I found this place by chance, when going out for a little celebration. The decor is lovely, with so many plants and a homely atmosphere. There were also free plant cuttings which is a great idea. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk and it was loose leaf, with a little steel pan and strainer, which was super cute! It was a little pricier than expected, but it was a really tasty chai and very nicely presented. There were a good selection of vegan cakes, including a cinnamon bun and Biscoff slice, which was a little bit amazing! I will definitely come back to Bean & Bread if I'm back in the area. Thanks guys!
