Beautiful location and beer garden is beautiful next to the river, however the barmaid was very snappy with my boyfriend and it seemed very clicky. A shame as it would be beautiful in the summer months

Lovely pub with rooms, no food but we were given a breakfast hamper and found milk and yoghurt in our room fridge, plenty of tea and coffee. Bar nice for an evening drink, pub right on the river Usk. Downside it's on a very busy main road, we had a room at the front and it was noisy from 6am to 9pm.

Lovely pub next to the river. Good choice of lagers as well as beers on tap. Very friendly staff. Huge beer garden with tables and a covered area with tables for when the Welsh weather gets the better of you. Also dog friendly so tell the wife your taking the dog for a walk down by the river.... Stop in have a pint, go for a stroll along the river, stop in for a pint in the way back 😁 Small car park and limited in street parking.

This is a Beautiful Pet Friendly Pub. It is very very clean always smells fresh and lovely. Prices are Very Reasonable.! Also has a Beer Garden which overlooks the River. The Young Landlady is very Friendly. I went there recently and asked for a latte coffee which they dont normally do. But she went out of her way to provide Hot Milk to put in my Coffee. So relaxing there for both Locals and Holiday Makers Alike. No complaints whatsoever . Perfect 💕

This pub was truly a gem in the middle of nowhere after our driving from England. There was live music, river, many options with draft beer, including Czech Republic-Staropramen which cost £5.20 , other local beers £4.50, staff was very friendly., welcoming, outside was also a stand with freshly baked pizza including gluten free base and vegan cheese . Definitely recommending !

I've never been to this pub, but if any welsh emergency services are on/near bridge, then I ring the pub as they have full veiw, for when it safe to cross bridge, once they've gone. Their beer garden looks nice, always full of public. But I do object to their customers blocking the sidewalk with their cars, especially as the pub provides a small car park. Twice a BLACK BMW has blocked the sidewalk, a few weeks ago pouring heavy rain, driver didn't move, sat on my mobility scooter in front of BMW for 30+ minutes, I broke down and had to be rescued because of it. BMW there again today, he did move it, but don't park on sidewalks.

We stopped off while walking back from town to the Premier Inn. Sadly food was not being served on the Monday night - however we enjoyed a couple of drinks in the sunshine while watching the river run by maybe next time we will time it better and try some grub.

We were on a canal holiday with Beacon Park Boats, and moored at Llanfoist to look for a pub for early evening meal. We walked down the cycle route from Llanfoist towards Abergavenny and came across The Bridge Inn after a 15 min walk down from the canal. This was the fastest, cheapest and best meal we had out of 5 pubs/cafes visited during our holiday. Lasagne was excellent and crispy bacon on the stacked burger was very tasty. Simple menu, done well, proper pub grub plus baguettes etc. Plenty of tables outside looking over the river and bridge, and inside looked nice too. Location was also particularly handy for canal holidaymakers as the walk back is past Waitrose to pick up supplies.

The Bridge has new management called Will and Georgia and they have certainly rung in some improvements since taking over. The best is that the food menu has been reinstated and Sunday lunch with three courses of fabulous. We’d advise booking a table in advance as space is limited but this pub is a great place to relax by the river Usk and Castle Meadows of Abergavenny

Our two vegetarian friends staying with us for the New Year really loved the food and the location of this pub by the river. This was only our second time of eating here but definitely won't be the last. The service was excellent, the chef really cares about people enjoying the food and came to check personally to ensure everything was okay - it was! The food was served fresh, hot and was really good value for money. The real ale is well kept and the staff are really friendly. A great start to the New Year. I would highly recommend this Inn after a walk along the canal.

Attended The Bridge Inn as pub 1 on son's stag, all sober. They put on lunch for 12 and all the staff from waitresses to Chef Gareth couldn't do enough for us. Of the following eight pubs in Abergavenny this is one I would definitely revisit. Thanks to all.

A nice pub that serves a wide range of local ales, however I will not eat there again. I stopped there after two hard days of walking across surrounding hills and mountains and I ordered beef roast and a pint of Blorenge Golden Ale. A nicely presented meal with lots of vegetable and gravy, but the meat was almost raw, very very undercooked, and that really did spoiled my appetite for the rest of the day. I did enjoy the pint.

Just spent a wonderful evening catching up with friends in The Bride Inn in Abergavenny. What lovely people ! The landlord and lady were so accomadating- nothing was too much trouble, even when my friend mentioned she was disappointed her favourite pie wasn't on that day they said next time to let them know we were going and they'd make it especially for her. Now that is fantastic service! The food was fabulous and it won't be too long before we go again x

Lovely quaint pub but too small inside and dark for a large function like a wedding. Glad they had the marque outside but needed more seating areas in and out for the amount of guests

Doesn't seem very inviting from the outside and, first impressions of the inside are of a rather tired premises but.........you then get a very friendly welcome ( never been here before), a welcome for the dogs and a nice menu, well cooked and tasty. With friendly locals as well this is exactly the first pub you want to visit in Wales if you have just come over the border. No complaints.

Another enjoyable visit to the Holland Arms. Usual friendly welcome and great service. We shared a duck starter from the specials board, amazing, especially the sauce. We then had lamb and steak as our mains. Both meats were delicious as were the accompanying vegetables. Good choice of wine (I enjoyed the Malbec). Couldn’t resist a bread and butter pudding for dessert - even though full. Look forward to our next visit - probably one of the Christmas meals now being advertised. Very reasonable bill.

Having not been to The Greyhound for a year or so, I was thrilled with our choice. Nothing had changed, everything was as good as before. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Despite the restaurant being busy, Service was prompt and friendly and the food ( Steak & Kidney Pie / Fruity Chicken Curry ) was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended. We certainly won't leave it so long till we return
