Sat in restaurant forb10inutes until I was acknowledged. Some food was cold, some was overly oily like it hadn't just been cooked but been sitting at the bottom of a pot. Lamb bones in chicken meals. Whole cardamon pods in onion bahjees. Very much not what was the usual quality from them.

absolutely terrible service, ordered on NYE, after waiting and extra 45 mins, half of the order was missing when I got home and everything was cold, I called to advise it was missing and was told to go back as they can’t offer delivery, when I arrived they said they didn’t think I wanted the missing food so had to wait another 20 mins. I have asked both the restaurant and just eat for a refund, to which both refused. I would advise anyone to avoid ordering here

I absolutely love there chicken tikka starter , it’s the best I’ve ever had and well worth me going to collect it and there curry is amazing I wouldn’t go anywhere else now just the best !!

Ordering online was straight forward and the food is amazing. I’m a huge curry fan and thought it’s the best I’ve had from any takeaway or restaurant. Ordered again to make sure and I was right the first time. If you like Indian food your love it.

Was a little disappointed that I got chicken instead of lamb in my vindaloo as I was looking forward to it. Never the less the chicken was moist which was great. All the other bits the family enjoyed. Will order again

Order take away of vegetable biryani and butter chicken, came on time but food inedible. No taste, poor quality, meat chewy. Papadum came in pieces... No worth the price you are paying for. Simply not professional.

Food is incredible. Wait time on New Year’s Eve was Ridiculous. Any other time of the year this place is great.

I am still waiting for my order at 08.50. It was meant to be collected at 19:15 then the timing changed on arrival to collection at 19:45. I am still waiting for the order now yet the restaurant have marked this order as collect when in fact it is still not done. This is now an hour and 30 minutes late! Clearly instead of doing the decent thing the restaurant have taken on far too many orders that they cannot cope with. I will NEVER EVER use this restaurant again. One of the people this order was supposed to be for is diabetic and so has had to eat something else as they cannot wait much longer. Such a waste of time and money absolutely disgraceful service! I feel sorry for all businesses during this difficult time but it is terrible when they get greedy and take on orders they cannot fulfill. It’s 1 degree outside and I have stood outside in the cold for 90 minutes now waiting for my order as the inside was full of people and unventilated and so dangerous right now. I wish I didn’t bother. I’ve tried to get hold of customer service but it has a queue of 99 people.

I went to order delivery via Just Eat, and found that all prices were 50-60% higher than collection, in addition to a delivery charge. Delivery costs and commissions are inevitable but this misleading and excessive.

I really don't like to leave bad reviews unless the food really warrants one, sadly in this case it does. Both my wife's meal and my own was incredibly bland. They were just lacking flavour. The meat wasn't of great quality either. Lots of fat in it. We both put our food onto the plate and when we sat down to eat we both had a large amount of water in a pool collecting at the sides of our plates. Truth be told I've had tastier microwave curries. Most certainly won't be returning. Given them 2 stars as their time keeping was brilliant and they threw in a couple of extra popadoms.

Flavourless biriani and Bombay potatoes and dried up hard chips ,threw they away as they were inedible .It was the first time I tried this shop and will be the last !

Collected my ordered to find out when we got home that it was the complete wrong order. I then phoned to let them know and they asked me to bring the food back down, as the people’s whose order it was were there waiting for it. In normal circumstances this would be completely unacceptable to give this food back out due to the fact we had bought it home and opened it all up, but given the current circumstances with COVID-19 this is disgusting! After complaining and being told it was just a mistake the gentleman agreed to make our correct order again fresh as it would have been sitting there for more than 30mins. We then got home the second time round to find we had been given onion bharji’s instead of vegetable samosas! Safe to say I definitely won’t be ordering from here again!

Absolutely lovely food, I ordered for 5 adults and the got the whole order right, it was still Hot when we got home too. Would recommend and I will order from there again.

First time using as usual was closed, was looking forward to it and pleasantly surprised by the price - but I suppose you get what you pay for. Bland and tasteless.

Tried this last night. Food was delivered in a good time considering the circumstances. saag paneer was really nice. Much better than some of the other takeaways around. Lamb tikka Vindaloo tasted nice but could have done with a little more spice. I've had cheaper takeaways but that wouldn't stop me going back. All in all we paid £55 for a family of 3 but we all ate well and enjoyed it.

Fantastic as always! This has been my Indian takeaway of choice for the past decade. They always go above and beyond and look after loyal customers well. Mr Knowles

Tandoori chicken uncooked, nan bread rubbery and very hard, will not recommend this place to any one

Lovely tasting tikka masala, must have eaten it 15 times over the years. Food is always well packaged and kept hot for the journey home. Highly recommend

Change time to half an hour later without my knowledge so we came away with no food

I have been going to anamika for years but today they lose a loyal customer as for the third time my madras has been extremely oily and runny.

First time ordering from here, lovely fresh food, collected and was still piping hot when we got it home!

I thought I would start the week with a curry. Ordered online for a later collection. I fancied a change from my usual mixed grill and opted for my other favourite which is a Thali. Good portion size including chicken tikka, kebab, tikka masala and a lamb curry. This was washed down with rice and a naan bread. The tikka and kebab were quite nice. Well cooked and fairly well spiced. The two curries were ok. Nothing to write home about but perfectly acceptable. The naan was properly cooked and had a lovely flavour There was a lot of it and I was unable to finish it. I would recommend this place if you are after a decent good value meal.

The food is always lovely but it’s a shame that every time we have ordered from here there has been something wrong with our order. Today it was the wrong rice... Just make sure you check your order!

Every dish we've ordered from here has been beautiful, the saag paneer is amazing! The service that you receive here is what makes the Indian takeaway so special though, they take pride in their food and so they should!

Great food ready when takeaway said it would be.....only criticism is that initially just eat app told me 7.05pm but within 2 minutes of placing order take away confirmed 7.25pm

1st time I'v used here - certainly not the last. OK so it was a Tuesday, not known as a busy night, but the food was ready within the 20 minutes stated. Friendly staff. Got the food home, still piping hot, and fairly good too. Definitely going back!!

We ordered a king prawn korma, however revived a chicken korma. This was ordered for a vegetarian who was then left without a meal. We were very disappointed with this as did not have time to come back down.

Rang to confirm time food would be ready. Very pleasant professional member of staff serving and explaining a few minutes delay, and who made each customer feel special. Food itself was of a good quality, and portions were of a good size making it very good value for money. I will be ordering from Anamika in the future...

Have used this Indian takeaway since it opened in 1988. Just had another delicious meal. If you haven't tried the anamika please do. You will not be disappointed. Please be aware they are extremely busy on a Saturday evening, a sign of their great reputation, so can take an hour or so for your food to be ready. They don't offer a delivery service which, for me, is a probably a good thing.

If you want to have an Indian takeaway with flavour then avoid this place like the plague!!!! Was tempted to go back and ask if I could have my flavour to go with the meal! The chicken bhuna had hardly any sauce or coriander and the chicken was almost non existent and what chicken we did have in our very small portion was grisly. The rice was very watery and had no substance to it. The bhaji lacked any kind of spice flavouring, and the peshwari nan bread and had no coconut or almonds in it. The funny red onion sauce thingy was just onion in some red sauce without flavour and the yellow mint sauce had a surprise green chilli in it which gave my mouth third degree burns and was the only part of the meal that had any kind of flavour. Not sure how this place gets as many good reviews as it does as it was the worst curry experience I've ever encountered and clearly some people have no taste buds. Would never ever recommend this place and will definitely never use them again

Sadly the food quality was poor. This was our first visit... the tikka masala was bright red and too sweet. The lamb was very tough, chewy and dry and there was too much coconut in the sauce. On a positive, the naan bread and poppadoms were good. Very disappointed and will not order again.

Food was really tasty and our family really enjoyed the meal. Bombay Potatoes were amazing especially. The only thing was when we ordered it should have been £56.35 but when they went to collect it was £60+. I don't know why - the Chicken Balti states it is served with a Naan Bread and we added a note to ask for a specific Naan (not just plain). We would have been happy to pay a surcharge for this, which would have been 50 p in total. An extra £5 was added which exceeded the value of 2 extra Naans, so I can't work out why we were overcharged. This let the meal down, feel very cheated.

apparently Paneer in this restaurant means melted cheddar, so be aware that if u order saag paneer you get a gloopy oily lump of cheddar and spinach. despite turning up on the time which they said it would be ready still had to wait 15 minutes, not great given the poor parking options.

We ordered a take away on Saturday 19th august, unfortunately they do not deliver. We had to wait an hour which is a long time. I had a lamb bhuna - my usual Indian main dish- but didn't enjoy, it was too hot for me. The other food was nice, and reasonably priced.

First time using Anamika, the food was great, best Itske away Indian I've had in a long time. Lots of unique dishes, will definitely be using again. Service was also great, very friendly and efficient, top marks al around.
