Thank you for a lovely meal and great experience last night. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Lots of choice for vegans and those with different dietry requirements and the waiter was so helpful with guiding us through the menu. Toodler had a fab time too! We look forward to coming back again soon. 😁

First time we have been to this restaurant and it certainly won't be the last 100% in all respects all good freshly cooked and served at your table, being a Sunday it was eat as much as you want , do many things to choose from, a nice 'cosy' little place serving excellent food and very plentyful excellent service and friendly staff We'll be back !! We have tried several Indian restaurants and takeaways but so far Amala takes top marks Clean tidy and makes you feel comfortable Would strongly advise anybody to go and try for themselves

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant and to be honest we didn’t get it, the driver delivered it to a house with no one at home . Left it on the door step apparently. Phone the restaurant the guy on the phone shouted down the phone I told you how long it would take, not sorry we delivered it to the wrong address. Don’t bother here absolutely rubbish

We had a takeaway meal for 6 tonight it took 40 min as was told food was hot plentiful and very tasty my family was very happy we normally dine in but this was first takeaway it was great thank you.

Went on a Sunday evening for the “All you can eat”special. Very impressed. The service was excellent. The food was piping hot and generous portions. Excellent value for money. Could not fault it and would definitely recommend

Had a really lovely meal for 2 to celebrate my birthday, food was lovely and fresh tasting. We are not big eaters so looking forward to second day curry tomorrow

Have had takeaway from here both and it’s been pretty good, so decided to try the all you can eat buffet on a Sunday. There are 2 hour time slots, we went for the 2pm-4pm time slot. We were one of the last tables to arrive in that time slot meaning our orders were on of the last. Drinks took a long time and we had to ask for them twice. Starters were served fairly quickly but we ordered our mains after our starters were finished, we probably didn’t get our mains until 3:30pm at which some dishes were missing and they had to cook those. It got to just before 4pm and we were being rushed out as the next timeslot were arriving. No time to order anymore even though it’s as much as you like. The timeslots don’t work, it’s no good having everyone turn up at the same time, it needs to be spread over time. There were equally other frustrated faces in the restaurant at how long the food was taking, the food quality was not great either. Will not be returning based on that.

We went for Mothers Day all you can eat for £14.95. Time slot 4-6pm. Service was awful so slow and staff very unhelpful. Food finally arrived at 5.45pm and most of it was cold with quite a lot of food few missing. No apology. We left. Will not be going back. Very disappointing.

This restaurant always exceeds expectations. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is amazing - the best in the area easily. We have returned to the area in the last year and tried other local Indian restaurants but this wins hands down. The chef is always happy to create something unique for us if we cannot devide what to have.We are now regulars for both takeaways and eating in. Our advice is to try it and see what we are raving about ! Keep up the good work guys 😊

We regularly visit the Amala having recently returned to the area.This place is a little gem and by far the best Indian restaurant/takeaway in the area (and we are spoilt for choice).The staff are always very warm and welcoming and their genuine love and passion for food is evident in the beautiful food that is served. I tend to be a creature of habit and have a bengal with extra coriander and chillies but every so often I ask for help and inspiration and try something different.They are happy to suggest new dishes which seem perfect for my taste and I have never been disappointed. There is so much choice with a very interesting menu that is reasonably priced. Eat in or takeaway I have only had positive experiences.I usually visit with my partner,occasionally friends and have also been in with large parties between 12 to 15 people for family occasions. The atmosphere,food and service has been worth top marks. Thank you to the Amala for always making our night!

Lovely food, excellent service. I’m really fussy with meat and can’t stand anything chewy. The chicken and lamb we had was succulent and tasty and not chewy at all. Flavours were good and portion sizes were just right for two. We will definitely return.

Went there for dinner on Wednesday evening there was only one other table being used a dad and his two children . It was a banquet night for £14.95 for any starter excluding fish and prawn dishes any main except fish and prawn you pay £2.50 extra on starters for any of those dishes and £3.50 on mains,and any side dish and any rice or a naan each. I had a mixed starter and my wife had chicken chat both nice the mains she had mixed grill but it came with king prawns we don't know how many 1 or 2 but they wanted to charge me £3.50 for the dish just coming with a couple of prawns rather than a whole king prawn dish unbelievable but hey he said he would do it without king prawn so that's what she had expensive for what she got. I had a chicken tikka dansak it was ok not the best and we shared a mushroom rice and a keema naan which I sent back as there was no meat in it that I could see and all soggy and oily on top ,which they did a new one ,better. Pint of cobra each job done it was ok wouldn't go back even for their banquet night but try it for yourselves.

Excellent food best place in benfleet. %100 the food the banging! And %100 5 stars best place ever especially the lamp chops taste like steak!

Had a fabulour birthday celebration on Friday here. Just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful food and service. All 18 of us had a fantastic evening.

Popadom’s not fresh and tasted days old. Mix shashlick - no prawns and small pieces of meet - again all not tasting fresh. Have ordered from before and enjoyed but noticeably not fresh and disappointed especially due to the cost for meal to be missing a main ingredient.

We eat Indian on a regular basis we thought we’d try a new restaurant this was by far one of the worst in Essex we’ve ever had! The popadoms were stale, the korma tasteless and added water , the madras lacked that kick and intense favour, it was all luke warm, the nann bread was the only thing we ate the rest went strait in the bin !!!! Never order again we are not a moaning nit picky takeout eater we treat ourselves once/twice a week so we know our food and how it should taste and arrive!

If you want a lighter choice try the naan wrap it’s incredible! I just had their lamb tikka wrap it was amazingly good. It was the best wrap I’ve had in a very long time, hats off to the chef.

This was the worst tikka masala my whole family have ever eaten. It was so sweet that none of us could finish. My siblings had a chicken tikka each and I had jackfruit. The chicken was tough and the jackfruit was like eating pineapple in both taste and texture. There was no spice whatsoever. The naans were stodgy. My brother ordered a plain naan and received a peshwari instead. The vindaloo curry was a 5/10. The tikka masala 1/10. Disgusting!

Girlfriend had to go and pick up her meal as they forgot it…

Sent me a text saying it’s on its way over an hour ago and it’s still not here! Ordered 2 hours ago, keep phoning and they keep saying will be here in 5 minutes

Delicious food, good portions just a shame the poppadoms were soggy and had to go in the oven to be crisped up.

Very disappointed ….Not a good as normal, no heat in any of the curries, especially the Vindaloo and phall, …. Chanda bhuna and Pathia were tasteless ….. first poor curry we have had from here, maybe there is a new chef.. but spending £70 you’d expect it to be right .

Even though the wrong order was sent out and I had to wait for the items I originally ordered, they did resolve the issue and food tasted nice.

Visited this venue on a Friday evening, we received our drinks and Popadoms pretty instantly. We had to ask twice to order our mains and for the bill which was slightly agitating. The food overall was fairly nice but the popadoms didn’t taste fresh. My husband enjoyed his chicken balti however could of done with more pieces Of chicken. Chicken tikka was lovely however as was the tandoori chicken.

Food took almost 2 hours to arrive and we had to chase the restaurant TWICE.

First time using this restaurant. Great food, could if been warmer. Would have liked to see the red sauce on the menu, along with the onion salad, mint and mango chuckney. Popadoms needed to be crisper not soggy. Otherwise a decent meal.

We called the restaurant to ask about a certain dish they were Lovely & explained the dish in detail. Food was delivered on time hot & tasty. We will be ordering again thank you 👍

We like Amala and would still get it. But they have a 20 minute window to deliver the food and they were 25 minutes early which was not convenient. If they had said they would be that time I would have requested a different time.

Lovely tasting food, good quality ingredients. Just thought there could have been a little more meat. Only 7 pieces of chicken in a chicken tikka masala but it was delicious and would order again

If you like oily food this is the place. Had a good layer of oil on top. Lacks flavour also.

Menu looked very interesting so decided to order, we ordered 2 different keema dishes and the lamb mince was off, tasted absolutely awful, cannot get the bad taste out of my mouth it was that bad. I would not recommend ordering food from here

Popadoms we’re a bit stale and the chicken was hard but other than that the food was lovely

First time ordering and sadly will be the last. Went by the reviews on how good the food was but this wasn't the case for us. Rice was watery and the tikka masala had a grainy texture. Popadoms so greasy. Gutted.

Haven't had an Indian in a long while, as my favourite restaurant closed. This was my first order and I wasn't disapointed with the food. The order was delivered ahead of time given. The food quality was excellent. I would order again from this establishment. I thought the on-line ordering was easy to use.

Popadoms we’re stale and the rice was hard, shame as everything else was ok, not great but ok. We tried a different one from our normal for a change but won’t be coming back as good rice and popadoms are key for me!

Tried this place out for the first time and it was amazing! Large portions and it was really hot once arrived, only thing I put no salad in my wrap but once arrived it had it, soggy hot lettuce wasn’t good BUT they gave me extra popadoms which were lovely so I really rate this place. Can’t wait to have a curry again from them. Thank you

Waited over 3 hours for our food to find out the delivery driver delivered it when they never. I love this place and food but waiting over 3 hours is a joke. They were happy to do it again but I am not waiting another hour as it is late.

Order turned out wrong, first dish was a seafood grill supposed to be various bits of fish and calamari rings and shrimp/mussel curry, the curry and calamari was missing. second dish was tandoori main, supposed to be half a chicken and prawns, chicken was missing. when l phoned to inform them, He was most apologetic, turned up with a replacement meal, unfortunately was the same as before. when questioned on this, apparently ticking prawns on {sub-menu} tandoori main deletes the chicken ???. missing shrimp/mussel curry and calamari rings??? mumbled in Indian and left. Result = two lots of missing dinner
