Really nice garden centre with a huge variety of plants and trees, a long with tons of outdoor hardware to choose from. The quality of the hardware is high (which is reflected in the price) so is definitely worth coming to if you are looking to kit out your outdoor spaces for years to come. This is now our regular garden centre and will always come here first for anything we need.

Delivery service is great. Just wish that the brands of compost on sale were higher quality and consistent. Please can you stock Melcourt/Sylvagro? Levington’s is the worst compost I have ever used, waste of £ and seems to be the main brand you stock for delivery?

Best Bristol garden centre, great range of excellent quality plants at a good price. A fantastic drive through compost/gravel/wood chip station. Great for Christmas stuff in winter and garden furniture, patios, pots and garden structures in summer. An okay cafe further in (ambience, food quality and selection could be a bit better), but very. On convenient and a nice destination for being in a garden centre.

Met my friend at the garden centre cafe today. The location, at the top of a steep path, is terrible, if you struggle with mobility good luck getting up there. The toasted tea cake was only toasted on one half and was cold. My decaf American was dreadful, I sent it back. I think they use very cheap tea bags because the tea was awful too. It’s also quite expensive.

I purchased some Dahlia tubers and Begonias. The Dahlia look good until unwrapped, but I then found that all the tubers were separated from the stem. I do not think anything will grow, a total rip off. Don't waste your money and shop elsewhere. I have potted up the begonias but so far they show know sign of life.

Pluses: Drive through Compost loading, wide range of garden furniture and decor, great place for a wander and inspiration, visible and helpful staff happy to answer questions. And - I walked away buying only a couple of non-garden items. The prices and availability of what I was looking for (bulbs and bare root plants) was disappointing. Enjoyed it as an outing, but had to go elsewhere to get the items needed for my garden. 🪴

We stopped here for an hour only, so difficult to say about all that the garden centre has to offer. But I have an example of customer service I'd like to share. At the café, I ordered a kid's meal for myself as I wasn't too hungry (the price for the adults meals cut right down my hunger, but it's everywhere nowadays, isn't it?) So, I was hoping no smart Alec till- attendant would ask for my ID as I didn't have the time to argue that I only had a kids' appetite... well, to my relief, a very polite and engaging young man took my order without a fuss, and did everything he could to keep me chilled and happy, as for all his other customers. That was already enough for me to give a good rate. As I was waiting for my meal to be sent to my table, i suddenly realised that i had 10 min to go back to the coach to let our customers in... on one hand, my lunch on its way and my hunger fully restored, on the other, duty and 50 people wanting to carry on their journey back home! Duty came first but i thought I'd let know the smiley guy at the till. Well, before i could say anything he proactively offered to put the meal in nice litttle boxes (not a vulgar doggy-bag) and hand me over my nicely wrapped lunch! Proper customer service! I didn’t have time to get the name of that young man, it was last friday, the 21st i believe. Well done and thank you mate! You got the whole garden centre a cushty 4 stars just by doing your job properly and caring for your customers!

I given it 2 stars because food was great but ruined by having to be sat amongst dogs. Why can't they have a dog section. One lady cleaning her dog's eyes then put the dirty wipes on the table. Her dog eating off the table which was disgusting then promptly filled the dogs water bottle (which the dog had drunk from ) from the jars of water that's put on the side for customers to drink. Not sure I would want to go back to eat which is a shame.

Ok an update to what i previously put, everyone deserves another chance... Went with the kids on 18/1/25. The garden center is pretty good but the cafe is still bad. Cakes were dry, hot chocolates were warm and not great flavour, the cappucciono again was warm and didnt have a great taste, but the bottle of pepsi was just what was expected !! So unfortunately it doesn't seem like they have improved... .. Went to Almondsbury garden center today (14/1/24) to have a look around and have something to eat in the cafe there. The garden center is OK.. the cafe on the other hand is a different story ! What food we had was OK. Four of us went there so ordered 2 full breakfasts, a vegi bap and a gluten free breakfast, well the gluten free one wanted scrambled egg with it as she doesnt like fried egg, got told thats not possible as all food is cooked to order, so asked why its not possible in that case and got told it just isn't... then they didn't have the sausages for it so were going to give extra hash browns, after asking 3 members of staff for them and them still not turning up we couldn't be bothered. The rest of the breakfasts seemed OK until we were leaving and then realised the 2 full breakfasts should have had black pudding with them as well.. this was realised as we were leaving... So to be honest we won't be going back nope would I recommend the cafe there to anyone unless you just want a drink as they maybe able to get that correct !!

But it wasn't nice looking.imo. The pot I saw online that was lovely wasn't available also was £400. Think I would of paid for it had it been for sale there. We also went to cafe, lovely and warm on freezing day. Staff friendly and food not too bad. Coffee nice, but seemed quite expensive for what we had. Overall I would definitely return

Used to love this garden centre resturant always had a good variety of food and drinks. Took out 3 yr old grandaughter to see the xmas display and have some lunch. Xmas Dec's were amazing. We then went to find the resturant which had been moved to an outbuilding and was a lot smaller than the On looking at the menu the variety was very poor and the children's menu was hot meals only. I went to the counter and asked if they did a cold choice such as a sandwiches ? Was told no they dont offer sandwhiches, so i asked if the could so a sandwich for me and thought I could share with my grandaughter( she did not want Pizza or chicken nuggets etc) told no they do panninis or ciabattas I find it really odd and a shame that the menu is so limited, especially for children. We had hot drinks ( my cappuccino was the worst I'd ever tasted) and left and unfortunately won't be returning again

You would think a prawn marie ciabatta was something any decent cafe could produce, but no, this place failed dismally. The prawns looked like tiny Atlantic shrimps and the sauce was so thin it was like pink water that soaked into the bread and made it soggy. The americano coffees came with milk so cold it instantly made the coffee almost undrinkable. The cafe was moved recently to a new building at the furthest point from the entrance. Shame they didn't take on some new kitchen staff. I would not recommend going to anyone.

WHY IS OUR HARD EARNED CASH NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!! I took my father who’s 85yrs old to Almondsbury garden centre and he wanted to treat me to a cup of tea and cake, he gave me £10 to go and purchase the treat. After placing my order I went to hand over the cash when the cafe assistant told me they don’t take cash! I asked why not and the response was “we just don’t” I said my father doesn’t have a card on him and only uses cash, I asked how would he pay for this treat? The response was “I don’t know but we don’t take cash” Unfortunately I hadn’t a means on me to pay for it so we had to leave the cafe. We then walked around the garden centre and my father chose a number of plants and peat free compost (this was the reason I took him in the first place ) we didn’t think when we got to the check out that his cash would be refused there too! The products he chose added up to £54, we couldn’t believe his cash was refused again! Unfortunately we had to leave the trolly of plants and leave. Years ago when I was a fairly regular visitor to this garden centre and cafe, back then the cafe was in the main building, easy to get to, a gentle walk through the shop. We wanted a light bite lunch, but now, in order to get to the cafe, you have to walk through the "department store", outdoors through the garden centre display area, and then up a fairly steep slope to find the cafe, my friend has severe mobility issues and not knowing about the walk to the cafe, we proceeded! How fair is it to the frail and less able bodied to make them walk that distance, with no clear offer of help, like a wheelchair or buggy. Please, do not say that wheel chairs/buggies are available, you have to know they are there, and at the exit area! The entrance area gives no clearly visible signage to show that help is available! Also, there were no clearly available members of staff to seek help. Will I want to go back, to be honest no.
