Honestly the food here is brilliant - they really go for it with the sandwiches and fish and chips! One thing I will say is that at lunch time the queue can get extremely long and I feel bad for the staff as it can be very chaotic (I would love an order from the table option to be available). The plants are great and the inside is pretty big so plenty to explore!

They don't take cash!! I was going to buy two big standard trees with a total value of £300 - I wanted to pay with cash but discovered they don't take cash. I guess that's because it's easier for them and saves them the bother of 'cashing up'. Note to manager - cash is legal tender and should be accepted, just because it's inconvenient to you! Suffice to say they lost out on a large sale and I went to Iron Acton Garden Centre who were cheaper and were very happy to accept my cash. Won't be shopping at Almondsbury Garden Centre again on principal.

Took our daughter for birthday lunch and plants. Two of the three meals were fine but my wife’s lasagna was overcooked and dry as a bone. We complained and they offered another but it was busy and by the time it would hsve taken to make we’d have finished the other meals. They said they’d tell the kitchen. Not very satisfied.

Was visiting the area and happened upon this garden centre by accident. Excellent choice of plants, which were all in great condition and looked very healthy in my view. There is also a great selection, of feeds, fertilisers and weed control products, all nicely grouped together. The selection of garden tools is very good too, with some tools and makes I'd not seen in any other garden centre. Finally their cafe, offers meals and snacks and cakes and excellent coffee. Well worth a visit in my view and I'll definitely call in again when in the area.

Really nice garden centre with a huge variety of plants and trees, a long with tons of outdoor hardware to choose from. The quality of the hardware is high (which is reflected in the price) so is definitely worth coming to if you are looking to kit out your outdoor spaces for years to come. This is now our regular garden centre and will always come here first for anything we need.

Best Bristol garden centre, great range of excellent quality plants at a good price. A fantastic drive through compost/gravel/wood chip station. Great for Christmas stuff in winter and garden furniture, patios, pots and garden structures in summer. An okay cafe further in (ambience, food quality and selection could be a bit better), but very. On convenient and a nice destination for being in a garden centre.

Met my friend at the garden centre cafe today. The location, at the top of a steep path, is terrible, if you struggle with mobility good luck getting up there. The toasted tea cake was only toasted on one half and was cold. My decaf American was dreadful, I sent it back. I think they use very cheap tea bags because the tea was awful too. It’s also quite expensive.

It's a shame that such a great garden centre has a not so great cafe. I ordered the roasted vegetable and halloumi ciabatta which arrived cold and was very rubbery. The side salad was old and turning colour and the coleslaw had a really strange taste so I decided to give it a miss. I'm sure the ciabatta would have tasted better if you went to the effort of warming it.

We stopped here for an hour only, so difficult to say about all that the garden centre has to offer. But I have an example of customer service I'd like to share. At the café, I ordered a kid's meal for myself as I wasn't too hungry (the price for the adults meals cut right down my hunger, but it's everywhere nowadays, isn't it?) So, I was hoping no smart Alec till- attendant would ask for my ID as I didn't have the time to argue that I only had a kids' appetite... well, to my relief, a very polite and engaging young man took my order without a fuss, and did everything he could to keep me chilled and happy, as for all his other customers. That was already enough for me to give a good rate. As I was waiting for my meal to be sent to my table, i suddenly realised that i had 10 min to go back to the coach to let our customers in... on one hand, my lunch on its way and my hunger fully restored, on the other, duty and 50 people wanting to carry on their journey back home! Duty came first but i thought I'd let know the smiley guy at the till. Well, before i could say anything he proactively offered to put the meal in nice litttle boxes (not a vulgar doggy-bag) and hand me over my nicely wrapped lunch! Proper customer service! I didn’t have time to get the name of that young man, it was last friday, the 21st i believe. Well done and thank you mate! You got the whole garden centre a cushty 4 stars just by doing your job properly and caring for your customers!

I given it 2 stars because food was great but ruined by having to be sat amongst dogs. Why can't they have a dog section. One lady cleaning her dog's eyes then put the dirty wipes on the table. Her dog eating off the table which was disgusting then promptly filled the dogs water bottle (which the dog had drunk from ) from the jars of water that's put on the side for customers to drink. Not sure I would want to go back to eat which is a shame.

Ok an update to what i previously put, everyone deserves another chance... Went with the kids on 18/1/25. The garden center is pretty good but the cafe is still bad. Cakes were dry, hot chocolates were warm and not great flavour, the cappucciono again was warm and didnt have a great taste, but the bottle of pepsi was just what was expected !! So unfortunately it doesn't seem like they have improved... .. Went to Almondsbury garden center today (14/1/24) to have a look around and have something to eat in the cafe there. The garden center is OK.. the cafe on the other hand is a different story ! What food we had was OK. Four of us went there so ordered 2 full breakfasts, a vegi bap and a gluten free breakfast, well the gluten free one wanted scrambled egg with it as she doesnt like fried egg, got told thats not possible as all food is cooked to order, so asked why its not possible in that case and got told it just isn't... then they didn't have the sausages for it so were going to give extra hash browns, after asking 3 members of staff for them and them still not turning up we couldn't be bothered. The rest of the breakfasts seemed OK until we were leaving and then realised the 2 full breakfasts should have had black pudding with them as well.. this was realised as we were leaving... So to be honest we won't be going back nope would I recommend the cafe there to anyone unless you just want a drink as they maybe able to get that correct !!

We then went to find the resturant which had been moved to an outbuilding and was a lot smaller than the On looking at the menu the variety was very poor and the children's menu was hot meals only. I went to the counter and asked if they did a cold choice such as a sandwiches ? Was told no they dont offer sandwhiches, so i asked if the could so a sandwich for me and thought I could share with my grandaughter( she did not want Pizza or chicken nuggets etc) told no they do panninis or ciabattas I find it really odd and a shame that the menu is so limited, especially for children. You would think a prawn marie ciabatta was something any decent cafe could produce, but no, this place failed dismally. The prawns looked like tiny Atlantic shrimps and the sauce was so thin it was like pink water that soaked into the bread and made it soggy. The americano coffees came with milk so cold it instantly made the coffee almost undrinkable. The cafe was moved recently to a new building at the furthest point from the entrance.
