Not impressed with Sunday roast. No crackling on pork hard burnt roasties and had run out of cauliflower cheese! Staff disinterested in feedback.

Visited the Albion for breakfast for the first time, unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing it included baked beans that were chilli flavoured, the sausage was a strange dry consistency. The mushroom was massive which was not needed. Then there was a hotel guest who felt it was ok to wander around the dining room in his pyjama bottoms and socks. My partner and I are not snobs we just felt this was totally unacceptable behaviour & behaviour the hotel staff let go. If it was dinner would this have been acceptable ? We complained to reception who updated this had not happened previously however they did not challenge the person. Unfortunately would not return based on our experience.

I booked this restaurant for my partners birthday. I read the reviews and thought it would be romantic to have a sea view while dining, this was acknowledged and we had a window seat. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us by the window, it was a bit breezy as its quite open, but luckily it was a very warm evening. For starters, my partner ordered the duck breast, while I opted for the cured salmon, both arrived nicely presented on the plate and tasted delicious. For mains I ordered the Miso Cauliflower Steak and my partner opted for the Cod Loin, both were delicious too. We were full so we didn't opt for a dessert, the one thing I was disappointed about was the fact that I did make it clear on the booking that it was my partners birthday that day, and a gentleman confirmed my name and booking when we sat down, but there was no small gesture for my partners birthday, even just wishing him happy birthday would of been nice. Overall we had a good experience, and spent just an hour for starters and mains, if I could suggest any improvements, then it would be to make the ambience a bit more appealing and a small gesture to anyone celebrating a special day. We will be back at some point to try the Sunday Roast as it has great reviews.

Table for 2. Beautiful ambience and area. However, over priced, Sunday roast lists boasting of meat, roast potatoes, Yorkshire and all the trimmings - you get very small slice of meat and two anaemic “roast” potatoes and one carrot. We also ordered bread and olives for snacks to start- to be brought out 6 olives and while eating our main, a table of two next to us who had also ordered olives were presented with a larger portion. Not consistent. They add a Service charge to bills. On a positive, they accommodated a table To suit having a pram. I probably won’t return, just for the price, lack of taste, service and food quality.

Mixed feelings on this restaurant. Fantastic dining room. Food also quite good. But some issues they need to sort out: 1. No kids menu, and lack of diversity for kids 2. Salmon is smoked, this is something that need to be mentioned clearly in the menu or flagged to clients 3. Service was very slow 4. Maybe another 2/3 options in the menu would be welcome

Leo looked after us and our Cockerpoo cross Oscar, very well. Service was very friendly. We went twice in two days. The first night for dinner. The chicken escalop was perfect. Moist and beautifully crisp with a light curry sauce and skin on chips. Wine choice by the glass very good. The second night we just went for cocktails but dipped into the menu again with a light snack of thick cut smoked salmon dill creme fraiche and sourdough. This is a truly dog friendly venue. Oscar is a well behaved dog and he was warmly welcomed. Very impressed.

Felt like the left overs of the lunch period. Tiny portion of cabbage and one carrot Disappointing as previous roasts have been good. Serving roast all afternoon to early evening should mean there is still freshly cooked food and choice still available.

Have thoroughly enjoyed previous meals at Albion House but this time the food choices and pricing were disappointing. This is because I chose the vegetarian main - a roasted aubergine wth a chimichurri sauce with some crispy chickpeas (but no other accompaniment) was priced at £17.50, my husband had the bookmakers toast -lots of sliced beef plus an egg on toast with garnish AND included fries - was priced at £15.50. His dish, though cheaper, had way more substance than mine. Even my mother's blue cheese and walnut 'salad' included bacon, egg and toast (priced at £9.50) looked more substantial than mine. My sister, also vegetarian, chose the pumpkin soup as she doesn't like aubergine and so added a side of fries to complete her meal (total £14). I would say my meal, by comparison, was very poor value for money so, although it tasted nice, I couldn't enjoy it as I felt ripped-off.

The service let the restaurant down unfortunately. Dirty glass on table and flowers looked half dead. A couple people ordered starters and the cutlery was not replaced when the main came out had to wait quite a while for replacement cutlery . This meant the main meal then became cold . Issue with clock room and had to request our coats. We were left to help our selves to our coats which meant we had access to other peoples coats . The lady who served the cocktails was excellent .Unfortunately the main waitress who was attending to our party lacked training and attention to detail. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. I would possibly go again but the main issue is the service.

I arranged to meet a friend who I hadn't seen for two years at the Dining rooms, for his birthday this day - my treat. I'd seen the menu online, and knew from past visits, that they also had a bar food menu with steak burgers which I loved, so I was excited to go. I knew if the menu didn't suit, we would both find something we liked to eat on the bar menu. Arriving, the menu wasn't the one I'd viewed on their website when considering my booking (and still isn't as I write this). It didn't float my boat, so I asked for the bar food menu, only to be told that it ended some months ago. I was gutted as their steak burgers were divine. I hope they rectify this error and keep their menu on-line updated. It was my friend's birthday, so I put on a brave face as I didn't really want to take him to Spoonies down the road. Reviewing the menu again, the only dish that looked my sort of food was the beef. I am a bit particular about my food elements. Neither truffle or mash do it for me. I asked for fries instead. When my friend ordered the same I breathed a sigh of relief that he managed to find a dish he liked to try too. When he asked for no veggies. I was in heaven and copied him removing them off my order too. I also have a sulphite allergy so the red wine jus was a risk I took. Thankfully, I asked the server to put it in a separate dish, which was good because after two dips I sadly had to stop imbibing. Although this doesn't sound good so far, we were both singing the praises of the chef as we dipped into the wonderfully cooked plates. The beef was tender, exquisitely cooked and flavoured. The red wine jus was heavenly, I only wish I could have eaten more. My friend cleaned his plate and we both agreed - absolutely scrummy. We had forgone the starters as nothing appealed. I decided I had room for a dessert and choose the classic, a chocolate brownie, with caramel and vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, My friend? The fruit crumble with ice cream. Both were amazing and precisely as required to end a good meal. Crockery-wise not so good. The crumble was served in a bowl full to the limit and while it is great to have a decent amount of food, with the ice cream sat on the top higher than the rim of the bowl, there was very little room to move the food about in the bowl. Conversely, my bowl was so wide, that every time I put my spoon down, resting it on the side of the bowl, it slid down into the chocolate sauce. It was funny licking it off initally, but became annoying after the sixth lick. Either a spoon rest, a flat plate under the bowl, or a simple flat plate for the dessert would have been better. I was also disappointed not to be able to have my favourite Mojito cocktail due to the lack of mint on the premises. Finally, the seating. Some of the chairs looked nice and comfortable in the room, our's were not. I can only assume the staff, like the crockery issue, don't actually sit down and try their own wares. I can understand sitting on a wooden chair for a short while, but for two hours? Both of us are relatively short in height. My feet just reached the ground but had to contend with the wooden ridge at the front of the chair. This dug into the back of my thighs. My friend said his wasn't much better even including the "church biscuit" cushion on his chair. I snaffled two lovely unused comfy cushions off the sofas nearby. Staff need to review their wooden chair cushions and maybe invest in some that reach the edges of the chairs. Overall, the experience was interesting and the food of a high quality cooked to perfection. The staff remained polite and attentive and the elegant environment was beautiful - as usual. Of course I'll return, sooner if the steak burgers go back on the menu and the chairs get a new life with better cushions.

I stayed at the Albion recently and as I love hotel breakfasts I had to mention that this one is one of the better one I have experienced in the UK! Like everything, going out to eat is becoming more expensive so that's my only 'criticism' but it's not even a 'criticism' just an observation. it just means i see The Albion as more of a treat place as opposed to somewhere to eat regular. Atmosphere is lovely although lighting a little bright as the sun went down.

Brilliant service, with a lovely ambience. A great place to sit and have dinner. Me and my girlfriend had a great experience here, and the team made me my favourite cocktail (not on the menu) which made my night completely. Well done chefs, amazing food. Starters, mains and dessert, all outstanding. Thank you.

Another great meal at The Dining Rooms, my favourite restaurant in Ramsgate! The Burrata was a perfect starter and five of us enjoyed the tender chicken supreme accompanied by new potatoes. My sister said the steak was cooked to perfection. The aviation cocktail had a delicate violet flavour and the English Rose didn’t disappoint. Service was friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. Thank you.

A really delicious meal with my mum and sister. We all had the chicken which was so tender and nice variety of vegetables. Generous portion of minted new potatoes. Accompanied by the best Rose wine Chapel Down we’ve ever had! Thank you.

From the first time we went into The Albion House Hotel to discuss having our wedding celebration there the staff were excellent and very happy to accommodate our wishes. They helped us plan our special day from the menu to the table decoration. Our friends and family had a brilliant time in the lovely dining room with its views over the sea and Ramsgate Harbour. The staff were fantastic during the planning and preparation of the menu and the food was outstanding. After our meal the tables were cleared and we had a party which everyone enjoyed especially after the music and cocktails kicked in! Thank you to all at The Albion House Hotel for making our special day so memorable. We are planning to spend our first anniversary there.

Such a good vibe, absolutely loved the dj it created a great ambience. Food was absolutely delicious they made me the roast but just with vegetables I was told they would add the vegetables crumble from another dish, but the chef forgot that’s my only negative feedback from the entire experience. The hostess and all of the staff were very kind and attentive. Thanks for such a great experience.
