Akash Indian Cuisine in Cheshire East

We’ve not used Akash in a while but have previously enjoyed their food. Ordered at 7.18pm via their website which said food would be with us in 90 mins. This came and went so my wife called up to enquire and was told it was enroute. Called back 20 mins later to be told it had not even left the kitchen!! I asked the manager to cancel our order as really did not want to eat after 10pm at night. Now waiting to see if the manager refunds my credit card as promised. Very disappointed..!

Gutted to leave a one star rating. But order over 2 hours late. 25 phone calls with no answer and screen shots to prove. Order not complete. Delivery driver didnt care about how late the order was. She was more concerned about herself and the fact she has 2 more hours to work. You have always been our go to indian restaurant. Tonight had been our last order with you. We will now look for a new restaurant.

Do not order from here order took 3 hours to arrive after calling and arrived incomplete and curry lids open to which they didnt seem bothered or try to sort out. Will definatley not order ever again

Esta solía ser la mejor casa de curry por millas, pero hemos pedido dos veces recientemente (la segunda vez en la esperanza el primer desastre fue una), y la comida era terrible. Y sinceramente estoy tan triste! ! ! Un curry de Akash siempre me recogió cuando necesitaba una sonrisa en mi cara. El korma ha convertido a amarillo brillante, grueso, enfermizo dulce cuando era justo antes de perfecto. ¿Qué ha hecho chicos? ? ? Y las patatas fritas - son ahora tan grandes y gruesas se obtiene prácticamente una media docena de una bolsa. Estoy muy triste, por favor trae la increíble comida de calidad que una vez producidos.

Chicken was a touch dry but ok

We've ordered from the Akash for years. This is the first meal we've had since they've been based at the Bombay. Truly awful!! I've never reviewed before but felt compelled to the minute I threw my fork down in disgust. Firstly the Butter chicken tasted and looked just like a Korma and the second dish we'd ordered had no resemblance. It arrived containing egg and shrimps both of which I'm allergic to and obviously would never order. The whole meal even down to the poppadoms lacked flavour and the 'Hot' curry contained no heat. Chips were the best bit but arrived luke warm at best. So disappointed and with regret we shan't be ordering again. £35 for a sub standard curry for three is not a mistake we'll make twice. Avoid!!!

I go to akash quite frequently for chicken korma. It is really nice, good food at a good price! Currently orders are collected from Bombay restaurant which is only round the corner.

Really disappointed, always had good curries but haven't been for a while and both of our curries were not good at all - both rice were cold, my chicken didn't taste right and both the dhansak and balti were just tasteless and luke warm - I'm afraid that's our last curry there :😭

Food came over the estimated waiting time. Food was nice. Cheese nan bread wasn't very cheesy could barely find any cheese. Chicken korma was lovely

delivery time did go over but for the food quality I can't complain it was the best food I've had in an extremely long time! will defiantly come back again

Food took 75 minutes to arrive and when it came was just warm not hot. The Mushroom Bhuna and Chicken Rogan Josh were very mild and pretty tasteless. Rice and Nan Bread OK. Overall very disapppointed.

no communication, late delivery. Ended up returning cold food and after being told to contact Just Eat for a refund they are now refusing any recompense for inconvenience

What a fantastic place to get a take away from. Was ordered and delivered in under 40 minutes which is great for us. Cheap delivery which is even bettwr we had Chicken Tikka Masala, mediun heat and to be honest probably one of the best I had in such a long long time. Mushroom rice great chips ok and a cheesy naan finished it off....cracking value great food...well be back.

Horrible orderd specil curry and the egg that comes in it was rotten jet black inside and stunk my house out poor quality all microved curry non of our 30 pound order was good avoid this place non of the currys were fresh!!!!!

The food took an hour and a half to be delivered to which when it came I had to reheat it as cold, which it then didn't taste nice. I'm really disappointed as eaten from these before and not had a problem. I just wish I hadn't paid by card as I would not have paid for the meal at all. Very disappointed.

Poor delivery service 35mins later than text message, good food though. Would be better customer service if they contact you if orders are going to be late.

We orders on just eat at 8pm and were given s delivery time of 8.40 .the delivery driver called at 8.20 to say he would be 10 minutes .at 9.10 still no delivery so we called and was told 10 minutes , still no delivery so we called yet again and was told 10 minutes .when the driver arrived at 9.40!!!! He said "don't blame the messenger " as if he didn't he work for them , who else where we supposed to blame ? , he even had the cheek to say he wouldn't tell them we were unhappy and "it's best you call them as it will have more impact " he also told us the food was hot , a lie !! It wasn't it had obviously been in his car ages , it was terrible , under cooked chips etc , I called the takeaway twice and was told the manager would call me to discuss a refund , guess what ? No call and then they wouldn't answer my calls .i hope they lose more than the £20 I spent now on lost orders ! Terrible place , awful customer experience ! All they had to do was refund me so now I've posted my experience on numerous sites so well done akash !!!

We ordered online and was told would be delivered within the hour, 75 mins later I telephoned to ask where the food was... To be told it was on the way. It arrived 10 mins later, despite being less than 2 miles away 2 mains, 2 rice, 1 side and 2 nan breads £30 so not cheap My special balti was so full of potato there was hardly any room for the chicken and lamb, but no prawns.....very very salty The other main was also very salty. 2 rices were average at best My keema nan was burnt to a crisp, not caramelised,not charred, burnt....with very little keema inside...the other paneer nan was raw ...go figure... The Free starter was awful, dried up and crispy, with a deep fried potato... And to top it all off, having waited so long, guess what, it was cold....... This was by far the worst meal I've eaten in years....and definitely the worst Indian food I've ever eaten...

Worst take away I have ever had. I have had a take away from here before and it was good but I have just received a terrible meal we have chicken Rogan josh and Bombay potato the chicken is obviously old and without flavor and the potato is very old, the whole meal is now in the bin because it tastes like it was made days ago without any spices. Do not use this take away.

Placed the order at 17.40, it's now 19.08 still no food. I did ring at 18.45 and was told that my food had left the shop and would be 10 minutes (I'm a 5 min drive away). They also charge £1.00 for delivery. Don't order Chicken Jalfrezi or Chicken Tika Massala tonight.

Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The only thing that let it down was the 1hr 25mins deliver time

I ordered a prawn bhuna takeaway yesterday which arrived without the addition of any spices whatsoever. The sauce consisted of watery tomatoes and a bit of water leakage from the mushrooms and onions to the consistency of tap water. The dish was totally devoid of flavour. In fact the tastiest part of it was the rice. A few spices had been sprinkled on top presumably as some sort of token gesture. This ranks as easily the most insipid indian meal I've ever ordered. Sorry Akash but this goes down in my book as a diddle.

All of our dishes were freshly made (we ordered and waited to collect) the dishes are very generously portioned, they have a proper tandoor So the naans are delicious and correctly made, the range of dishes and specials is great. The cost was really good value and all our dishes were delicious! Will definitely use again and recommend. The staff were very friendly too

Thefood was great and the customer service was fantastic. The only thing that let them down was their delivary driver. He told the restaurant he was outside but when I went outside he was actually at a totally different house on the wrong side of the estate. I would order from them again and hopefully the delivery time would be shorter

Good food fast delivery all you need

Food hadn't arrived after over an hour so rang up and was told it was on its way. Half an hour it turned up, taking 1hr 30minutes in total after being told it'd be 45 minutes and there wasn't so much as an apology! Plus the food was too salty and only lukewarm when it arrived...

Was very disappointed with meal. It was cold. The tikka masala was awful. The only good thing was the sagwala and mushroom rice

The currys were swimming in grease we tried to call up on several occasions but the phone was engaged in the end we gave up.

Will not be ordering from here again. half the food did not get eaten as it was almost tasteless and only lukewarm on arrival. delivery was late. very poor service.

The only downfall that we had was that the food took an hour and a half to be delivered. But other than that, everything was spot on!

I placed my order to be delivered at 8pm but it was delivered before 7 pm. Unfortunatley that means that some of it needs to be microwaved later.

The best curry house in Cheshire!! Food arrived early and was piping hot, very large portions, and VERY tasty, would HIGHLY recommend, also very reasonably priced. 😀😀😀😀

Everything was lovely as usual and the chef is very kind. The curry is very nice because it has lots of flavour. I recommend this to everyone and the quality of the food is excellent. Would go again!

My husband and I love the Akash, but for some reason my husband,s chicken pilli pilli last night was HOT instead of medium and I didn't click hot on line, so he couldn't eat his meal😢However, the Akash is usually brill and I love my patanga and happy that they deliver to us out here and their food is usually five star😀😀😀😀😀

Overall food was good but if you order chips expect mcains crinkle cut, at £2 a pop I could have purchased a bag for that price.

The food is brilliant but the delivery driver in a red car that has been delivering recently is so rude and unfriendly. It's such a shame aso the drivers before have always been so friendly. Food is excellent.

I waited three hours for my food to be delivered considering I chose it to be with me Asap. My mother told me to ring the place to see what was taking so long. The delivery driver finally turned up after 8 phone calls and a long wait saying that he was trying to contact me and saying that my phone was engaged which it wasn't. Disappointed really as I've been going here with my family since I was 11. Food was absolutely lovely though :)

Lovely food, ordered a phall and the heat was there, very pleased. Delivery time could be better but the food was piping hot when it arrived.

the order took 2 hrs to come rang up 1 hr and they wouldnt order again from here took 2 hrs to come there reason was they were waiting for the driver. as a result the food that was delivered was disgusting etc burnt onion bajas chips inedible on so on. it would seem to me that the food had been stuck in the shop for a good hour waiting for someone to deliver it. very disappointed

It took 2 hours to be delivered when I live a few streets away and when it got here It was stone cold I had to heat it up. Disgusting.

Food was great no complaints, however no free starter as advertised on the menu (spend £15+) also you expect some free poppadums when you spend £50.

The meal itself was very good and to a very high standard, but my only disappointment was the naan breads that was meant to have cheese on them needed to have more on as we could not taste or see that there was any on there.

Food was hot and arrived on time :), tasted really good and great value for money.

I order same time as my sister and stated on both orders we had to separate orders and wanted together and it never came, mine come 40 mins after my sisters when rang they said would be 10 mins and was half hour

Waited over 2 hrs normally the food is good so we didn't mind too much but one naan bread came with raw dough and the samosas were stretchy and seemed under cooked! Not at all impressed!!!!!!

Food delicious, real shame it took one hour 40 minutes to arrive. Was given different rice dish to that ordered, but it complimented the chicken dish very well so no great shakes.

The food is very greassy fish curry the fish been frozen and defrosted too many time.,i made have diarrohea ..really a big let down bussines should close down. . Wouldnt order again ..sorry
