appalling service, rude management and staff. incompetent serving, was told it was an hours wait for food when other tables after our group received theirs in 10 minutes. Management of cafe refusing to work, simply stood next to the till. Museum was ok but would not recommend to anyone at any point

As the title suggests, I was more than happy with my cappuccino.Especially with the chocolate topping in the shape of Concorde. My scone was another thing altogether. Not wanting a huge amount for my meal, I thought a scone would be an ideal choice. How wrong I was. The scone was so dry that no amount of cream or jam could have breathed any life into it. The staff were friendly if overworked.

The museum was brilliant and the Concorde was truly a sight to behold, however the cafe was extremely disappointing 1) The juice boxes were barely the size of my thumb and definitely was not enough to hydrate a thirsty child 2) the staff were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome, some openly glared at us while we ate 3) one blonde female staff member grabbed a slice of cake with her bare unwashed hand while serving another customer Overall, great museum but bring your own food

Popped in for a snack, £1.60 for a Kit Kat and £2.35 for three small Welsh Cakes is too much, the service was friendly and the staff replaced my coffee which had escaped through the base of the paper cup.

Came here and had lunch one weekday lunch time. We was the only ones In there, so service as well as the time food came out to us was super quick. We ordered the chicken burger meal, portions were really generous more than expected. We could of easily shared a meal 😂 good price for what came out. Staff were friendly and checked our food was ok and we was happy. Good on covid safety. Signs on tables to show you what's been cleaned and safe to sit it. Highly recommend

Had a lovely first visit here today. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Excellent coffee and a great Victoria Sponge over a catch up with a friend. The thing that really made this a five out of five though was the young girl who served our table. She was very friendly and offered just the right amount of attention. Thank you Esme for some great service. It was nice to meet you!

Having thoroughly enjoyed our Concorde experience, we were about to set off on the next leg of our journey and fancied a sandwich and coffee before we left. It was a quiet Friday afternoon when we visited and the girl behind the counter was super efficient and great fun! She made us both awesome cappuccino's with a chocolate Concorde on top... and proceeded to tell us just how many people thought it was a Christmas tree. Super friendly and an exceptional ambassador for the place - and our reasonably priced sandwiches and cake as well as the Christmas-tree-cappuccino's were brilliant. Highly recommended!

Visited Filton Museum and café today with some family members and the experience was simply joyous. It was easy, effective and served as a fitting end to our museum trip. The café was clean, it was very well-staffed, there was excellent choice and quality of food and the prices were fair. Service was quick, food was spot on, nothing to fault there at all. Most pleasingly was the way in which every member of staff was constantly involved in the running and cleaning of the café/tables etc. Each of them clearly took pride in working there and wanted to ensure that customers had the best possible experience. We enjoyed our visit immensely and left very well fed. An added bonus was the presence of Karolina (?) one of the managers (?) who was so, so friendly, enthused and simply stunning. A wonderful smile, beautiful eyes and someone I would gladly buy a drink for next time I visit. Thank you to everyone at the café and museum for a highly enjoyable and memorable visit.

There are, arguably, two reasons to visit Downend. One is on a summer’s afternoon to watch Downend CC play cricket with the bar in full swing and plenty of boundaries being scored as the ground is relatively small; the other is to pay a visit to Melanie’s Kitchen. This delicatessen shop is a positive cornucopia of cheeses, bakery items, biscuits, chutneys, artisan breads etc etc. The man who serves at the cheese counter (who I assume is not Melanie!) is a fountain of knowledge on local cheeses and knows all of the local cheese producers, when their cheeses are at their best and is happy to provide advice to ensure that you will leave well satisfied having enjoyed a sensory and culinary experience second to none. It’s full marks from me.
