The quality of the food wasn’t all that what I expected. I don’t want to go into detail but they definitely need to stop making people smile when they come in and prepare the food which I used to like.

I ordered the Chicken Tawa and omg, it was delicious. I had garlic Naan Bread, Pulao Rice and a glass of cold Pepsi. The Chicken Tawa had a nice spicy kick to it that left my tongue to hurt, but the pepsi and naan bread helped soothe it. The staff were polite and friendly, checking on me, asking how my food is and suggested that I can have some yoghurt to help with the spice if I need it. It wasn't very busy when I went, but I would definitely go again when I next visit Nottingham again! Best Indian restaurant I've ever been too! Totally recommend it!🤩☺️

I ordered from here with uber eats and added that I have a nut allergy. The restaurant rang me about this order and confirmed my allergies and talked me through the ingredients and checked that I can have certain ingredients. I then went to pick it up and the person who handed over the order confirmed to me that it was him I spoke to and again checked everything with me in relation to my allergy. They also wrote on the box of one of the curries (my boyfriend's) that this did have nuts in (he'd already confirmed that we were okay to have this in my order) which I thought was good to ensure no mix ups were made! The level they went to to make sure that everything was allergen safe was brilliant and I have never had this experience from ordering food online before. I will definitely be ordering from them again they put me at ease! The food was really tasty and also hot when we got back! Lovely!

Please bring back your Groupon deal for 2. At the moment you only have the option for 6 people, myself and my friend come to you regularly but haven't been able to as the offer isn't there. Hopefully we'll see you soon 😁

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and can honestly say the food and service was amazing. However I recommended this restaurant to friends and family so visit again recently and was so disappointed the food standard dropped staff standing around watching you eat and the environment needs a good clean the carpets going to the toilet area were filthy the glass on the stairwell was filthy the downstairs smell was awful a scruffy smell to it I just couldn’t believe how the standards had dropped we will not be visiting again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

The service was the worst. We ordered chicken biriyani and chilli chicken. The chilli chicken was more like bbq sauce dipped chicken and undercooked. When we said it’s not good it’s sweet and not chilli the waiter was like “that’s how it is “ we didn’t even touch the chilli chicken after tasing one piece and they didn’t even offer to take it off our bill. I said it was undercooked the waiter didn’t even bother. Really bad service. Never coming again.

Hands down amongst the top 3 Indian restaurants in Nottingham - totally unpretentious, genuine friendly staff, and authentic Indian food which tastes like it has a Punjabi influence - don’t hesitate to pay them a visit, you won’t regret it. It was the first time I visited as someone told me it was a great place and they didn't disappoint. The meal was absolutely delicious without overdoing the salt, great atmosphere and the staff had genuine smiles with great service. I'm definitely returning.

Went here for valentines and the atmosphere was ok, however, despite there being alot of staff hanging around, it took nearly 45 minutes to get a starter and this was only because they came over to see if we wanted another drink. The food was servicable but the lamb was very overcooked and not tender and chicken was a little dry. They had set meals and for 2 it came to £85 + tip (which they automatically applied and did not deserve). Took about 2 hours to have a starter and main and it wasn't overly busy. Would not recommend and will not be going again

I visited my daughter studying at Uni in Nottingham. We decided to do a Groupon deal and this restaurant came up. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The venue aesthetically pleasing and the food was lovely. We had a selection of starters , mains and even deserts. All the food was really tasty and very filling. I would definitely come back here and highly recommend this restaurant. Prince was lovely. Thank you for a great experience

El lugar era estéticamente agradable y la comida era preciosa. Tuvimos una selección de entrantes, red e incluso desiertos. Toda la comida era muy sabrosa y muy llena. Sin duda volvería aquí y recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante. Prince era encantador. Gracias por una gran experiencia.

The food was lovely, however I've never really known a Rogan josh to give my tabs so much of a dance...warning to all.....but overall, I visited this lovely place 3 times and the first 2 I thought it was amazing food and service etc. however this last visit, the food seems to be very different, I booked the table for valentine's and didn't realise it was a set menu, and the rice wasn't the best, the curry overly spicy for medium....the service was brilliant, however the price of the visit, considering we have young children and do not get to go out often at all, seemed to be 4 times the cost of my previous visits....I also noticed the menu had changed when I checked online as I was intending on eating from the standard menu and was quite shocked I wasn't told it was a set venue for valentine's, however lovely I found it all in all to be very over priced and it was a a bit off putting to see food go out in take out boxes left right and centre when it was as pricey of a dinner as what it was I expected more of a special evening and experience with my husband TBF, not feeling like I was sat in an everyday place it gives more of a sophisticated expression from the actual experience had. But the staff were lovely and did work hard so maybe the price and take out and staff being very busy with that made it feel a bit like eating in a station type experience that night.

Good food, terrible service. Had to hail a server 3-4 times 45 minutes after being seated to order food to drinks. Main took 2 hours to arrive despite many requests for the main, at which point frustration had peaked so we requested it to go. Would be great with more attentive servers.

Horrible experience, walked out after almost an hour after ordering our starters and mains since they didn't turn up. When we enquired about our order multiple times, the staff said they'd check but they would not get back to us. People who came in to dine after us were served while we were still waiting. Was really looking forward to tasting the food as it looked really good, but the wait was extremely long, and the lack of updates from the staff was disappointing even though they were quite attentive.

Delicious and authentic Indian food with rich flavors and perfect spice levels. The tandoori dishes were amazing, and the service was friendly and attentive. Finished with a delicious strawberry cheesecake—highly recommend!

10pm Saturday night before Xmas, almost empty, all other restaurants packed, we have been here many times, always great food and atmosphere, seams to have gone downhill, food was less than average, no atmosphere, sad really.

Went to this restaurant on Saturday .the service from the girl with long blond hair is terrible rude eyes rolling at customers .the food was OK but I've had better .needs to have a refurbishment as the place is old and things need doing .especially the ladies toilets were disgusting no toilet paper .broken hand dryer and the toilet brushes in the toilets are disgusting it smells of damp .the windows need a good clean as well .food was OK and the service was to say it was busy .but standards need to be higher

We’d not been to 4550 for many years since moving out of the city. It was always a favourite so we looked forward to returning. We visited on a Thursday night before Christmas when all of the nearby restaurants were very busy. 4550 was empty. We now know why. The service was great, but the staff outnumbered the customers. The food was very disappointing. Chilli Paneer starter: small pieces of paneer in an unnecessarily fierce sauce. Chicken tikka Jalfrezi: mouth numbingly hot - why? Daal Makhani: couldn’t taste it - see Jalfrezi. We couldn’t eat it and politely bagged it up for consumption by the kitchen bin at home. Sad to see such an iconic Indian restaurant fall so far below the standards that it set for the competition that sprung up so readily around it.

I come here for business for 2 days in Nottingham and every night I come here for their lamb rogan and rice. I order the takeaway on just eat, so it’s ready by the time I get there. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing 10/10. The staff are very friendly and welcoming! The food is so delicious and their portion size is very good too. The only thing I wish was they had lower prices. Other than that, I can’t complain their quality is top notch.

My husband and I visited on Saturday night and have to say it was awful. The night was busy but we understand that being a weekend and was ok to wait a while. After 45 minutes there was still no sign of food. We asked if it would be much longer and decided to pay for the poppadoms we had and leave. The food then miraculously appeared. To say we were shocked was an understatement. The portions were tiny and the onion bhaji seemed undercooked. I guess it had been rushed because we asked where it was. Now compared to other Indian restaurants I wouldn't even give it one star. We will not be returning to this overpriced place, shame on you

Horrible horrible food and extremely overpriced and false marketing. We paid 20 pounds for a lamb biryani and milkshake just for it to be delivered as vegetable biryani and way too spicy. They also added yogurt next to their dish however when delivered there was no yogurt. Extremely extremely disappointed pls don’t waste ur money on this place.

We had order chilli paneer. We were delivered stale panner and the guy who spoke to us on call from the restaurant was very rude. They were not ready to accept the complain that the food was stinking and was stale.

Great food, a bit understaffed and very small food portions

Our 2nd visit to this place. Unfortunately me and my husband had bad experience. Zara could not do enough for us, she looked after us through the whole time we was there. Lovely smiles and apologetics! The Manager sorted us out in the end. Sorry to say we won't be back there again!

We ordered 2 chicken biriyani, and it came after 2 hours. And after having the food, we got food poisoning from the chicken biriyani. Very bad food and very bad experience.

I've been here before a few times, and today didn't disappoint at all. The tastes are absolutely exotic. Leaving lovely aromas in my mouth. I would recommend this to everyone that enjoys a tasty curry. Started off with poppadoms. Then had a vegetarian platter to share for 2. Mains, we had mushroom rice each. I had Chicken Tawa, (delicious). My wife who has a nut allergy, was made a special off the menu chicken dish adapted just for her. Prince, looked after us well. A great team.

Negative 5 stars is what i would have given if i had a choice. Don't get fooled by the name, this restaurant is 4550 culinary miles from Delhi. Worst indian food I have ever had anywhere across the globe. Change the name of the restaurant if you dont know what delhi food tastes like, such a disgrace and an insult to indian food. Very expensive, taxes are ridiculous. If you are thinking of going to this place trust me you would be better off eating elsewhere.

We went off-peak, so can't comment on the atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was great. The decor is a little tired, and it could do with a makeover. We took were stung with the service charge. There are nicer Indians restaurants neighbouring, so will try these in future.

Visited with a Groupon voucher. Food was ok (although our medium curries were more like mild), service was fine, but everything else was a bit grim. Hit by a drain smell as soon as you enter, which only gets worse as you go towards the bathrooms, the restaurant was dead, and generally looks as though it needs a renovation, or at least a good clean. There's plenty of great restaurants in Nottingham, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend spending your money in this one.

Had intended to go to a different Indian restaurant on Maid Marian way, but ended up in 4500 miles from Delhi almost by mistake. However, it was an excellent meal- 5 stars!

Visited for a Father’s Day weekend as my Father In Law had been told by his Grandson it was as his fav place. Good meal, nice menu options and excellent balance of heat and spice as we very different expectations on these for our dishes. Really liked to see the chefs at work so would recommend to sit at the back of the restaurant if this interested you. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Not inexpensive but probably on a par with the other restaurants on Maid Marion way. No, we weren’t on a Groupon!!

Personally a big fan of the food at 4550 although a few of my friends think it's a little too spicy. It can be a bit pricey compared to a other options nearby Food tastes fantastic, I particularly like the Chilli Paneer starter

One of the best curry houses in Nottingham. Great service, but most importantly good food.

The first thing that hit me as I walked through the door was the smell of drains, so maybe this would have been a good time to turn around. The whole place feels tired as though no one really cares, the menus were covered in greasy fingerprints, and the food was distinctly average and not exactly bursting with freshness. The staff were OK but could have been smarter. Prices are high for what they offer and they automatically add a 12.5% 'discretionary' service charge to the bill, presumably because they think they're worth it (they aren't). This was an expensive mistake and we left feeling very disappointing. I cannot recommend.

We had a Groupon as a present from my daughter, so visited this restaurant. The service was very good. My wife thought her starter was too salty, so they made her another one. The food was tasty and the spicing was perfect for my taste. Food was delivered efficiently to the table. A nice post-birthday treat.

Delivery driver didn’t bother to knock on the door or call to say he/she was outside. I got a notification on the app to say food had been delivered and went to the door to find the food bag had been left hung on the door handle outside. Will not be ordering from here again. Food itself was nice.

Booked as online said 25% discount for early bird bookings. When getting to the restaurant nothing advertised for this and had to ask for this. Restaurant smelt unclean like drains, carpets dirty and looked unclean. Food average, had better from better takeaways. Music repetitive that was playing. When receiving the bill, very disappointed as worked out to be just under £70, but paid £86.20, no discount and an added discretionary service payment of nearly a tenner!? What was that. For two starters, three mains, three rice, three drinks and three naans as a booking at 5pm very expensive and nearly £90!

Visited Nottingham July 2023 and found this restaurant by chance, we had an excellent meal, 10/10. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Went back April this year and they surpassed themselves, the food was excellent and a big shout out to Prince who served us, he went above and beyond, such a lovely waiter. Happy Eid.

Back on form again! 4550 miles to Delhi dipped in quality post Covid, it is great to see them back up to their previous quality again. I recommend 4550 to all my friends and family, particularly the Hariyali chicken - yummy

Would not recommend this place at all, certainly gone down hill!. Tikka Masala was brown and not red, place was dirty and we ended up with very bad stomachs at the end of the night! Can see now why they have the groupon offer to try and get people back in !

Very very good food, and great staff. We were served by Prince and Mubina and they were superb. We had the vegetarian banquet and the range of dishes was out of this world. Starters were huge and there were so many mains and sides we lost count!! Definitely recommended

Tonight we was looking were to go for an Indian- this place came to my mind. Very welcoming staff on arrival. Lovely and friendly. Shown us to our table and gave us a choice which was lovely to say how busy it was. Starters was incredible. Fresh and delicious. Mains was simply incredible. The Masala and rice was incredible- by far one of the best Indians we have been to. We have been to many Indians but this highly up there with the best. Not just the food- the service was incredible. We will 110% be back. Thank you for a lovely evening. Guys don’t be put off by the service charge these guys work incredibly hard!

Amazing place to have a nice dish, perfect atmosphere and professional service

So I ordered the food so we could have at home as we live 5 minutes from the restaurant. Email came back with order number. Went to collect it and was told that hey didn’t have an order and they don’t do take away anymore that’s the old owners. Well why haven’t you had the take away system removed so people can’t order why haven’t you updated your webpage or at least put a note stating no take away food. Very disappointing as the old owners was second to none . Sadly left a bad taste .

Went here from a groupon, will definitely be back, food was delicious and the server Prince was so nice, very attentive and made sure we enjoyed everything, even though we used a groupon I read the menu and the prices are extremely reasonable we will definitely return, we had tandoori mushrooms and chicken pakora to start and butter chicken and jalfrezi for main, so yummy! The food was good but the service was a bit of a shambles. The staff were friendly enough but 3 out of 4 of our drinks order was wrong. They took away drinks that weren't finished yet. We asked for no coriander on a dish and it had to be remade when it came out with it on, The even guy tried to say it wasn't coriander so we had to prove it. The music was waaay too loud for a restaurant too. Shame really

Oh dear, used to be such a great place but they had a singer in on a guitar playing so loudly it was impossible to hold a conversation. We asked if they could turn it down but they wouldn't. Ended up with large groups of people singing very loudly, like a cheap bar or bad wedding. We were forced to leave. We would never go back.

This has to be the worst curry we have ever eaten ever. We walked into a cold restaurant with chart music pumping out, the service was very slow, I ordered the samosa starter it was rock hard the pastry was inedible. The main what a disaster how can an Indian restaurant get a curry wrong it was a dark brown colour chicken Rogan josh usually red with garlic on the top, it was disgusting my partners was worse butter chicken tough nasty chicken, the narn bread arrived after the meal we left it all. I told the manager it was the worst curry I have ever eaten he was not interested he said he would sort us out if we came back, I wouldn't go back if it was free. There are three Indian restaurants all in a row we walked past them on our way out all of them full all looked amazing, well you can see why this restaurant in is empty and the few people in there are eating from Groupon discounts they are flooding Groupon obviously no one is eating there as the food is so bad, seriously do not waste your money.

This place was a culinary delight! The butter chicken is rich and creamy, bursting with flavor, while the lamb curry is tender and aromatic. Each bite takes you on a journey of exquisite spices and textures. A must-visit for authentic Indian cuisine enthusiasts! Downsides: the staff was slow and unavailable most of the time even though the restaurant was mostly empty.

Food was tasty and worth the money Dhal was just like homemade Mix grill, with chicken peices, lamb chops, lamb sheek kebabs, which was plenty for 2 people. Portions of all the food served was generous Service from the staff was exceptional and friendly My complaint would have their toilets, they were smelly and not very clean which was a shame as it reflected on the restaurant.

Absolutely beautiful meal, in a pleasant and clean restaurant. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and lovely. We had a window seat, watching the world go by which we liked. Food was delicious and generous portions. Excellent value for money and we were made to feel very welcome indeed.

Amazing food, just the right amount of spice without blowing your head off. Taste over pain. We were sat downstairs and were initially squeezed onto a small table. Thankfully, when we asked to be moved, they moved us onto a larger table. Quick service and reasonably priced. About £35 a person. Not including starters

This was one of the best indians I have had, at first it does look as if someone in a wheelchair would not be able too get inn but just ask the staff and they will open the side door, this is well worth the trip

Food was decent and the service was really good, however it was incredibly expensive for what it is. Regular lamb curry was £16.50 and we paid nearly £20 for 6 lamb chops! Maybe that’s just standard in Nottingham

6 small cubes of Paneer in a portion of Chilli Paneer for £7 is ridiculous. Won't be ordering food from here again.

Lovely food, one of the best I've been to, but haven't been to any if the other high end Indians along this stretch of road. Inside is showing its age a little but I would thoroughly recommend it.
