Overpriced and a "DISCTRETIONARY SERVICE CHARGE OF 12.5%" Never going back there there's alot around them that don't rip you off!!@

We ordered 2 chicken biriyani, and it came after 2 hours. And after having the food, we got food poisoning from the chicken biriyani. Very bad food and very bad experience.

Worst staff I have ever seen. Rude customer service. Bad atmosphere.

I've been here before a few times, and today didn't disappoint at all. The tastes are absolutely exotic. Leaving lovely aromas in my mouth. I would recommend this to everyone that enjoys a tasty curry. Started off with poppadoms. Then had a vegetarian platter to share for 2. Mains, we had mushroom rice each. I had Chicken Tawa, (delicious). My wife who has a nut allergy, was made a special off the menu chicken dish adapted just for her. Prince, looked after us well. A great team.

just loved eating here, great experience, even design your own curry, staff and management right on their game, pleasure to eat there, don't take my word try it you wont be disappointed

Negative 5 stars is what i would have given if i had a choice. Don't get fooled by the name, this restaurant is 4550 culinary miles from Delhi. Worst indian food I have ever had anywhere across the globe. Change the name of the restaurant if you dont know what delhi food tastes like, such a disgrace and an insult to indian food. Very expensive, taxes are ridiculous. If you are thinking of going to this place trust me you would be better off eating elsewhere.

We went off-peak, so can't comment on the atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was great. The decor is a little tired, and it could do with a makeover. We took were stung with the service charge. There are nicer Indians restaurants neighbouring, so will try these in future.

Visited with a Groupon voucher. Food was ok (although our medium curries were more like mild), service was fine, but everything else was a bit grim. Hit by a drain smell as soon as you enter, which only gets worse as you go towards the bathrooms, the restaurant was dead, and generally looks as though it needs a renovation, or at least a good clean. There's plenty of great restaurants in Nottingham, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend spending your money in this one.

Absolutely fantastic curry amazing service from Prince,mubina, and trisha atmosphere was fantastic. Ten 10/10 menu was outstanding, and rest rooms were very clean .

Had intended to go to a different Indian restaurant on Maid Marian way, but ended up in 4500 miles from Delhi almost by mistake. However, it was an excellent meal- 5 stars!

Visited for a Father’s Day weekend as my Father In Law had been told by his Grandson it was as his fav place. Good meal, nice menu options and excellent balance of heat and spice as we very different expectations on these for our dishes. Really liked to see the chefs at work so would recommend to sit at the back of the restaurant if this interested you. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Not inexpensive but probably on a par with the other restaurants on Maid Marion way. No, we weren’t on a Groupon!!

Personally a big fan of the food at 4550 although a few of my friends think it's a little too spicy. It can be a bit pricey compared to a other options nearby Food tastes fantastic, I particularly like the Chilli Paneer starter

We had a Groupon as a present from my daughter, so visited this restaurant. The service was very good. My wife thought her starter was too salty, so they made her another one. The food was tasty and the spicing was perfect for my taste. Food was delivered efficiently to the table. A nice post-birthday treat.

The first thing that hit me as I walked through the door was the smell of drains, so maybe this would have been a good time to turn around. The whole place feels tired as though no one really cares, the menus were covered in greasy fingerprints, and the food was distinctly average and not exactly bursting with freshness. The staff were OK but could have been smarter. Prices are high for what they offer and they automatically add a 12.5% 'discretionary' service charge to the bill, presumably because they think they're worth it (they aren't). This was an expensive mistake and we left feeling very disappointing. I cannot recommend.

Delivery driver didn’t bother to knock on the door or call to say he/she was outside. I got a notification on the app to say food had been delivered and went to the door to find the food bag had been left hung on the door handle outside. Will not be ordering from here again. Food itself was nice.

Booked as online said 25% discount for early bird bookings. When getting to the restaurant nothing advertised for this and had to ask for this. Restaurant smelt unclean like drains, carpets dirty and looked unclean. Food average, had better from better takeaways. Music repetitive that was playing. When receiving the bill, very disappointed as worked out to be just under £70, but paid £86.20, no discount and an added discretionary service payment of nearly a tenner!? What was that. For two starters, three mains, three rice, three drinks and three naans as a booking at 5pm very expensive and nearly £90!

Visited Nottingham July 2023 and found this restaurant by chance, we had an excellent meal, 10/10. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Went back April this year and they surpassed themselves, the food was excellent and a big shout out to Prince who served us, he went above and beyond, such a lovely waiter. Happy Eid.

Back on form again! 4550 miles to Delhi dipped in quality post Covid, it is great to see them back up to their previous quality again. I recommend 4550 to all my friends and family, particularly the Hariyali chicken - yummy

Would not recommend this place at all, certainly gone down hill!. Tikka Masala was brown and not red, place was dirty and we ended up with very bad stomachs at the end of the night! Can see now why they have the groupon offer to try and get people back in !

Very very good food, and great staff. We were served by Prince and Mubina and they were superb. We had the vegetarian banquet and the range of dishes was out of this world. Starters were huge and there were so many mains and sides we lost count!! Definitely recommended

Tonight we was looking were to go for an Indian- this place came to my mind. Very welcoming staff on arrival. Lovely and friendly. Shown us to our table and gave us a choice which was lovely to say how busy it was. Starters was incredible. Fresh and delicious. Mains was simply incredible. The Masala and rice was incredible- by far one of the best Indians we have been to. We have been to many Indians but this highly up there with the best. Not just the food- the service was incredible. We will 110% be back. Thank you for a lovely evening. Guys don’t be put off by the service charge these guys work incredibly hard!

Amazing place to have a nice dish, perfect atmosphere and professional service

So I ordered the food so we could have at home as we live 5 minutes from the restaurant. Email came back with order number. Went to collect it and was told that hey didn’t have an order and they don’t do take away anymore that’s the old owners. Well why haven’t you had the take away system removed so people can’t order why haven’t you updated your webpage or at least put a note stating no take away food. Very disappointing as the old owners was second to none . Sadly left a bad taste .

Went here from a groupon, will definitely be back, food was delicious and the server Prince was so nice, very attentive and made sure we enjoyed everything, even though we used a groupon I read the menu and the prices are extremely reasonable we will definitely return, we had tandoori mushrooms and chicken pakora to start and butter chicken and jalfrezi for main, so yummy! The food was good but the service was a bit of a shambles. The staff were friendly enough but 3 out of 4 of our drinks order was wrong. They took away drinks that weren't finished yet. We asked for no coriander on a dish and it had to be remade when it came out with it on, The even guy tried to say it wasn't coriander so we had to prove it. The music was waaay too loud for a restaurant too. Shame really

Oh dear, used to be such a great place but they had a singer in on a guitar playing so loudly it was impossible to hold a conversation. We asked if they could turn it down but they wouldn't. Ended up with large groups of people singing very loudly, like a cheap bar or bad wedding. We were forced to leave. We would never go back.

This has to be the worst curry we have ever eaten ever. We walked into a cold restaurant with chart music pumping out, the service was very slow, I ordered the samosa starter it was rock hard the pastry was inedible. The main what a disaster how can an Indian restaurant get a curry wrong it was a dark brown colour chicken Rogan josh usually red with garlic on the top, it was disgusting my partners was worse butter chicken tough nasty chicken, the narn bread arrived after the meal we left it all. I told the manager it was the worst curry I have ever eaten he was not interested he said he would sort us out if we came back, I wouldn't go back if it was free. There are three Indian restaurants all in a row we walked past them on our way out all of them full all looked amazing, well you can see why this restaurant in is empty and the few people in there are eating from Groupon discounts they are flooding Groupon obviously no one is eating there as the food is so bad, seriously do not waste your money.

This place was a culinary delight! The butter chicken is rich and creamy, bursting with flavor, while the lamb curry is tender and aromatic. Each bite takes you on a journey of exquisite spices and textures. A must-visit for authentic Indian cuisine enthusiasts! Downsides: the staff was slow and unavailable most of the time even though the restaurant was mostly empty.

Food was tasty and worth the money Dhal was just like homemade Mix grill, with chicken peices, lamb chops, lamb sheek kebabs, which was plenty for 2 people. Portions of all the food served was generous Service from the staff was exceptional and friendly My complaint would have their toilets, they were smelly and not very clean which was a shame as it reflected on the restaurant.

Absolutely beautiful meal, in a pleasant and clean restaurant. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and lovely. We had a window seat, watching the world go by which we liked. Food was delicious and generous portions. Excellent value for money and we were made to feel very welcome indeed.

This was one of the best indians I have had, at first it does look as if someone in a wheelchair would not be able too get inn but just ask the staff and they will open the side door, this is well worth the trip

Amazing food, just the right amount of spice without blowing your head off. Taste over pain. We were sat downstairs and were initially squeezed onto a small table. Thankfully, when we asked to be moved, they moved us onto a larger table. Quick service and reasonably priced. About £35 a person. Not including starters

Food was decent and the service was really good, however it was incredibly expensive for what it is. Regular lamb curry was £16.50 and we paid nearly £20 for 6 lamb chops! Maybe that’s just standard in Nottingham

6 small cubes of Paneer in a portion of Chilli Paneer for £7 is ridiculous. Won't be ordering food from here again.

Lovely food, one of the best I've been to, but haven't been to any if the other high end Indians along this stretch of road. Inside is showing its age a little but I would thoroughly recommend it.

Very bad restaurant and bad food firstly all glasses and plates were served dirty all food was stale not good tasteless salted and also at last my drinks were charged double aswell very expensive bad service I recommend not to go.

Went inside this restaurant to get some Indian dessert/sweet however the main boss refused to serve us any dessert unless we spent £15 PER PERSON. He was also very unprofessional as he told his waitresses to tell us this and then hid away. The waitress felt really bad and was very apologetic but it’s a shame that the boss doesn’t know how to present himself/ communicate with customers.

When we sat down at the restaurant we found rice all over my partner “clean” plate, things just got worse from there. They didn’t bring out half the food we ordered but then was trying to be charged it at the end. My friend ordered a tikka masala and when sent back because they brought a korma out they just added some tomato to it… therefore tasted like tomato soup!! Food very bland and hardly any meat in the curries! Better off going to Calcutta Club or another restaurant on that road.

We went last night food was amazing best curry we’ve had in a long time. Staff very nice and helpful. Made a lamb bhuna for me which wasn’t on the menu. Met the manager ( sorry forgot his name) and he gave us a free drink afterwards. Would highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be going back

We ate here in a party of 7. The food was served promptly & hot 🙂 I had the Salmon tikka 👌🏿 No negatives here really, the only issue was parking, as I never like paying parking to eat somewhere. Would I come back here? YES!

If I could give 3.8 stars I think that would be spot on for this place. Went there last night. The service was very good and attentive. The food overall was good but nothing to write home about. The garlic and paneer chilli was very bland. The place itself need a little refurb as it is looking a little tired.

I would advise to eat before you come as you will be waiting for so long. You will get hungry again. Our food took 45 mins you would’ve thought they killed a live chicken.. I was utterly bitterly upset as I ordered a butter chicken and it had no butter and 1 chicken. I was on a. Date with my partner who has now left me after this experience and moved to Delhi! Restaurant/food lovely, but just eat deliverer couldn't seem to follow my typed or spoken (;on phonecalls) instructions. He didn't buzz my flat, said he'd been stood outside for 10 minutes, then when I explained to him how to use the intercom and to come to my flat, he tried to deliver to a flat upstairs! Honestly, I didn't realize so many mistakes could be made delivering food!!

Ambience is good and servers are also good. We had vegetarian food here which was average in taste. Can't comment about the taste of non vegetarian food

Service: The restaurant was nice enough and what seemed like the welcoming manager was very friendly on entering and leaving. The male waiter seemed somewhat confused at what he was tabling but it was all there as ordered. Food: I would say the food is "average" to "good" in quality. The menu is very limited on known UK popular dishes such as balti's, madras and bhuna's etc all missing. Warning!... We ordered 2 "rogan josh" which were both EXTREMELY hot (spicy) for a typical rogan josh and 1 "butter" dish, also very spicy for a typically non-spicy dish. All dishes (main, rice and even breads) are smaller than typical restaurants

Really nice meal with my work colleagues. Food was nice, service was good. We were not rushed to finish, which was great as we wanted to catch up over a meal. I would recommend.

Appalling service and like microwaved cooked Indian food. OVERWHELMING smell of a toilet as soon as you are in the restaurant. Waitress walked away as we were ordering drinks but credit to her- she managed to hear it all. Food was only as I describe as wet and reheated from frozen. Hardly a grill mark on any meat and our starters were very salty. Not worth a single penny.

First visit so didn't know what to expect, ordered a goan fish curry as it's a meal I know pretty well, was slightly disappointed as it seemed lacking something from previous goan fish curries. An enjoyable experience, staff were excellent as was the service. Will definitely visit again.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant recently, and I have to say it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, which made me feel instantly relaxed. The menu was full of delicious options, and I had a hard time deciding what to order. Eventually, I settled on the ‘Lamb Rogan Josh’, and it did not disappoint! The flavours were perfectly balanced, and every bite was a delight.

Where do i start... the atmosphere in here is nice relaxed you can hear each other talk which is good. When coming in your greeted by someone who makes sure your comfortable. Food easy to order quickly and wow starters were sizzling and full of flavour not like other places I've been. The mains were wow my mouth was watering looking at the food, nan and rotis were spot on too. The owner made sure we were comfortable and staf were super reponsive. Its things like this that makes it worth while visiting such a nice place. Will deffo be coming back again. I do have video footage too but can only submit pictures which don't do it justice. Hats off the the owners great place highly recommended

I took a friend who never had Indian food before and she absolutely loved it!! This is my go-to restaurant when I want to eat Indian. The place has a wide range of authentic Indian food to choose from, all is fresh and tasty - you can actually see them cooking the food in the open kitchen which is amazing. The staff was nice and did a good job looking after us. If you look to eat REAL and AUTHENTIC Indian food for a good price, this is the place!

Very bad experience happened. Booked for 3 people in advance and after getting the restaurant they told like they don’t have normal menu only having special menu which cost £35 per person. Almost waited 45 min for main courses and even we have ordered 3 special menu still they have only given 1 deserts. No drinks were added in that menu and at last almost £20 cost just for there service only. Very bad experience and will not even go near the restaurant ever. If you are planning to go please call the restaurant and confirm they are having all of there menu. Not even worth for one star rating.

We had a booking for a large group (18 people). The restaurant wasnt too busy. Despite the huge group, the food came out quite quickly. The food was delicious and the portions were large. There were plenty of options for vegetarians and the allergy sheet was helpful. We were able to pay separately and they also boxed up my leftovers.

We were a party of 18 I did find it very cold inside didn't take my coat off staff was very friendly took a while for our orders to come to the table was a little confusing with who ordered what even though orders were taken in small groups overall I had korma and rice nan bread was OK but had better I always say you have to try it yourself everybody had a good night would I go again....unsure ??

Tasty food .. attentive staff,, happening atmosphere.. Had ordered vegetarian food and it was actually delicious. First food in Nottingham having real Indian taste. Got surprise desert from staff as complementary.. Little costly. Definitely recommend if want to have Indian taste.

Massively exceeded our expectations! The staff were super friendly and attentive, if you are after an authentic tasting curry with quality ingredients and clearly a level of skill in the kitchen this is the place. The butter lamb was exceptional. We will be back

This was our fist time here. My drink had to be returned twice before they got it right. Food came out suspiciously fast-within 5 minutes of ordering. I ordered the butter paneer masala and it was mostly sauce with hardly any paneer in it. Very shocked when the bill came as not only was the food overpriced but there was a 12.5% discretionary service charge. (This was not mentioned anywhere). I think they need to rethink their pricing as the portion size and quality of food does not reflect the price charged. Overall a very mediocre experience and highly doubt we will be returning.

Ordered the starter and it came within 15 minutes which was fine. Unfortunately 55 minutes later we are still waiting for our main course. Bad service, average food, and expensive. Not impressed and I won't be returning.

Very small portion. Bit dated place. No heating very cold. Some of the drinks over priced. Food probably frozen and reheated.

Food was nice but the waiters need more training, I asked a young lady Wre the washroom was she replied saying I don’t know. I asked another waiter about the meerkat offer he did not have any knowledge about this.

Nice staff ok setting but the food was bland no spice no flavours you can tell this is not a authentic desi restaurant it’s more catered to non Asian palate.
