This has become our early Friday evening drop in. Unfortunately they do not do food on a Friday, but their Tapas on a Wednesday is fabulous. Highly recommended.

I came here for a late breakfast today after checking The reviews and it seemingly being a good option for the area. However I can't in good faith leave a good review as the entire experience was very sub par. The food was a total let down and the service leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered 2 lattes and two English breakfasts which came in at £32 which is pretty pricey considering how poor the food was. The English breakfasts - Beans - lukewarm and watery, seemingly the cheapest can the supplier has to offer and hardly cooked at all. Mushroom - very wet and oily, with no discernable flavour, like they are roasted plain and left in the water / oil Bacon - clearly pre cooked in an oven, served cold and hard like it was barely warmed to order and void of the fatty salty flavour that is bacon. Half grilled tomato - guess what, cold Single solitary hash brown - cold and barely cooked, like it was kissed in the fryer oil. Toast - cheapest granary bread the shops have to offer and not buttered even Eggs - 2 fried, fine but unseasoned however served on a single slice of the above mentioned cheap bread, again unbuttered and not even toasted? I don't really understand why you would choose to serve it like this, who wants eggs on plain cheap granary bread?? Sausage - hot crispy and delicious The service was dreadful, one guy and one girl behind the counter, we weren't sat at a a table, we weren't suggested to order at the bar, in fact we were completely ignored by the staff until I went to the bar to order after 5 or so minutes. The gentleman taking my order than interrupted me halfway through to walk off and serve some customers sitting out front. There was no check back on the food by either staff and little to no words spoken by either except the lady who asked if we would like pepper on our breakfast. The coffee was the only redeeming feature and it was very enjoyable and well made. I conclusion, this place has very poor service, highly subpar food and seem to use the cheapest available ingredients and condiments (a cheap branded selection of sachets and the same branded small squares of butter for you to butter your cold and cheap granary bread) they clearly don't employ good chefs and are peddling overpriced poorly cooked food. The atmosphere was lovely however very fashion over function it seems. The worst and most overpriced "full English" i have had the displeasure of eating. Edited for typing error *

Myself and ex workmates meet up every couple of weeks for breakfast. We try to go to different places each time. First time here. A really tasty breakfast, friendly and excellent service. We will definitely come again.

Wonderful independent cafe/restaurant serving lovely food & coffee. Turns into a cocktail bar in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday. Great service but please don't come here if you are in a hurry !! A haven for the chilled out

I visit this place a lot and it never disappoints. The food is exceptional and Sokol is welcoming and takes pride in his work . This place is a huge asset to the high street and probably one of the best places I’ve ever eaten and I’ve been lucky enough to eat in Michelin star restaurants

Serious competition to Costa and other cafes in Shepperton.

Stopped for coffee & ended up staying for lunch due to the miserable weather. Best thing that could have happened! The seafood risotto was absolutely ambrosial - creamy, peppery, fresh, full of seafood, flavourful & delicious. On top of that it was a generous portion and amazing value for money. Asked for a side salad and that was also fresh and made with care. So happy when I can wholeheartedly support a local business, this is a great place and I’m so glad I ate there.

I had a roast beef lunch on Sunday with friends. This was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned meal. Highly recommend to try the Sunday roast 😋

What a lovely place! Food is tasty with fresh ingredients. Menu has great options and they are swift with takeaway service at lunch time. The lady who works there, Ae, is just a bundle of joy and really gives service with a smile!

We have visited no.4 on serval occasions over the last month. We have been in for Sunday lunch, which was amazing food, such good quality and flavour, it was a really relaxed welcoming environment. We had our children with us and their potions are very generous for the price. We also popped in for a cocktail on a Thursday night which also happened to be the shepperton mingle night. The vibe had a holiday feel and the sangria was as good as would drink in Spain. The owner is very welcoming, accommodating and can make you any drink you ask for.

We had coffees here. They have plenty of seating, with a few seats outside, really good atmosphere. The man who served us was delightful and charming. Coffee was excellent. We would definitely recommend the Thurlestone in Shepperton.

I've been coming to Number 4 since it opened, and have always enjoyed the food and drinks... The breakfast and brunch options are tasty, and always cooked beautifully. Great range of drinks, the coffee is really good! I've also had a pasta lunch here, and it was fantastic. A great size portion, and delicious! Last Sunday we went for the Sunday Roast, eight of us, I have to say it was very, very good. The beef was great, cooked well, not fatty. The chicken was also very good. Portion sizes are perfect. The pudding optioned were great too (the strudel was excellent!). The service is always exceptional and the guys who work there very friendly. Keep the high street alive - eat local!

Wanted a quiet cup of coffee then walked into a kinder garden of noise screems, furniture moving etc. while parents spoke loudly to drown out the selfish noise.

This place had been recommended . I visited on Saturday 20/1/24 with a friend who visited from the new forest. We asked for vegetarian options and a jacket potato . We were told the potato was sweet potato and the accompaniment was tuna with sweet corn and couldn't be changed . I asked for cheese and rocket perhaps. The potato was soft with barely any filling of cheese and only a couple of sprigs of rocket. At £10.a potato it was not value for money. The service we received was also very careless and off hand. Very disappointing .

Amazing!!!!!!!! We had Christmas lunch 6 courses of some of the best food I have had. The service was second to none and the care and attention that was given to each dish was really first class. I only wanted scramled egg on a well toated buttered muffin. The muffin was soft and the scrambled eggs turned out like an omlette.There was a lit of salad on my plate which I didnt want for breakfast. Why is it so difficult to do something so simple

I recommend this place to eat at any time of the day. The atmosphere is really nice and comforting,the decorations are beautiful and the customer service is really good as the workers are always nice to me everytime i go there. I came alone for a lunch in between jobs. Was met by a very new but extremely welcoming and charming man. Preferred the wild mushrooms with poach egg on sourdough…. Delicious! Felt very welcome.

Booked for a meal for 4 this evening, our first visit and won't be our last! Staff were so friendly and super attentive. We opted for the 3 course menu, the food was superb, amazing quality and beautifully presented. The mullet starter with samphire was delicious, the steak main with truffle mash, spinich and mushrooms was fabulous and the cheeseboard to finish great (very generous, with a pile of crackers, three decent sized cheeses and a large portion of grapes). If you want quality food, with a lovely ambience (and very resonable pricepoint) then this is the place for you.... they change the menu every month too! The owner/chef is a lovely guy who cooks with passion, which really shows in the dishes he cooks - he came out and served our food personally....thank you for your hospitality guys, we'll definitely be back (made another reservation before we left tonight 😀) It's great to have such a lovely independent restaurant on our doorstep can't believe its taken us this long to visit! See you again soon!

I hear it’s good food well priced, but not for me. I left early because the manager was so rude. Just because you are busy doesn’t give you the right to be officious.

Visited on Saturday and had the tasting menu. Food was amazing, service very personal and good value for money. Unfortunately the atmosphere was the only thing lacking, this was mainly because we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. I would strongly recommend a visit for the tasting menu but make sure you are hungry when you go, the portions are very generous!!

Tremendous tasting menu at a superb price. Six courses for less than £60 per person. And these are healthy portions. Fabulous food, beautifully presented. Steak Tartare, tuna, John Dory, a fabulous piece of steak...delicious. Highly recommended and great to have such a high quality restaurant so close to home.

We tried this place based on the good reviews but perhaps we came on an off day. When we arrived we weren’t greeted by anyone so we went & sat inside with our small dog & my husband went to order at the counter. About 10 minutes later we were approached & told that no dogs were allowed inside, only outside. It was quite a chilly day so this wasn’t ideal. We ordered 2 English breakfasts & the lovely lady behind the till clearly wrote on the order slip that 1 was with poached egg & 1 was scrambled eggs. We received our orders both with fried eggs. My husband decided to just eat his but I asked for scrambled so they took it away & basically chopped up the fried egg which I didn’t land up eating. The pork sausages were so hard & dry we struggled to even cut them, clearly made early in the morning & kept warm. The mushroom looked great but tasted of old absorbed oil, think it had also been cooked early & left in a warmer. The mocha however was really delicious & came with a fresh wafer straw which was a lovely touch. Overall based on our first visit we wouldn’t be rushing back any time soon.

Amazing food here in Shepperton! Thought I was on the judges panel on Masterchef or in a Michelin restaurant. Although the 6 course tasting menu sounds expensive when you look at the quality of food then it is something else and well worth the money. For anyone who loves food this is the place -. just to experience something different.Thank you guys for a memorable evening and for bringing your culinary skills to Shepperton.

I go to Shepperton for work and recently discovered this cafe - restaurant, I was impressed and I didn't expect there to be such a good choice outside London. I highly recommend it and you will remember me.

This place is run by the team formerly at Petrititi's in Molesey. We came for an evening meal and it was fantastic. 6 course tasting, absolutely incredible food, quiet and peaceful experience. Would thoroughly recommend. Thanks guys for a fab dinner 👍👍

I can't emphasise enough how lovely I have found the staff to be in this place. Welcoming, kind, and good at their craft. It's always quiet when I'm here, which is a shame in a way, but also very relaxing! The coffee is a fairly familiar taste, but in a good way - nothing wildly fruity or artsy, it's just real nice coffee served by good people in a relaxing environment. I also especially appreciate the complimentary chocolate straw, which would cost you at least £1 in St*rb*cks. Long may this place continue.

Very nice little coffee/cafe been here many times the food is always amazing just sometimes what you want isn't on the menu but just ask and they will go and russle it up. It's getting busy now but that goes to show how good it is. Could do with Internet so you can pop in and do some work.

A delicious espresso. I love third-wave style drips and shots, but this is not that. This is satisfying, textured Italian-style espresso with flavours developing over your drinking time. Do it justice. Get a glass of water with it (I didn't, if only I'd clocked the style of espresso before I ordered!), sit outside, and enjoy.

I would like to start by saying that the cafe is in a great position, coffee 's are good, pastry's are good. Staff are good. Now unfortunately the downside. We have been here 2 times now for breakfast and have placed our orders with the same member of staff, both times we have had our orders forgotten about and not ended up with our breakfasts. I think that the system needs to change. Maybe a ticket system that when an order comes in, the ticket is printed in the kitchen and not at the cash desk, so things dont get missed.
