4 Seasons in Cheshire West and Chester

Always a great chip shop no matter what you order, my mum had her fish over 2 days as she only eats small meals. The people there are always nice and so helpful. This will always be my choice of chip shop.

Quite popular, 4 Seasons chippy has been going for years. Always open throughout the day & year even when other chippies are closed. Food is always freshly prepared. Also Chinese, burgers & kids menu, drinks and a cold drinks machine. Free roadside and disability parking, except Thursday as market stalls all along the main road. Chargeable parking round the back.

Great chippy nice food great scallops and crispy fish service takes time but still good atmosphere quiet but good this chippy is a great little treat.

We all agree that it was possibly the worst chinese we have ever had. I'm really not sure how they get 4.5 stars. I can only say it must be for chips and fish etc. Definitely not for Chinese meals.

We always stop at the four seasons in Frodsham for fish & chips on the way back from the airport - as a treat. The fish & chips are always excellent and reasonably priced. Read some of the nit picking reviews on here & frankly bemused by them - they’ll be happy when there’s no fish & chip shops left!!

Fish, scallop mushy peas and curry can of pop Bit oily on the paper saying that the batter on the fish was light and crispy and the fish was thick and meaty peas and curry spot on the scallop potato was super fluffy inside and it's massive I couldn't eat it all 😄 overall very good £10.20

Just really lovely food chips cooked perfect fish was delicious and curry sauce and mushy peas delicious we always stop here on way home back to Manchester after days out in North Wales highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed 😉🙂

Best fish I've had from a chip shop in years. Freshly cooked, flaky but not dry, thin crispy batter. The chips are a bit different to what I'm used to (thinner and slightly browned) but good too.

Just wanted to say a massive Thank You to all the staff. I'm in a wheelchair. I visited again last night and once again the staff took my order and brought the food to me. You are a credit to your employer. The Food is amazing too. Well worth the 24 miles round trip for me.

The fish and chips were nice. Staff a little abrupt. Ordered Chinese food for grandchild only to find an unexpected prawn in the fried rice! Had to throw it away as she can’t eat prawns. A little pricey too. However, good varied menu and easy parking.

Worst chips ever tasted. Asked for spicy curry, well where was the curry? A sprinkle over the chips that was tasteless. Half of them stuck to the “non stick paper” My little one even said the chips were horrid. Should’ve stuck to Oh My Cod or gone to the Kebab shop next door!

Chips OK, spam fritter was definitely warmed up, batter rock hard considering it was only 12pm lunch time, made me ill felt sick and had the runs round a few hours later, won't be going back there, discusting.

Excellent chippy, I have always finished my food and have often gone out of my way to get fish and chips there.

Been here before so was slightly wary as I wasn't satisfied the last time I came. The chips are not good disappointed again. Served wrapped too tight, stuck together chips, pale colour, greasy, floppy chips. Shame. The fish was nice though if slightly dark batter. Maybe change the cooking oil or cook for longer?? Crime against chips.

Ordered three fish dinners, but got no peas or curry sauce; chips were soggy, greasy, plus fish wasn't that great.

A very busy take away on a Monday lunchtime. The chips were soo good. The rest of our order was also good, not much waste and the portion sizes are generous. Highly recommend.

Have used 4seasons occasionally for maybe 40 years. It’s always been ok but nothing special. It’s in a neighbouring village so I’m not a regular. On the last occasion we went on the way to the local park. They currently do a deal where you get two fish, a large chips and a carton of peas so had one of these. It’s not great food but it’s ok at best. Whilst half way through my meal I dug in with my fork and there underneath was a hair. I’m sure it is a pubic hair but maybe it’s from a beard or maybe been fried. Even if it’s not a pubic hair it is disgusting. Needless to say we won’t be using this place again

Lovely fish and chips, but the woman serving was rude and sulky,I asked for my order and she got it wrong and insisted it was me that got it wrong,then had a huffy attitude,not very nice customer service.the food is nice though and I'll still go.

Great prices.... That's where it ends. Awful chips and the Chinese food has got zero flavour, similar quality to a cheap frozen food chain.... Sorry but the frying oil needs changing, (strange taste) and the Chinese food needs some authenticity and seasoning

Consistently excellent chippy! Lots of these places are drastically increasing prices while quality is dropping off. I'm pleased to say that 4 Seasons seems to be bucking the trend. Still great quality fresh fish 👍

I was lucky enough to be in Frodsham for five months. This was my go to place to eat. Friendly staff and the best food dever. i miss it so much.

This Establishment refused to accept legal tender Scottish notes which clearly state that they are sterling I have been a regular customer for years this will be my last visit

The food was well priced and ok but not the best. We was staying on a camp site near by and used trip advisor to find the local take away and this one came up so gave it a go . Staff pleasant price good just not the best quality and batter on fish and sausages was to thick , meaning it wasn’t fully cooked

Lovely food .. best chippy chips around. Such a shame about the very rude young girl who works in there. If looks could kill! never met anyone so rude in my life very very poor customer service.. came out and mentioned to my mum who said the same girl was rude to her the week before!

Had fish chips and peas for the last two Monday nights for tea. Great value for money and cooked to order. Friendly staff and service had to wait which I think is a good sign. A big thanks Mark and Jeanette. 👍😁.

Bought two fish and chips , the fish were eatable ,but the chips were the worst i have ever tasted all soggy and oily went in the bin

I just want to thank Four Seasons for their very generous offer yesterday when they provided fish and chips free for the older generation. We took them up on their kind offer and enjoyed a more then generous portion of freshly cooked fish and chips. Thank you, it was a very kind gesture and one that was very much appreciated. As regulars we have enjoyed many a meal over the years, both English and Chinese, and can honestly say that this has to be the best chippy around.

Long standing traditional Fish and chip shop in the beautiful Cheshire village of Frodsham . Also offers extensive range of Chinese dishes . Great place to buy takeaway food after a nice walk in the local countryside. Lovely Castle Park is a very short walk away . Numerous excellent pubs and entertainment in the village and nearby .

Not good on COVID securityWent tonight they served two people without masks without questioning then but even if they have a condition it only takes 2 minutes to order! No seating for people to use while waiting so elderly inform and pregnant women not catered for. Food mediocre nothing special. Service well average probably surfaces. Will I go back? Hell no.

I give this rating due to hygiene, ordered fish and chips, I noticed something black underneath the batter on my fish, upon further inspection it was a dead fly. I was refunded after I took the meal back.

The M56 as usual on a Friday afternoon stop and start. So I did a bit of back lane driving and cut through Frodsham. Traffic was fairly slow and my stomache was doing a bit of a war dance as it needed food. I said to my Wife if we should call for fish and chips in Frodsham. A well rounded yes was the reply. So we stopped at 4seasons for a late dinner. Fish and chips a round of bread and butter. being cheeky I asked if I could have a take out cup of tea. no problem was the reply and the young Lady went off and made me a brew. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at the 4 Seasons. The Fish and Chips were One of the best that we had tasted and as I was placing my used paper into the bin I gave the staff a big thumbs up . they do fish and chips , pies burgers , sandwiches and also a full menu of Chinese meals. They are situated in the Main Street of Frodsham on the right hand side if you going towards Helsby.

Always great battered fish. cooked fresh as you enter the premises not a big chip fan but these are pretty good.

The chips and fish were both soooo greasy when I opened them up asll the paper was pure grease. The food was therefore really really REALLY soggy and had little flavour.

Excellent fish best we've tasted. Proper fish and chips, also great Chinese takeaway menu, staff very helpful and polite. Would not buy from any other fish and chip shop, we live 3 villages away from frodsham but well worth the drive to buy from here. Best take away for miles .

Quite possibly the worst chips we have ever tasted They tasted rank with a very strange taste. We had to bin them after tasting a few. Although I must say the customer service from the lady who served me was excellent.

Very good for traditional fish and chips and the Chinese meals are good, usually open. Meal deals offer good value.Queing system needs formalising when busy as the counter staff can be inattentive

Simply the best chippy chips on earth, set in a lovely village.

Usually get a takeaway from here once a week at least. I called up earlier this afternoon to check what time the last orders would be for Chinese takeaway, being NYE I knew it would be busy (hence me ringing up to check). I was told 7.15pm but called at 7pm to be on the safe side and I was told by the teenage knuckle dragging student on the phone that they weren’t taking any more orders. After explaining I had called and spoke to him a few hours earlier he was neither apologetic, nor did his tiny brain comprehend the magnitude of what he was doing to my plans of NETFLIX and chill. I cooked my wife beans on toast instead and it has swiftly led to divorce and loss of custody for my two children. What a pain!!

The food is OK and good prices but I ended up walking out today after being ingnored for ten mins, everyone else had ordered already, just rude and they knew I was struggling with a toddler. I won't go again, e. J's down the road is more expensive but I don't made paying for decent customer service and actually being acknowledged.

Called in late afternoon food looked okay order our food ate in our car two cans of soft drinks from cabinet. Chips had a strange taste and fish no description of what it was batter heavy and poor Will not use again

Fast service, good size portions. We just had salt and pepper chips, spring rolls and chips cheese and Gravy.....we will go back again and try the menu

Great chippy that also caters with Chinese Take-a-ways. Never had a bad meal. Fish are large and always freshly cooked, quick and easy service, loads of parking outside.

Having had a long busy day at work we found ourselves with nothing for ready for our evening meal.

By far the best chippy in frodsham. Every time I go the fish is freshly cooked to perfection in front of you. I haven't tried anything other than the fish and chips but they are worth going for.

Love calling off at this chippy after a day out. Fish is always freshly cooked while you wait and the chips are always tasty. Last fish I ate was at Whitby, best known for fresh fish but I still preferred my fish from four seasons, maybe its the batter that gives it that extra tasty flavour.

Just had 2 large yummy cod, chips and best mushy peas we've ever tasted for a tenner! Absolute bargain! Will definitely be going again

Great food and good value for money, as a family of 6 we don't have a chippy tea very often, but there is something here for everyone, there is Chinese food of of course all the chippy favourites,The food here is always good 😊

We have visited here on numerous occasions. We always order Chinese food which is absolutely lovely. I would have rated Excellent but the Chips we had twice weren't the best.

I know we don't visit chippies for the excellent customer service they provide but.....for goodness sake! Not a smile or a word of greeting from staff who don't appear to want to be there and treat you as though you are an inconvenience to them. Well if I'm that inconvenient I won't be using this place again. The food is ordinary and I really don't think it should be served from hands with chipped nail varnish! This place used to be great but I really can't be bothered any more.....just like them!

sorry to have to write this as this chippy is the best in the area, but had unpleasant experience yesterday with girl with very bad attitude. Asked for bill to be rechecked, and was met with bad facial expressions and smug attitude, said bill was correct and held it up to my face. When pointed out that I had been charged for fish I had not ordered, I received no apology and made to feel the fault was mine rather than hers, with refund just dropped into my hand. This is an excellent chip shop with good staff but on this occasion it was let down by person with no manners.

Called for a chippy lunch today and as the portions are quite generous we shared a large fish and chips! The chips were exceptional and I like the fact that they served everything up in paper as I think that they taste much better in just paper as opposed to the polystyrene trays! Be prepared for a little wait as they cook your fish to order but the food is piping hot and we ate it sat in the car outside the shop. If the weather had been better we'd have sat on the bench!

YUK !went in for a bag of chips, and they were soggy and oily.I only managed to eat half and binned the rest.Very bad...still feel ill thinking about them , an hour later.

After having a fantastic day in wales, me and my parents were famished when we got to Frodsham and we have used this place before. The staff looked like they would rather be elsewhere and were hard to talk to, rude really. The rest of the staff in the back just stood there looking like deer in headlights. We ordered 3 regular fish and chips. Absolutely disgusting. The chips were undercooked yet oozing in grease, the fish looked like it had about 5 coats of batter on and was very fatty and not at all crispy. Very hard to eat and thick in places. Made all three of us feel sick. To top it off they provide the most pathetic of forks to "eat" with. Would not recommend.

Last minute decision to call and get some chips on our way home. Have eaten from here before with no concerns. After a short wait whilst waiting for Chips to be cooked. One of the young girls decided to scratch her neck, then her arm then touch her face. Although friendly enough I just found these actions quite off putting. She then proceeded to wrap up our food. Come on 4 seasons you have a great selection of food but I don't wish to purchase any added extras of flakey skin etc. If you are serving food please serve with care.

Fish was cooked fresh so looked like it was going to be good, nice clean looking chippy.I'm sorry but the fish had been cooked at too lower temperature. The batter was holding a lot of fat and not at all crispy. As you pressed your fork into the batter to cut a piece, the amount of oil oozing was horrendous, I decided to remove the batter and just eat the cod, it was very thin and tasteless to be fair. The chips were pretty much the same, soggy and drab, on the whole, fish and chips and a fish on its own for nearly £9?? Sorry it was absolutely awful, as I threw a chip to a hungry looking pigeon loitering in the vicinity of a waste bin in the street, the pigeon inspected the chip and never had a go at it. Says it all, hold your head in shame to take peoples hard earned dough and serve up quite disgusting food.

I work in a distribution centre in Helsby and we do not have a food canteen, so as a treat every friday we order what is now quite a large order from 4 seasons, usally around twenty plus orders. We agree a time and they deliver it to us, some of our team do not live in this area and had never been to 4 seasons before but they are now converts, all are impressed with the quality and portion size of their orders, Good job Phil keep it up!

What a horrible over priced chippy this is, i nipped in only to get a savoury cake with only 2 people waiting to get served behind me, but the young girls serving where to busy chatting to each other than serving customers, one which was pregnant, they clearly didn't know who was next to be served, i told them to forget my custom as I'll go some where else to eat leave only with knowing how the girl was going to give birth which i really didn't want to know ..... VERY POOR SERVICE AND OVER PRICED. Avoid

Excellent chippy. I travel from Northwich to Runcorn just to taste their gorgeous Corned Beef Fritters. If I have been away on holiday, I always drive from Liverpool or Manchester Airports to this chippy on the way home, as I miss them so much. If I am really hungry I throw in a meat pie, as they are all hand made locally and full of real tasty meat.

Totally appalled by the fish and chips. the fish looked like it had been their all day and tasted as very dry and hard. The chips are definately the greasiest i have ever tasted. I would advise everyone to stay well away from this place.

Best potato scallops ever, and they do a cone of chips which is always good for a snack. Chips and cheese is also on the menu which scores extra points with me.

The far the best take away. It is extremely clean and fresh and the staff are dressed smartly and clearly take pride in their work. All the food is fresh and you can tell by the taste. The menu choice is wide on a Wednesday 2 Chinese meal for £8. You can be confident of the quality of the Fish and Chips and Chinese Food at 4 Season's in Frodsham. Well worth the visit.
