Really enjoyed the food and drinks and staff really pleasant,

Everything was great and wonderful service

Expensive and poor selection, 2 adults and 2 kids with 4 drinks £75. Meat was dry not much served alsl no many vegetables to choose from. Wasn't clear how the carvery worked and wasn't clear where to find the gravy and sauces. Overall terrible. I'll stick to Toby carvery.

Absolutely shocking my food was really dry found a hair in my food and there was not many options

After a bit of a rocky Christmas day meal, we were invited back as a family to have a meal on the house! It was bloody lovely!! Starters mains and pudding all spot on and served super quickly! Mandy, Aaron and George are just super lovely, friendly and chatty and kept checking everything was okay and we really appreciate that level of service! Thanks guys we really appreciate you doing this for us tonight!

Come here every 4weeks on payday! We love it here JP and his team are lovely! JP even said he had a temptation to squirt mayo at me as he was bringing it over but decided against it! JP has a lovely personality and we will be back like normal!

Visited with my family on a very quiet Wednesday afternoon, no more than 4 tables were occupied so very few diners. We ordered and paid for our order at the bar then waited and waited and waited, my partner was eventually served his meal, still waiting for our drinks ( 3 x orange juices). It took then over half an hour to get our drinks and this was after us asking for them again. Had our main course. We then waited and waited for our desserts and had to ask for them too. Shockingly bad service considering the place was fairly empty, which is a shame, as the food was OK.

Carvery was very good, highly recommended, car parking good and tables well placed.

The Landlady and her staff made our party feel so warmly welcome for our Saturday Lunch. The food, Carvery, Fish and Chips, Pie and Mash and Chicken Nuggets and Chips were perfectly cooked, nice and hot and tasty. We will definitely return and recommend ❤️

Carvery beef was lovely as usual. I'm coeliac and I know I can always get a decent meal at the Old Quay. Staff were lovely as usual. By the way, your breakfasts are bonza too.

Dry food, tasteless, lumpy gravy, no beef, burnt pigs in blankets, not much to choose from, no atmosphere (could have at least played Christmas music since it was a Christmas menu) we came back becauae last year we were happy with the Christmas menu. No effort whatsoever. God knows what's happened this year because it was a massive let down. We paid £60 for the pleasure of a disappointing Christmas dinner.

The carvery was delicious and the service was first class - many thanks.

Me and my family had drinks for the evening. Staff are lovely , friendly and helpful. Food and drink is reasonable prices , I’ve had several meals in the past and I’ve always enjoyed.

Me and my family had Christmas dinner today 25th December 24, this was the first time we have done this, period. There we're some timing issues both with the starter and the dessert but having said that the food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it, my wife was over the moon when they gave us some small containers to take Christmas dinner home for our three dogs as they would have lost out. I felt sorry for the staff who were doing the best they could and maintained a courteous and professional attitude when some customers got personally abusive to them. Thank you for all your hard work you made our day fantastic and with no dishes to wash, we will certainly come again Merry Christmas to you all.

Just had my Christmas dinner there worst experience ever under staffed worst food to go with it. Went last year brilliant.

Wonderful place ans happy to return

We booked for a party of 24. We booked 3 courses and drinks. On arrival the staff were very helpful and made sure we were seated quickly. The food order was coth carvery and menu. All the food was prompt and correct. They were quick to clear tables ready for each course. The whole process was efficient.

Came for breakfast with Santa today with my 2 kids It was absolutely brilliant Santa was superb. The kids really enjoyed it

Visited the Breakfast with Santa this morning at the Old Quay Stonehouse Park Gate The whole experience was incredible! Buffet style breakfast so that everyone could chose what they wanted. Plenty to chose from, sausages, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, beans, even Waffles. All delicious. Staff were amazing and the atmosphere within the restaurant and the views from the windows were amazing. But the thing that made it extra special was the Santa and his interactions. He was amazing! He wasn't just glued to a seat, he walked around, he worked the tables and he interacted with each and every child, many times! He was even there to serve the kids breakfasts!! He was also very funny and knew the right things to say. He even posed for many photos! This really was a great experience!

JP and the team are absolutely amazing. I’m the window cleaner that cleans this pub, I was broken down in the car park after cleaning it after 9am. JP went above and beyond and looked after me with some free food and drinks. I was still stranded at 5pm and JP drove me back to Stockport in rush hour traffic. Would recommend this place if you want a bite to eat or to chill and have a drink with friendly staff that go above and beyond for everyone. Thanks again for today JP you are a legend

2nd visit in 2 weeks. Great discounted menu with different options each day. Tuesday (today) happened to be 50% off Pizzas. The 'Carvery' Calzone made by young Alex (chef) was amazing, filled with a very generous selection of meats from the Carvery. Partner had Hawaian Pizza with stuffed crust. Again, it tasted great. Both were stone baked. Definately worth a visit again.

Food was good , but you had a offer on of £6 a meal i was charged full price and when I queried this I was told you should have used a qr code, We had booked a table for 3 through your app and didn't realise we had to use the code and wasn't asked if we had one , we were then told rather flippantly its to late now bit the offer is on till Friday if you come back , we had travel from uoton to eat and won't be going back thus week seems a shame really that this couldn't have been rectified ,as we wouldn't have traveled in the week for a full price carvery as we have one of those on our doorstep , a Toby , so wasn't very happy

We came here as a family about 3 years ago and to be honest the food was poor and some of the attitudes staff was poor but today our daughter wanted a roast and so we thought we would give it a try it's had a much needed uplift in decor and the staff were amazing with my daughter who has a milk allergy, John and team took the time to make sure everything was milk free and even offered to make extra things without milk like cauliflower without cheese, the food was hot and lovely and the atmosphere was great, staff were friendly and will absolutely be back!

Very busy on a Sunday, but still managed to get a table around 6pm without reservation. Can't speak for the rest of the menu, but the carvery/Sunday roast was good, the waiters friendly and helpful, and the man doing the carving was friendly and efficient.

Absolutely the best beef around, don't know how they do it but it was amazing, lovely staff very welcoming an a all round homely vibe, lovely food.

Went for Breakfast. Very busy but staff we very composed and professional even when issues presented themselves.

Just had a lovely evening at The Old Quay. The food was fab (Philly Burger and Carvery) but it was the staff that made the night. A huge shout out to JP who was EXTREMELY tolerant of my lack of technical ability with app. All good fun and we felt very well looked after.

We went for breakfast on Sunday and were charged the rate for full breakfast - unfortunately when we went to the self service there was hardly anything left - ended up with bacon and egg and toast so certainly not worth the money. Bar staff you need to make people aware it is coming to the end and not charge the full price.

The old quay never disappoints the food is amazing and the staff always friendly and welcoming, there is plenty to choose from on the menu which is amazing for my family as we all have different meals and the waffle sundaes are delicious thanks again guys we will definitely be returning

Fantastic service and care from Tilly tonight. She was really happy to greet us and made sure we had an enjoyable visit. The only criticism was the carvery meat carver was again creating a mess of carving, and all three plates ended up with fragments of a cut. It's a shame as we have stayed away because of this, and there's been no change.

I live in Parkgate and this is my local. Very friendly staff and great views over the estuary. I would highly recommend a visit and sit on the outside patio to take in the view and enjoy one of the best places on the Wirral.

Pizza are great ! Nice thin bases and plenty of toppings , well cooked and prepared by Lex. George served us and was very pleasant, efficient and helpful. We come here regularly and will continue to do so. Lovely setting. 👍👍

We all had a carvery, will never come back again awful food! Nothing fresh out all been sat under the heater all day mash all crusty and dry, roasters rock hard a man infront asked for new ones they were that bad, the amount of meat they give you wouldn’t even fill a toddler. Yorkshire puddings stale nothing out is fresh absolutely shocking used to be lovely, gone down hill such a shame. Not the first time this has happened thought the first time was a one off but clearly not.

From start to finish everything was amazing. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Going above and beyond with their service. Didn’t get everyone’s name but JP and Mandy were exceptional. Great evening had by all. I would highly recommend this place.

Probably the worst carvery I’ve ever had , most of the veg was empty and what was left was nearly black , roast potatoes where rock hard , very little meat , server didn’t k ow how to carve a piece of meat and didn’t let me have the pigs in blankets even thou we paid for the works . All in all a bloody awful experience
