My past two visits to this place haven’t been great and have in fact put me off from possibly getting a coffee from this place again. There is one gentleman that works here think he could be called Mike, brown hair wears glasses who is very polite and helpful with the drinks. But the last time I went, I ordered a white mocha which was just poorly made(wasn’t made by this gentleman). Then today I ordered a matcha latte which I got for free with a full loyalty card, to which I forgot to ask if I could have vanilla syrup(one time a guy added it for free) to which two staff said well did you order it because you have to pay for it, to which I said no I forgot to ask, to which both staff kept telling me you need to remember next time because we have to charge for it and I said I’m happyTo pay now and they said we will allow it this time but you need to remember next time! Never had such a fuss about syrup which I said I’d pay for. Just felt like I got spoken to really rudely. Also the matcha latte was very poor it wasn’t filled even close to the top even with the syrup added, and the powder wasn’t mixed in at all. Poor customer service and drinks. Will have to find another coffee shop now

Popped in on the off chance. Ordered Mocha and White Chocolate Mocha. Really impressed by the quality and favour. Nice relaxing environment, like the decor. Staff seem very friendly. Hope to pay another visit soon.

The place itself is gorgeous and perfect for catching up with friends. The place itself has lovely interior with lots of exposed wooden beams and a fire place cosy in the back. This cafe however an become very busy so sometimes getting a table can become an issue. Definitely get a coffee with their gorgeous roast being a firm favourite for many in Leicester. The food available is very fresh and looks appealing, definitely one to stick around in for a few hours and not just a quick visit.

Was very disappointed when ordering the hot chocolate... if I knew it was dark chocolate I would have stayed well away!!! It should state it on the menu!! Bitter, gross and £3.20 with no cream or marshmallows ☹️ Won’t be coming back.

Way overpriced , but maybe best coffee place inside lovely place to sit & nice staffPrices are on par with nice restaurants so for same monies can choose many other places , don’t expect any or much change from £6 for a basic (Americano which is usually cheapest) coffee & a slim slice of cake Cake was a tad to sweet for me but other food looks good quality ( sandwiches etc)Nice place to go but not regular If prices offered some value then this would be the complete package & would have a lot less empty seatsMe & big group of pals meet each week (Nero / costa ) for few coffee’s snacks etc but they’ll moan about prices here

coffee was good, but was served by a stone faced chubby spotty Greek waitress, she made me want to run to a dump like Mcdonalds, but I stayed. The staff are pleasant apart from the limp wristed manager who takes orders from the obnoxious Greek girl whos just as crap as him.! oh yes have you ever thought of getting with the programme and serving our expensive coffee with organic milk, its only a few pence more expensive and the cows hardly suffer! Toilets need cleaning !

Researched this coffee shop before going to Leicester and was excited by the reviews. My partner loves good coffees and teas and to say that you have the best chai latte he has ever tasted is no lie. Honestly, we live 2 nearly hours away and he is already talking about when would be acceptable to go back for another. I had the hot chocolate, it was rich but not too heavy, perfection.

A lovely coffee shop, nicely decorated and friendly service. The hot chocolate tasted decadent and although I only had toast, it was lovely thick tasty bread and when i asked for extra butter ( I like my toast dripping in butter) , it was no issue. My son had a sausage buttie and said it was excellent. Definitely a coffee shop I'll return to next time I come to Leicester

When I have to go into Leicester, Nottingham or Birmingham then 200 Degrees are my must visit coffee shop.I love the coffee so much I use their amazing and easy online subscription service to have freshly roasted coffee beans arrive every 2 weeks. You do have the option for different timescales depending how quickly you get through beans. The staff are clearly passionate and well trained with knowledge of their products. I asked for a guest espresso today as a flat white and informed that it goes better as a black Americano and with a milk drink the house blend is better. Please visit them 5/5.

We stumbled across this coffee shop when we arrived in Leicester. So glad we did.First visit was for lunch.Interesting choice of veggie sandwiches, which were very tasty. The coffee is superb, lovely to see they roast their own beans. My husband was especially excited to see Long black on the menu. The next day we returned for coffee and cake.Equally delicious.Super atmosphere. Lots of tables to sit and chat around. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable about coffee. We bought some beans for home.100% recommend and look forward to visiting again.

I visited this weekend as part of a large group. We'd all pre-ordered our food to help the kitchen. We selected from a list of wraps, baguettes, quiche or frittata. Despite our pre-orders and reserved booking the food for our group came out over a period of about an hour and 30 minutes - almost as if there was only one meal being prepped at a time, and meaning we were all eating at different times.I ordered a frittata and was given quiche. When I was given it I said "Frittata?" back to the waiter, and he confirmed "yes"! Given the wait we'd already had and that we had other things to do, I just went with it.However, it was delicious, as was the side salad I had with it.The coffee was OK and the prices reasonable - but I'm not sure I'd rush back.

the place is nicely lit, towards the rear and has a nice dark atmosphere near the front/counter. really a lovely place to sit in. its real letdown was the 'cappuccino' I ordered. I've never seen Latte Art in one before, I think the baristas need to not be showing off on every coffee they get and focus on the quality of the milk foam

When 200 Degrees opened in Leicester a couple of years ago it was a very welcome addition to cafe culture in Leicester. We particularly enjoyed the home made scones and cake collection during the first 6 months. Then it stopped making the scones - and now the cake collection is as homogenized and mundane as those in Costa or Starbucks.Yesterday morning (10.30) we went in for tea and toast. Not only was service slow because there were only two staff on duty (and one was clearly a trainee member of staff) but also there was no bread, so no toast. Poor management - we love the atmosphere of 200 degrees but you need to sharpen up your management of the place and get more creative with your food - and get those lovely scones back!

I came here with a friend for lunch. I’ve often walked past and wanted to pop inside, so I was glad when my friend suggested a trip. It’s a beautiful place, but I thought the options of food were a little disappointing. I’m vegan, and unfortunately there was only one sandwich choice, and I had to pay more for my drink to be made with soy milk. I thought the additional milk cost was unreasonable as I’ve never had to pay extra for milk, even in other independent coffee shops. In total, a sandwich and a hot drink cost short of £9. I don’t think I’ll be rushing back. Overall, an okay visit.

Myself and my family quickly popped in for a morning coffee; the coffee is clearly good quality (not at all bitter) and the coffee artwork was a nice touch. The two muffins we shared, one lemon and white chocolate, the other blueberry, were very tasty and the Cumberland sausage and egg muffin was also nice.As we were leaving a lady was bringing down some sandwiches which all looked delicious and we will definitely be returning for lunch to give them a tryAll the staff were friendly and helpful: we left very happy with our quick stop!

The place is stylish layout that you do not regularly meet on a high street. Once entered it is one big hall basically where coffee is served and people have a good time and on the other hand people working on laptops. The staff was friendly and the coffee and hot chocolate is great, but a bit pricy but I guess this is needed for the location benefit of the company. It echo's a bit, so its a bit loud on more crowded days but definitely actually an good place to be in somewhat arty.

This is my absolute favourite coffee shop now.I understand from other comments that some people like their coffee hotter, but for me (and my wife) it's absolutely perfect. The flavour and strength are spot on!The only problem I have is that the coffee is soon gone....then I want another one.The food is excellent. If I was to be really picky, I'd say the food needs a glass screen to stop the great unwashed from coughing and sneezing over it, and maybe something to keep the flies off it in the summer.Keep it up guys, you're doing a fantastic job!

Stylish and well laid out. Very friendly staff. The snack choices on the counter were appealing including a delicious chocolate orange vegan slice. However, the uncovered food is right next to people queuing. Couldn't the plates of goodies be covered in order to be more hygienic? I decided to proceed with buying the cake as I was caught up in trying out a new place, but would think twice next time if the food was still uncovered and so close to people at the counter. The cappuccino was really nice but I have to agree with the luke warm coffee points made by others,. Will give it all another chance but the stylish interior and lovely ambience wouldn't be enough to encourage further visits if those things cropped up again.

I tried this coffee house again this week in order to give it a fair go. Coffee very slow and only Luke warm on arrival again! Its such a shame as the coffee and cakes are really good when they actually get served on time and hot. This place is all style and atmosphere and quality but is massively let down by poor staff, will not be bothering again.

My experience at 200 Degrees has always been a largley positive one. The coffee is good and the table service is an aspect that sets them apart from other local coffee spots in the city. My only gripe is the WiFi speeds i regularly receive when visiting, the router runs on the SocialHive platform that *requires* the user to connect with 200 degrees in some form via social media (which i dont mind doing at all) but then the speeds can, in some cases, run incredibly slow, especially when its busier (which comes as no suprise) but even when its quieter the speeds seem to still suffer, which im sure many other patrons will have noticed, as the vast majority of the customers seem to be using laptops or some form of smart device during their visit. In summary: Great coffee, Great Service, WiFi needs beefing up a bit, whether that's in terms of WiFi signal or bandwidth.

Lovely art deco building that is now a chilled urban coffee shop. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly but unobtrusive staff. Vastly superior to the ubiquitous coffee chains. Good cakes, great coffee - well so I'm told I don't like it so drank tea but it looked good and the husband (who can be fussy) liked it!

A former jewellers, now part of a chain of 'micro' coffee shops, which includes the obligatory, bearded tattooed staff with aprons and attitude problems which seems to be the standard for the independent coffee shop these days. There is a nice ambiance as you enter the coffee house, but the barista does have attitude problems (must have worked in Soho's Bar Italia) but not sure how the people in Leicester will perceive this. The coffee was good, latte art as it should be. The food is well presented in the typical modern deli style; the frittata looked good but looks can be deceiving and this was truly awful. The houmous was an odd addition to top this dish which was served barely warm, and overpowered by a huge dose of garlic.Leicester is behind the curve when it comes to restaurants, and coffee shops, several coffee houses have opened in the last year, it will be interesting to see if this new style of barista coffee shop will stand the test of time.

Always a great meal, to be had here, they serve tapas if you are not too hungry, but my friend and I had the pork belly which just melted I. Your mouth, the apple sauce was a great compliment along with the vegetables. Really enjoyed this meal. Their wine selection was also worth a look. Dessert, I had the Earl Grey cake which was a chocolate infused cake, with cream on the side, not being one who always eats dessert, this was a really good ending to the meal, as it was just the right texture and sweetness for me. 10 out of 10 Leinster Bistro keep it up.

We had a lovely Saturday lunch here. It was the first time we'd been here and weren't disappointed. The food quality was delicious and freshly cooked. I had a lovely vegetarian red thai curry, which was nice'n'spicy. My fellow diners had fish and chips, which was huge (whale and chips?) and the Middlesbrough parma, all with ample portions. For real ale fans, I had a nice pint of Directors, but there was also Wainwright's Gold on tap from the Lake District.

I came in today to have a full English breakfast and I was really disappointed in the cheap ingredients. The sausages were tasteless weren’t meat. Definitely vegan stuff. The bacon or turkey not sure what it was was dry and hard. The beans were basic 50p beans, two tasteless tomatoes, mushrooms definitely from a can as well. Absolutely nothing was seasoned, so technically I paid about £10 for a breakfast I would have had for £3 at home. Other than the food, staff seems to really dislike their job, I felt scared to ask questions lol, no smile, no positive attitude, you feel like you are bothering them. There was no welcome as well and no staff came to us during to ask how the food was and if we needed anything else. I in fact was so thirsty waiting for staff to come even just near me so I could ask for water but nobody ever came. I had to go all the way to the counter. Anyways.. a lot needs to be done to sort this out. It’s clean though at least
