I have visited these tearooms on a number of occasions with family and friends. Jaqui and her team do a fantastic job taking you back in time while enjoying lovely fresh food and drinks. The atmosphere is lovely and very friendly and would certainly recommend. Keep up the good work Jaqui, you certainly make a difference to customers who visit. Thank you x

This is a lovely little cafe! We went for my mums birthday and it was brilliant. We had the afternoon tea and were waited on hand and foot! The food was lovely, my dairy intolerance and mums fish allergy were very well catered for and overall we had a fantastic experience. The staff were all lovely, the decor was fantastic and the background music really added to the feel of the place. It’s a little treasure trove and it’s even nicer that the staff were also dressed for the period! If you’re wanting to go somewhere that’s got lovely decor and lovely food, get yourself down there and enjoy the experience!

Love going here for a nice cuppa with friends. Always get a freshly made sandwich and lovely pot of tea and homemade scones served on proper china crockery. Great little themed cafe. Heard mixed things since its move to this bigger establishment. Well for us it was great. Simple menu trying to be in keeping with 1940s theme. Our sandwiches were freshly made, well presented and very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just lovely to have something just that little different from the bland chain coffee shops.

Our kids love coming here, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Set up is so well done with the little 1940s kitchen, bunker, living room - quirky and fascinates the children. We came on a Sunday so no hot food options but sandwiches etc were good. Reasonable for the price and friendly service - cakes looked lovely though we didn't get to try this time!

Another lovely lunch time meal and drinks at this unique café. The staff are always polite and attentive and cater for food allergens. The coffee was delicious - not bitter like other cafes. Panini with sides was delicious too and perfectly toasted. My husband had a toastie that was cooked just the way he requested. Prices were appropriate for the food quality and service we received. Once again I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in this wonderful time capsule!! Always greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome. Best place around for a proper cuppa poured from your own teapot, not to mention the homemade cakes!! The coffee and walnut cake is to die for!! The food comes out fresh and hot and the liver is a favourite when on the menu. High tea is full of fresh tasty sandwiches, nibbles and homemade treats that fill you up. Always gets sent home with the scone and trimmings to go with it to enjoy later as always full up!! Very friendly atmosphere staff are always happy to have a chat even when they are rushed off their feet. I love visiting this lovely cafe, it takes you back in time . If you’re lucky enough you get to buy a bag of homemade fudge but it sells quickly!! Good food, great atmosphere and will be back there again!!

The Decor is good but the food is rubbish and hugely overpriced. We had a party of 4 elderly people but were told that we couldnt share 3 afternoon teas between us but everyone had to buy a meal .. WHY ?? .. then the High Tea consisted of 4 triangle sandwiches (ie. 2 slices of bread) . some shop bought quiche fingers, a cheap shop bought cake and some shop bought squares of flapjack and brownie .. and a scone that we took home with the small sachet of cream and sachet of jam .. At £17.95 each., the best thing about the whole meal was the tea from a china pot. No home baking, nothing "special" and apart from the sandwiches , it was all bought from a supermarket. VERY DISAPPONTING.

Thank goodness I have at last visited this unique Tea Rooms.. set off the main road into Havent with parking nearby plus bus stops round the corner.. The 1940s Tea Room is just like walking back in time when you stayed or visited your Grandparents or at my age my mum had lots of things that are inside. It's decked out with everything 1940 from crockery to table clothes even Tea pots with cosies & teastrainer.. The menu is delicious from Lancaster Breakfast to Afternoon Tea & everything in-between..even the little ones can have a ration bag.. They even have an old air raid shelter where you can book to have a cosy Afternoon Tea. Food was delicious service was great & such a lovely atmosphere.. Like 1940s there is no central heating so if you feel chilly ask for blanket or staff happy to bring heater so don't complain your cold All four of us had a fabulous lunch..so hurry on down & find this little gem.. Thanks Jacquie & staff for a great lunch

I loved the atmosphere! I'm 64 and it brought back such a lot of childhood memories because my late parents had so many things in our home. The food and drinks were excellent. The cakes are HOMEMADE! I always say that homemade cakes are far nicer than factory sourced cakes and this proved no exception. I would have loved a second slice of coffee and walnut cake but I'm already overweight! My friend had a panini and enjoyed it too. Tea was loose leaf in a tea pot with strainer! None of this modern tea bag stuff! Everything in 1940's style! We visited with our Registered Assistance Dogs, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Also, they provide a ramp so I was able to get my wheelchair inside. Note that the toilet is too small to accommodate a wheelchair but there is a very good grab rail by the toilet that is very helpful. You need to be able to walk from the toilet door to the toilet to use it if you are a wheelchair user. Staff also try to be deaf aware. It's almost like having a meal in a museum! Brilliant to take children as part of a history lesson! Strongly recommend a visit. My friend lives locally so she comes here often but I live over 100 miles away. I hope to go back next time I'm the area.

I looked at this venue on line and saw their menu was very reasonably priced, nice twist and a bit different, so made the effort and met my friend there. The staff were lovely, the place is fun and unique. I'm so torn on what we ordered, I had a tuna mayo sandwich, the filling was nice and plentiful, but it was margarine on basic white cheap bread. I don't know if it was my expectation, but if ever I go out for lunch and order a sandwich I expect bloomer bread or doorstop sandwiches, I mean I could have done better at home. The price was £6.50 with a handful of crisps. I mean I was expecting the £4 it showed and still shows on their website, so if I had fresh bread I would have been happy to pay the difference. Such a shame, as I would have loved to return but solely because of the bread I won't.

First visit since they have moved across the road only to find the personal touch was left back in the old place .The decorations were great to look at and there is plenty to see. The downside was the food , we all had an high tea the sandwiches were ok but the middle plate of quiche ,sausage roll and a pin wheel were awful . The quiche was like eating flavourless rubber . The sausage roll was dry and hard to swallow and the pinwheel had no taste whatsoever . The top plate had a nice light sponge cake but as for the rest it just didn’t look very tasty and it wasn’t there was a small chunk of bread pudding and small chunk of flap Jack and a few grapes. We also had a plain scone with jam and cream which was nice . No more table service it’s all self service and payment upfront. No more little tea charms . The owner was telling off a member of staff in front of customers which was not very professional and made us feel very uncomfortable .

Had a very pleasant lunch here. Very good sandwiches and coffee served by extremely pleasant staff dressed in 40’s attire. The tea room is decorated in various 40’s memorabilia. Well worth visiting, note closed on Sundays and Mondays, but very popular so worth booking

Having been recommended this Tea Room, booked a High Tea for my Mum's 82nd Birthday.Lovely lady welcomed us and dressed the table as I told her it was a birthday treat. The place is full of war time memorabilia with lovely old songs playing in the background. We had a choice of sandwiches with crisps, quiche, cheesy biscuits, shortbread, flapjacks and iced cakes. We had to turn the scones down as we couldn't do them justice and endless pots of fresh tea.Had a good look around the bits and pieces and even the nisson huts down the end of the back garden.Memorable visit and will return.

Caught up with a friend for lunch & we decided to give this place a go. Such a great find - lots of memorabilia around the tea room to look at. We decided to go for the afternoon tea which was lovely. Great take on 1940s style afternoon tea. The scones coming out warm at the end was my favourite part! Staff really friendly & nothing was a hassle for them. Would definitely recommend this place especially to those who are interested in the 1940s.

Wow what a find! Went for lunch and had the most delicious high tea. Staff so helpful and friendly, dressed in period clothing. Atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We took our 20yr old son and he loved it there too. The owner and staff have evidently worked so very hard and have successfully achieved the most enticing tea room. A wonderful experience and we will definitely return. Thank you so much x

My mum and I went in here last week and couldn't believe it. We had always thought there was nowhere to go in the Havant area - how wrong were we!This cafe is an absolute gem, it's so quirky with really friendly staff. It seemed that they knew nearly all the customers which was such a good sign. The decor is amazing, it's just like going back in time (take a look at the photos). We had a jacket potato and a pot of tea and it was all excellent. Didn't have room for the wonderful looking cakes. I recommended it to my daughter who has already called in with her boyfriend. Will be going back again this week as it was absolutely great!

Was only able to stop for a drink but will definitely be back to sample the food and cakes they have on offer. The service was amazing even given a small charm tea pot as a lucky charm as it was our first visit.

Having previously had a good experience, my 90 year old mum and I went for lunch. We ordered prawn salads with falafel and humus from the menu. The last two items were missing on our plates, but when queried we were told that nobody ordered those so they didn't have any! We asked for an alternative and were given half a slice of bread each! I then found a hair in my salad, but when I reported this, I was told that the kitchen staff had dark hair so it wasn't theirs! I was too stunned to reply! Then I was told we couldn't expect a refund, because the hair wasn't theirs. I explained we didn't want a refund, just an apology. Never again!

Chose this eatery as it looked nice from the outside. Opted for the liver and bacon on mash potato, ample portion and cooked to perfection, very tasty, washed down with a cup of tea. Dessert was sponge and custard, lovely and more than ample custard. So impressed I took away a large piece of their quiche and a couple of cheese scones for later, also good. Great staff/service at this venue and will definitely return to try the breakfast .

A great little spot for a very good cup of coffee and a snack. Has a little group of picnic tables. The price for the coffee is reasonable.
