Place itself is pleasent and food choices appear ok. But blueberry muffin very disappointing ....heavy and dry.. That said the service was good and the place comfortable and clean.

Worst food out yet! Very POOR quality & Tiny portion. 😠 Tiny, and l mean tiny, barely warm "Sausage" sandwich made with 1 of the cheapest, Vile sausages, cut in half on the nastiest thinnest sliced white bread imaginable. And a toasted cheese & tomato sandwich with virtually NO cheese on, but slathered in margarine instead. 🤢 grim! A "glass" of orange juice that was jammed FULL of ICE and just a single mouthful of orange, literally, for £2 !!! So annoyed. What an Utter waste of money. Truly Awful.🤬 Left hungry, thirsty, slightly nauseated and ripped off. 😠 [Edit: to the owner - it was today 13th June at lunchtime. I can not believe anyone thought that was acceptable to serve to anyone!!.]

Lovely little spot for cake and tea! Very dog friendly, they offered treats and they have a separate dog menu. It’s really nice and clean, the music is a little odd, but clubby for the tone they strike.

Ham and cheese toastie are great get a large cappuccino to wash it down:-) good food good people great coffee.

Good pot of tea & a well prepared Latte. Enjoyed watching other customers eating lovely foods. Hot light meals looked delicious. Clean & a good atmosphere. Very busy mid-day. Toilets well looked after & well behaved dogs are welcome. Comfortable & good service from cheerful staff. Thank you.

The best cafe in Retford, by a mile. Dog friendly, the coffee is amazing and the food is spot on. I visit quite often with my family and by myself, and it’s always fabulous. Definitely support this local business, you won’t be disappointed!

To be honest food wasn't the best, coffee a bit tasteless. Ok at a push... but I won't go back.

The place looks fab, has a lovely feel. The staff are friendly, kitted out nicely inside, only thing that let it down on our visit was the food. We both had a full English, sausage was cheap rubbish (a footlong cut in half I think), eggs were poor, under and overcooked in placed, hashbrowns were mushy, beans were watery, bacon was really good and couldn't fault the toast. Definitely wouldn't order that again. You've got bacon's on the doorstep, go and order your meat from them and let your hasbrowns cook a few more minutes. I'm sure plenty of people have been and had a nice breakfast, just reporting as I found it.

Absolutely spot on. Brilliant food tuna and cheese panini was hot and stuffed full. Ham sandwich was full of ham and very tasty. Iced tea was large and the price was brilliant.

placed order, after 20 mins had to ask for our drinks.meal took over 30 mins to come.the meal was ok and drinks ok. clean place, they were not very busy.three young girls serving.staff did seem to be interested,nice place, but will not go again.while i waited to be served a lady got fed up waiting and walked out.

Disappointed. Not been here in a while. It used to be our weekly go to but then stopped going to town as frequently. There was only one person working and she was trying to do orders and make sandwiches. It took a while for the order to be taken. Another person arrived from a break. I ordered my one black coffee and paid but needed to wait for change. Another person ordered after me for a latte and we ended up sitting on tables next to each other. The person who ordered after got his latte and then a couple of minutes later I had a latte delivered. I had to take it back and ask for my black coffee… it was burnt and not a nice taste. If they’d been busy I’d have understood the mix up but there was only about five people. Make me question how well they’d do when they were busy.

Lovely coffee bar, friendly service, reasonably priced and well... the hot chocolate and double chocolate muffin were delicious 😋. Definitely call in again 😊

Very nice cafe one of my favourates at retford

Just been here for some lunch. Arrived at 12:50 ordered 2 Jacket potatoes, one with cheese and the other with chilli and cheese. One coffee and 1 tea. The drinks came after 5 mins but after asking five times when the food would be served, after being told each time, 2 mins or it's on it's way. We decided to ask for our money back. The owner was surly and took no responsibility for the long delay, 30 mins by this time, stating that they had a party in and were run off their feet. We had been there long before said party arrived. There were five staff working behind the counter and a lot of customers waiting for food. The 'Party' appeared to take president over the other custumers. When at last the jacket potatoes arrived, they were cold and mine still had ice inside as it had not been properly cooked. Obviously frozen spuds not even fresh and cooked properly in the restraunt oven. What a dreadful experience shall never go there again or recommend it.

Very slow service. Ordered two coffees and two jacket potatoes, they must have been growing the spuds in the garden it took about 25 minutes and they didn't bring the coffee straight away so had no drink until the food came. They only had about two other tables being used and both had been served before we came in. Plates really small so hard to eat without making a mess. A bit of salad garnish wouldn't have gone amiss and there was no butter on the potatoes. Toilets were clean and very modern. Edit was around 12.30 -1pm we were the only people who ordered hot food

Probably one of the worst cafe experiences I've ever had. Wait half hour for 2 teas and a coffee. 45 mins for food. 1 chicken & bacon salad, 1 beef pasty and 1 chicken & mushroom. Both soggy. Girls behind the counter were very pleasant though

Usually would give this 5 star but went on Saturday as we do every week and waited nearly 25 mins for coffee. I understand Gemma has left what a shame she was excellent. Never waited before at most 5 mins. I went in that often she knew what I had.

This used to be my favourite go to coffee shop until recently. The new staff seem so disinterested in their job, coffee has come cold, stale cake and charged wrong numerous times. The quality of this coffee shop has gone down hill very quickly and we will not be returning again after being loyal customers for over 3 years.

We had to go to the counter to place our order, and assumed that the staff wrote down the table where we were sitting. But no, the wondered around the dining area looking for us, and seems confused. Surely this is a very simple process??

Nice friendly staff. Really good prices perfect spot looking out on to the square with outside and inside seating. Also cyclist get a discount when visiting great for the cafe.stop on a ride. Always try and come here if i am riding through.

Just wanted to let people know what a great place this is to meet friends, eat & drink. Great collection of coffee's & other drinks, plus hot & cold food. The staff are really friendly & the place itself is spotlessly clean. It's also just become dog friendly! What more could we want??

Visited this lovely place, whilst visiting Retford for the first time in a long while, great coffee, great food great service and great value, much better than the main franchises you find just about everywhere these days, with no individuality, paying minimum wage, with no charisma

It's ok. Decent coffee. Door doesn't close properly making it a bit of a chilly experience at the time. Also the first time I have ever ordered a quiche and got precisely that - a small piece on a side plate, nothing else - just a little surprising.

Friendly polite staff, good cappuccino and lovely cheese scone and gluten free carrot cake. Nicely decorated inside. Definitely go again.

Came here for just an afternoon coffee and tea. But service here wasn't welcoming, they did not greet us when we came in and were talking with eachother. And weren't very helpful with no guidance for sugars or condiments. They delivered our drinks on a tray and did not bother to collect the tray back so it was just taking up space the whole time. Only came here because all other cafés in the town were busy

We visit this place regularly sometimes once and other times twice then occasionally not for a few weeks due to holidays and family commitments. I find the comments about the "blonde lady with tattoos very disrespectful and uncalled for! She is one person who's name I don't know but I would put her alongside Shannon and Gemma who work constantly hard and are never rude or disrespectful. We all have our bad days but this must be a slight or greater exaggeration?! Shannon and Gemma who I know more about have families and commitments but they are always there ready to serve and care for you. Shannon was duly rewarded by being promoted when the previous manager left and well deserved! I sit and wait for my wife on most occasions and see and take on board most things but the large family referred to are there most Saturdays but I have never known them to be disruptive in any way. Overall this is a family and peoples café/eatery and people from all walks of life frequent the place thus giving a nice blend of people to meet and mix. Recently I asked Shannon how many such establishment there were in Retford and she totally surprised me when she quoted in the late 20's. On top of that she mentioned that they had just been rewarded with the contract/franchise to run a café in Kings Park. Well done to Shannon and team keep up the excellent work and see you soon, thanks.

Went in on market day as normal, and as normal standard good! But! They must must check tea spoons are clean. Lately one or two have sneezed past the washer.

Service ok, terrible food ( my scone was cold and very dry, broke into small pieces when trying to spread the very cold hard butter.) Cutlery was dirty, complained and were given more dirty teaspoons. Avoiding in future.
