Chilled atmosphere, big portions and great tasting food. Lovely to look over the Mere, whilst having a meal. Welcoming to dogs and children too.

Beautiful find, lovely atmosphere and good selection of food. Addition of garden shop is a nice touch. Inside is great for the colder weather and a nice space outside for when the weather is warmer too

Despite the huge birthday party taking up the whole of the ground floor, the staff at Gilbies - and particularly our waitress Rachel - looked after the two of us wonderfully well. We were given a table up on the mezzanine floor, our drinks were brought and our order taken nice and quickly, and then the food turned up in really good time. And the food was great! A selection of delicious tapas dishes, the star of the show being the Teriyaki belly pork (we'd eaten here before, so we ordered two portions). The party downstairs was in full swing when we left, wishing the staff good luck for the rest of the evening. Another memorable meal, and we'll definitely book in at Gilbies again, next time we're down Hereford way.
