The best restaurants serving Seafood food in West Somerset South West

We ordered 2 jumbo battered sausages and 3 large portions of chips this evening (Friday). All came out piping hot, and we're delicious. There was enough staff on to deal with the Friday night queue and orders were met in a timely fashion despite being busy. Good value for money too - coming from Bristol I'd normally pay double for what I paid this evening! Can't complain about that! I'd recommend this fish and chip shop 100%.

Spent one night in Porlock, came here as looked inviting and the reviews were positive. Had a lovely pie meal on a freezing day, fresh food cooked to order. Lovely beef and horseradish pie, packed full, crunchy veg and generous helping of gravy... accompanied by a great glass of merlot. Really enjoyed my meal and appreciated the warm welcome after a long journey. Thank you!

Whilst the surroundings are lovely and I want to give a good review, sadly I can't. I ordered the baguette with mozzarella, pesto and tomato. I expected a light meal. What I got was a torpedo shaped cannonball, wholemeal and dry as a bone, not even toasted, no butter and completely incompatible with the filling. The apricot cake I had was just as leaden. I think both were made with their own flour from the mill. Completely unsuited and I left almost all of it. Please reassess your use of this. I also found a big, dark curly hair in my coleslaw! Very sad as previous visits have been lovely.
