Used this restaurant and takeaway a few times and the fish and chips are always very fresh and excellent. Service with a smile

Actually The Catch is definitely not a good catch! My large fish was small & the chips warm & wiry. Expensive & poor value for money - if you do happen to catch this one - just let it go & it will be good for your Sole!

Long time to wait for food due to there being one guy taking orders and one doing the food cooking and handing out the orders. Lots of people hanging around by the hatch making it difficult to get through when your number is called, they could do with asking people to stand and wait elsewhere. When our food did arrive one of the orders was wrong although I queried this immediately and was given an immediate cash refund. Chips were nice, not at all greasy although there were rather a lot for one portion with the fish! Perhaps a bit too much batter on the fish also.

I would never buy fish here as it never looks particularly fresh but each to their own. What is astonishing is that they’re charging £1.50 for a small bag of crab bait consisting of bits of mackerel guts and head - you know the stuff you throw away. So £1.50 pure profit taking it from small children or obviously their parents. Says a lot in my view - none of it good!
