The best restaurants serving Seafood food in Merton London

Freshly cooked fish and chips nothing frozen. Best for miles. Still the best. I go every Friday, it's still the best for miles around. Yep, been again, spot on. Being on first name terms with the proprietor, I'm sure helps. Still the best for miles.

What a mistake it was coming here, come in ordered a saveloy and chips for £7 and some change it was the worst saveloy I have ever had in my life was so soggy you could almost push a finger through it without any real pressure, the taste was revolting l immediately spat it out. the chips were ok but could tell they were cooked in old oil as lots of black specs were on them. So as a whole payed £7 something for chips and a Dr Pepper what a disgrace charging premium prices for the cheapest food is just a poor thing to do will never be coming back. Also if you like loads of vinegar on your chips don’t come here as you will not be getting that lol…

Waited over 30mins for a takeaway to get home to 3 cod and chip that was smothered in grease soft soggy batter on cod all chips soft and sloppy chips. Gherkins missing, mushy peas was not even hot. And considering I spent over £50 i was so disappointed. Will never go bk or recommend it even to someone with no teeth and taste buds. 9 years ago I came here and it was the best around. Such a shame

Tend to think we have a monopoly on the best chippies up north, but this one is really, really good! Good sized portions and excellent quality cod. A bit pricey, but well worth it for the quality of fare provided.

Excellent food and great service with a smile. We had Lamb donor, chicken sheesh, kofte, fish and chips. Large order at a busy time and they coped magnificently. All the orders were spot on and will always go back for more. Great portions too.

Excellent party venue!!!. We had our wedding here 06th September 2024 and it was absolutely perfect. The setting looked magical, a historical building dating back to the era of William Morris and Liberty designs that we all still love today. The rooms with exposed brickwork lit by fairy lights and candles...with beautiful outside areas to sit and enjoy on the banks of the river wandle, Abbey Mills a truly hidden gem. The owners John and KC were beyond amazing both with planning and the food was perfect. We had a 3 course carvery dinner and homemade buffet in the eve. All guests were impressed at the quality of the food and the beautiful setting, we had 3 rooms, the main room with seating, dancefloor and dj, the cafe for the buffet and a quieter area to chat, and the conservatory as a games room with pool table, cocktails and alcoholic slushies. Please take a look at the Watermill for any parties or events you are hosting. We comfortably sat 50 daytime guests and increased to 100 in the eve with room for a dj and dance floor. The venue can host more guests if needed. We had the perfect wedding day thanks to the hard work of all the team at the Watermill. Thank you all so much. Karen x
