We love this chippie! From the quality of the fish to the prices (£19 for 2 large Cod and 1 large chips... half what others charge) and the down-to-earth crumpled menu. The only issue is opening times, but this is a family run business.

Have been getting a takeaway from here for years. They always welcome you warmly. The food is fresh and hot and always tasty. There batter is just right not to much and always crispy.

Run by a friendly and kind husband and wife team, this fish & chip shop sells great food. The fish in batter is always crisp and tasty, whilst the chips are delicious, as are the mushy peas. Fish and chip shops are disappearing, so go visit and don't let this one disappear too.

A little gem! Reasonably priced with generous portions. We always have cod and chips, which are so fresh, it's a pleasure to eat. Lovely, happy lady serving always remembers her customers' names. Her husband cooks the food to perfection and can phone your order in for a swift collection. CASH ONLY. There is an atm machine close to shop, a couple of doors away.

This is without a doubt the best fish and chip shop in the area. Food is great, cooked to order and very reasonably priced. Great portions. Lovely husband and wife team. May is happy to take telephone orders for collection.

Fantastic chippy!!! Food cooked to perfection, great prices and friendly owners - this is the only chippy I've found south of the M62 which does properly good "chippy food", and I've studied hard over many years. :-D

Seriously the best fish and chips ever. We love going to the Lucky Fish Bar and have been for years - always top quality food. I always have fish & chips - it is a very generous portion size. The mushy peas and curry sauce are also nice. They also do a veggie saysage option but yet to try that. The fish cakes are good too! So lots of options. We usually ring in advance to order then pick up. The staff are brilliant and friendly. Thanks for everything!

Never had a bad takeaway from this venue. Rock Salmon was superb, along with a huge abundance of Regular Chips which are sufficient for two people. Very pleasant end to the day.

Wow. Just grabbed a small bag of chips at the Lucky fish bar... not so small. Not only great chips but great service. When they added the salt and vinegar it was added in stages so all chips tasted as good. Place looks spotless and the service had a real personal touch. The fish they cooked for another customer looked wonderful to, again huge portion. Thank you

2 very large cod, 1 very very large chips, jumbo sausage in batter, curry sauce and a can of drink £19.60. Excellent food, good value. I live in Cornwall where we pride ourselves on having loads of excellent fish n chip shops. This was as good as anything I’ve had in Cornwall. Well done and His Lordship gives you 5 stars.

Yet again, a fine fine takeaway from this splendid establishment. Service always quick and decent. Everything done within 7-10 minutes. Rock Salmon was totally superb. Chips were very good. Really pleasant indeed.

Superb takeaway of Rock and chips, prior to a night in viewing ‘Frasier’ episodes on DVD. This place really is exceptional - I only started frequenting it, post-Lockdown. Nice friendly staff, and quick service. Really good indeed.

After a frustrating and irritating day of work in London (constant procrastination about rotas), plus a 14th check for the virus, since April, I needed a cheering up, so I decided to get a takeaway here, with a colleague, and sit in the nearby Rec, whilst eating it. This is an exceptional location in which to procure traditional fish and chips. The Rock Salmon has always been superb - and, once again, today, it was very good indeed. Fried and battered to perfection. Colleague had Scampi - which I’ve had before, and she thought was excellent. Chips, were as always, very good - and come in huge portions.

It was a pleasure departing London, after having to endure two full weeks of being called ‘Jack Traven’ by work colleagues, after a self-haircut, two Mondays back. Conversely, I no longer looked like I had a pine tree on my head!Fifth time I’ve stopped off here in the last 5-6 weeks.No delivery, but you can phone ahead to order. Staff very friendly and service is quick.The Rock Salmon, and fish cakes are both excellent.Chips come in a huge amount - even if ordering small/regular! They’re also very good.Prices are atypical of fish and chips in this region, and are thus, a totally reasonable price, indeed.Really, very good indeed.

I had been recommended this by a mate, living locally, who had told me, earlier in the day, how good this place is.....and he was NOT wrong!The Rock Salmon was perfectly cooked - and they’d even removed that lone, gelatinous bone from it, which I hadn’t asked them to do, but had anyway. Superb preparation!Fishcake was superb, and the chips were absolutely spot on!I cannot say something unrealistic or hyperbolic like - ‘this is the best fish and chips in the country’ because no-one has eaten at every chippy. However...I can honestly say - these are the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten from all the chippies in North Surrey/South London, which I have visited.

We have been to the lucky fish at Motspur Park many times and we have never had a complaint. The size of the cod is massive and a great portion of chips. Always very fresh. Family members also travel to use this fish shop as their local doesn’t measure up! :)

Located close to the station. Quality of chips not moorish enough for me. I would recommend going to the fish bar at Coome Lane or Grand Drive.

Best fish and chips . Better than the Ivy which I gave 1 star to. Always have fish and chips wherever we go . My mother has been going here since the lovely couple opened it, goodness knows how long . But their little children are grown now !! Never ever lets you down . Everything cooked fresh . Reasonable prices . Wonderful service . I wish they would move to Stockbridge where we live . Try it , they take phone orders . You won’t be disappointed .

Francamente, es el mejor fish and chips jamás! De hecho, no vayas a ningún otro sitio, porque el resto es decepcionante en comparación. La gente que lo lleva son encantadores. El pescado es siempre super fresco y cocinado a la perfección. El bateador nunca es pasada. Puedes llamar a tu pedido y lo recoja 10 minutos después. Las raciones son enormes (2 grandes y 1 pequeñas cod, con 1 chips grandes, para una familia de 5, así que es una excelente relación calidad-precio). Muy concurrida en un viernes, así que tendrá que esperar un tiempo si sólo a pie. Bien vale la pena!

Los Peces Lucky Bar es una joya! El personal es encantador y todo es fresco, así que sí, usted podría tener que esperar 10 minutos, pero créanme que vale la pena. The chips are just so good and portion sizes are so generous. Definitely best I've had in London, and the price is so reasonable. I am a vegetarian and they do a few options which is great - veggie burger is very tasty. Definitely recommend!!!

we regularly get our fish and chips from the Lucky Fish as the fresh fish is cooked while while you wait and the batter is crisp, never soggy. The chips are thick and have good flavour and do not taste like they have been cooked in stale oil, which you get with some chip shops. The queues for service are testament to the value and quality, as most customers are regulars. The prices are very reasonable as the portions are large, and the friendly Chinese couple work quickly and efficiently to prepare and seve the food. We love the Lucky Fish! Don't wait till Friday....try them today. They are just opposite Motspur Park train station.
