The best restaurants serving Scottish food in Highland Highlands and Islands

Still a favourite place to stop for a bite to eat when I am passing through or stopping in Inverness. Friendly and cosy.

Reasonably priced, conventional Pay and Display (ticket) parking (not ANPR parking mangement which makes a nice change). Knowledgeable staff in visitors centre to advise you on your trip up Ben Nevis. Café and toilets available.

I had a baked potato with tuna(good) and salad (good)The potato itself had barely been warmed up; some parts of itwere at room temerature.When I asked for extra salt and pepper I was given by a surly waiter one tiny portion of each.I shan't go here again.

We came here with high hopes only to be disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t cleaned properly same with your drinking glasses, … We were with a lot who ordered many different things and no one finished there plate. The presentation was wack the food was dry or to watery. The curry looked absolutely horrendous. They weren’t even sure if it was supposed to look like that. There was a mix up also so our food came seperate over a time span off around 30 minutes. We didn’t stay in the hotel so that might be ok but certainly DO NOT come for the food it sucks.

A lovely place to grab a drink and a light bite. My husband and I stopped to get cappuccinos and a piece of cake to go and both were delicious. We were hesitant to stop because of prior negative reviews, but our experience was perfect. Although staffed by only one individual, she smiled and greeted us while busily making custom drinks and efficiently filling food orders for a long line of expectant customers. Conveniently located with clean bathrooms, I would not hesitate to return to this charmingly decorated establishment. Adding a staff member would address all previously posted reviews.
