The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Ards South Eastern NI

Visited this morning for breakfast with the family and it was absolutely amazing. The mini fry and the big fry were absolutely delicious. Great quality fresh produce, great portions and friendly staff serving you. 100% we will be back. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.

I am reveiwing this as this site gives no option to edit after a review is posted and no way to reply to the message left to the owner...which effectively gives them the last word. I mistakenly mentioned a ravioli dish I had when in fact it was tortellini. Very similar pastas but nonethelss, the issue was the sauce which was gloppy and gooey no matter what pasta it was served on as well as being piled high with unnecessary greens which do not belong on a pasta dish like this. Worse though is a owner who does not keep their property clean and in repair. Sagging, dirty seats where we sat as well as a toilet that needs cleaning and updating. This eatery is busy with enough customers so that the owner obviously doesn't feel the need to keep the property in good conditon. The servers were fine, they can't help what comes out of the kitchen and God knows what that kitchen looks like.

I have dined here twice, once for a family meal and also for a birthday breakfast. On each occasion the service was excellent with a varied menu to suit most tastes. It is not expensive and the food is excellent.

Loved the food and the atmosphere.

Came across here by chance and what a delight. There's a great selection of choices for gluten-free and veggie/vegan diners. The food was delicious and presented really nicely. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. It's also worth nothing that the portions are very generous - we went for the 3 course Sunday lunch and didn't expect such a big feeding!

Want a change of menu? Had Chinese, Indian, Italian, and all the local food? Well what about Dutch? A very interesting and different menu for any meal. Generous helpings of quality food, in Netherlands style; and served by friendly people who give the customer attention and the young waitress who served us was exceedingly nice too. The tray bakes were also delightful, as well as the cooked food. I recommend trying this interesting place for a change; and probably, like me, and those I was with, you will want to return again, and try some other delightful items on the menu.

This is the second occasion on which I’ve booked poachers pocket to celebrate a milestone birthday/anniversary and it did not disappoint once again - we were a party of 16 and my only negative point would be that as our table wasn’t ready we had to wait in the bar which in itself isn’t an issue but it was very very busy with no where to sit and barely room to stand and we had some elderly people in our party - however this is a minor point considering everything else . Despite the size of our party everyone’s food arrived at the same time and was piping hot - food was delicious- couldn’t be faulted in any way - the service was impeccable- the young staff are a credit to the restaurant- helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble- the manager who’s name I didn’t get was fantastic- she went over and above to make sure we were looked after - we will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Delicious food in huge portions. An enticing menu, with the seafood options being particularly delicious. Lovely decor and atmosphere overall.
