Visited this morning for breakfast with the family and it was absolutely amazing. The mini fry and the big fry were absolutely delicious. Great quality fresh produce, great portions and friendly staff serving you. 100% we will be back. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.

Very disappointing when visiting Georgian House today. Initial greeting left a lot to be desired - chair at table wet and pushed into a corner. Asked to move and waitress had no time for us as doing orders elsewhere. We moved and were then ignored so we left and said waitress ignored us. Difficult writing this when we are regulars and come 2/3 times a month but never again. Attitude very poor.

Came across here by chance and what a delight. There's a great selection of choices for gluten-free and veggie/vegan diners. The food was delicious and presented really nicely. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. It's also worth nothing that the portions are very generous - we went for the 3 course Sunday lunch and didn't expect such a big feeding!

Excellent food and staff pleasant and professional. View of TV for rugby at all tables in the bar. Always a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Their attention to detail and exceptional service were second to none. The venue itself is stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. The food was exquisite, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. Every aspect of the day was flawlessly executed, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. Can’t say enough about this fantastic little gem. Dined here a few weeks ago with friends and had a wonderful whole Dover sole, cooked to perfection. We decided that we would like to come back and try one of Roy’s tasting menus and we were not disappointed. We had six totally delicious Indian themed courses each one cooked authentically and to perfection and served in a really creative way. The service was excellent with just enough time in between to enjoy each course. Roy, who does all the cooking to order, is really passionate about his restaurant and his choice of menus ,and Julie , front of house is so welcoming and friendly , they do make a great team. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of our food as I was focused solely on savouring the meal. Thanks to Roy and Julie for a really lovely evening.

We came here for dinner because we wanted some good pub grub and this was very good. My wife had the goats cheese bon bons for her starter, I didn't have a starter. The 3 bon bons were served with a red onion jam, red pepper relish and a small salad. They were very tasty. My wife chose the chicken stack for her main course, while I had the creamy steak Alfredo served with penne pasta. My dish had plenty of tender steak, with chunks of mushroom and a large slice of garlic ciabatta. This was very filling and I couldn't eat all of it. The chicken stack had a large, butterflied, crispy chicken fillet, scallion mash, a brandy and black peppercorn sauce with a cheese and bacon melt. This was very good. We had ordered a French merlot wine which was replaced with a Chilean merlot at a similar price. The wine was "soft" with enough body to cope with both dishes

Want a change of menu? Had Chinese, Indian, Italian, and all the local food? Well what about Dutch? A very interesting and different menu for any meal. Generous helpings of quality food, in Netherlands style; and served by friendly people who give the customer attention and the young waitress who served us was exceedingly nice too. The tray bakes were also delightful, as well as the cooked food. I recommend trying this interesting place for a change; and probably, like me, and those I was with, you will want to return again, and try some other delightful items on the menu.

We had family visiting from Canada and booked Copper for 9 June 2022, it was a fabulous meal from start to finish. Service was excellent and so cheerful. Steak & lobster surf & turf outstanding, in fact all the meal was for all 8 of us. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back

This time as I have in the past I took a dinner take away. I love the whole spuds, which other places fail to do. With a slice of home made mince pie and cabbage it was healthy and wholesome. Three spuds bulked it up and I added butter instead of gravy. Really was so tasty and home cooking taste. Took a cappuccino and a couple of choccy mallows to sit in first. Always recommend this spot.

This is the second occasion on which I’ve booked poachers pocket to celebrate a milestone birthday/anniversary and it did not disappoint once again - we were a party of 16 and my only negative point would be that as our table wasn’t ready we had to wait in the bar which in itself isn’t an issue but it was very very busy with no where to sit and barely room to stand and we had some elderly people in our party - however this is a minor point considering everything else . Despite the size of our party everyone’s food arrived at the same time and was piping hot - food was delicious- couldn’t be faulted in any way - the service was impeccable- the young staff are a credit to the restaurant- helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble- the manager who’s name I didn’t get was fantastic- she went over and above to make sure we were looked after - we will definitely be back and highly recommend!
