¡El mejor café de Covent Garden por un kilómetro de campo! El desayuno inglés de madrugada representa un gran valor y también las focaccias apretadas con una gama de rellenos que ponen en vergüenza los establecimientos de cadena que dominan la zona.

Despite lock down, Sid's Cafe is open for take-aways. I stopped by for a cup of his really good coffee to go. I purchased a mixture of treats - rocky road bars, granola bars and brownies. My son works in the A&E at St.Peters Hospital and took Sid's baking in to share with his colleagues. The busy staff in the A&E were delighted! I highly recommend visiting Sid's Cafe - buy a treat for someone!!!

Excellent fish and chip night Thursday evening. Very busy and we had to wait a bit for our meal but it was fantastic and the landlord and landlady were lovely.

What a fabulous find! I took my elderly parents here (Dad’s in a wheelchair) and my kids for lunch. Rui came straight out to help Dad out of his wheelchair and up the 2 steps and to his table. Mum and I went in to choose food and he showed us round and told us all about all the Portuguese food and bakes etc he makes on site. Everyone ordered different toasties which they said were delicious. I am GF & DF so ordered a prawn mayo salad which Rui did Portuguese style chopped finely with a lovely dressing. We sat outside on the covered area watching the world go by and felt like we were on holiday! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately there are no longer any free-from offerings. It's such a shame as my family used to really enjoy cakes from here. Many successful eateries just don't label their products vegan or gluten-free and they sell really well. Those of us with dietary requirements will ask what's suitable for us anyway...offering one free-from GF option shouldn't be too hard in 2022.

We booked a family tea party here for 14 people and 7 young children to celebrate a 90 th birthday in our family taking over the cafe for the afternoon .Making the arrangements with Rebecca beforehand was straightforward and she kindly adapted our food to meet the needs of the group .They were particularly careful to look after the person in our group with an allergy. The food was plentiful, varied, delicious and freshly made -all served with a smile .We had a fantastic afternoon and we could not have been looked after better

Back in Bovey Tracey after two years. At first disappointed that the coffee wagon was no longer in the Co-op car park but minutes later discovered the sign on the main street and delighted to find it was the same business in a simple welcoming shop space but equipped to make a good range of coffee and hot drinks and selling a tasty complementary selection of pastries etc. Some stools and bench shelves. They also have an arrangement for punters to use the abutting courtyard at the back of the cheese shop next door. Dogs are welcome in both spaces and water and treats freely available. We liked this hospitable and welcoming friendly cafe. All the better because so few places are open in BT on a Monday. Happy to recommend.

Booked this venue for my mam and dads Diamond Wedding Anniversary and it was excellent. Buffet was amazing lots of choice to suit people’s different tastes and drinks were a reasonable price also. Couldn’t fault it at all .

Lovely little place with - as the name suggests - a Saturday afternoon pianist. Service great but delivery a bit disappointing - rose we ordered not available, beer again not available but alternatives provided with no fuss. Food however not so brilliant - sourdough streaky bacon sandwich was all bread - needed thinner bread or more bacon: quiche of the day had virtually no bacon at all or no filling that I could taste but the main issue was it was served absolutely boiling hot - I burnt my mouth so had obviously been put in microwave creating a soggy bottom - not so good. So very very many cafes in Saffron Walden to choose from not sure we’d go back again sorry.

We had a lovely hot chocolate at Riley's on the Rows. It had an unspecified nutty flavour but was very pleasant. The decor inside is very British. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, there were some stacked chairs and a bit of a mess, which would have benefited from a bit of tidying up. The table wasn't clean and there was also a smell of cigarettes in the room due to the smoking area not being closed.

So, I’ve been here twice in the last couple of weeks. Once in the run up to Christmas and then today January 2nd. What a gem of a place this is. Ashford is full of cafes but other than Elle & Fee I really wouldn’t want to eat in any of them. I’ve had a full English breakfast and coffee on both occasions - once with two friends and today, with my wife. The food and service has been consistently excellent. Every ingredient of my breakfast was of the highest quality. It was well cooked and the portions were generous. I can’t wait to come back.

The only thing letting The Fiend down is it is cold. It’s a large venue to heat I’m sure but we had to leave and go to another pub as it just wasn’t warm, cosy and homely 🙁 which is what you want. Lovely beer though.

Today myself and my family visited The Kernow Lounge for the first time and what a delight it was. When we arrived Robin the owner welcomed us with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. First impressions of the coffee shop were what a cute little place this is especially the greeting from the resident dog who is just adorable and so friendly. There were lots of things to look at around the shop including hand made items made by residents of millbrook which customers can buy which I thought was a great addition, especially as these items were bright and colourful. Looking at the menu board and cake counter there was lots of choice. I chose a latte which was just so creamy and smooth (I’m quite fussy with my coffee), my son had a strawberry milkshake which was topped with cream and marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles which again was just delicious (I had to also give it the taste test)! My other son had a tub of vanilla ice cream which was by roskilleys and it was a generous sized scoop of it! Myself and my husband wanted to try the cake selection so ordered a piece of the chocolate brownie and a yoghurt topped raspberry flapjack slice which he said was just stunning. The chocolate brownie was so gooey and moist which is how I think brownies should be so that went down a treat! The portion sizes were really generous too. We sat outside which was lovely especially as the sun was shining and it was a warm afternoon. We really enjoyed our visit to the Kernow Lounge today and combined it with a lovely walk around a beautiful lake which also had a fantastic play park and skate park for the children. It really makes a brilliant family outing as there is something for the whole family to do. My boys have already told us what they are having next time so they clearly enjoyed themselves. Thanks to the Kernow Lounge for some lovely treats today, we will be back very soon.
