Magpies is a brilliant cafe. The food and coffee is amazing, especially the scones. It is so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We would highly recommend it.

I bought to take away, their GF churros with chocolate dipping sauce. OMG it was so so good. In the end I ate it all and went without dinner. As a coeliac I usually get offered chocolate brownies, a meringue, a flapjack or lemon drizzle cake. Everywhere! If I’m lucky. This was such a treat. Thank you Toucan.

Enjoyed a superb all day breakfast for lunch! It was freshly cooked whilst we waited, so it was nice and hot when we tucked in, rather than warm. Also served with fresh toast. We didn't need to eat again that day! Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back when in the area.

Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. Great coffee and lovely choice of cakes and light snacks. Not an extensive menu but great for what we wanted. Huge breakfast baps with choice of fillings - delicious. Pasties/jackets etc. Very friendly service. No tables outside but was lovely on a beautiful sunny day to sit on the public benches and admire the harbour view. Much nicer than being in the better of town. Will definitely retire when next visiting.
