The Harbour Cafe Minehead in West Somerset

Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. Great coffee and lovely choice of cakes and light snacks. Not an extensive menu but great for what we wanted. Huge breakfast baps with choice of fillings - delicious. Pasties/jackets etc. Very friendly service. No tables outside but was lovely on a beautiful sunny day to sit on the public benches and admire the harbour view. Much nicer than being in the better of town. Will definitely retire when next visiting.

Fantastic little cafe on the harbour. I only had a coffee (flat white - milk alternatives available at no extra cost) which was perfect. But a wonderful array of cakes and savoury snacks, as well as proper ice cream (dairy only), also available. A little gem of a place, well worth the walk!

We called in for a drink in the late afternoon, very close to closing time. That didn't matter, though, because the friendly staff were still happy to serve us and, as my wife does not have dairy milk and as they had run out of soya, a member of staff was sent to get some. Now that is what I call customer service! The drinks were tasty too and there's great views of Minehead Harbour.

Great little home style cafe.excellent food and service, great prices. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of seating with great views over harbour.

The best, tastiest pasties and sausage rolls I've had in a long long time. The chicken and leek was delicious ... fair pricing to boot makes this establishment a great little find !

Lovely little cafe. Bought a takeaway black coffee but unfortunately found it so bitter I had to throw it away and my friend didn't like his either although he did drink his.

I do love a great cafe, so whilst at Minehead Harbour along with the boss of the family, I dropped into The Harbour Cafe. It was a very clean place and as soon as we entered we were greeted with a smile from Rosie. The cake was gorgeous. Biscoff and Victoria sponge. Coffee was served with a smile. It was a lovely day, and the view of the harbour was amazing. Thank you Rosie, it was a lovely cuppa and cake. Definitely will be dropping in again. Xx

Best coffee I’ve had in Somerset :) The pasties and huge sausage roll were great too. I recommend the short walk to the harbour to get a coffee here.

We stopped here for a pot of tea and a coffee, with no expectations as we'd just stumbled across it on a walk, but so glad we did. I had a flat white that was perfect, and served in a lovely decent sized mug. My partner had a pot of breakfast tea which he said was really nice. The chap who served us was really welcoming and clearly took pride in serving up drinks that people would enjoy. Great customer service, perfect drinks and an idyllic setting, couldn't ask for more. Called in for some drinks and a pastry after a walk to the harbour. Lovely little cafe with a great view. Excellent customer service which a lot of places could learn from. The guy running it was very welcoming and friendly. Coffee was very tasty and the tea served in proper china cups and saucers. Pastry was fresh and warm. Nice selection of pastries, pasty’s and freshly made sandwiches. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely food, all cooked fresh and tastes amazing! nothing to much trouble great service and very friendly would definitely recommend and definitely be coming back again

If you want a lovely cup of tea or coffee, freshly made in a china mug, and served by a very welcoming and personable young man then visit Harbour Cafe...you won't be disappointed! You deserve to succeed!

I called in with two friends on a day trip to Minehead. The owner was very pleasant and welcomed customers as they arrived and chatted while dealing with everyone. The coffees arrived in a china mug, a nice change to paper cups! Considering he was managing everything himself, it was a pleasant visit and wouldn't hesitate going there again. Thank you.

Called in when visiting the harbour. Beautiful ice-cream's for us and a doggy ice-cream for our pooch. My daughter was served by a very welcoming and pleasant gentleman. There's ample seating inside and out. The premises are very clean, items available are on a blackboard with clear pricing. I inadvertently dropped my mobile outside and didn't realise until we had almost reached Minehead town centre so I doubled back to see if it had been handed in. The gentleman said that at he'd seen it when he went ouside the premises and that it was all intact. I was so grateful for his honestly and integrity as there was money in the wallet side. My daughter and I had agreed that we would revisit the same cafe if we were in the vicinity again before I realised that my phone was missing. I thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Lovely cafe. Really friendly; definitely service with a smile. And, even better……dog friendly. The Latte(s) were delicious and excellent value. After we’d finished our coffees, the dogs also had the treat of mint flavoured dog ice-cream. We will definitely be visiting again :-)

Great view over the harbour ,very friendly staff, lovely coffee with oat milk and lovely cake to go with it, always stop off here after coming down on the steam train.

Best coffee shop in Minehead by miles. Very friendly manager and dog friendly Why would you want to go anywhere else.

Today's coffee tasted like instant and quite weak. Eats there have always been of a good standard though. Recent refurbishment of windows closed the cafe just at the start of 2022 summer hols.!!! Nice venue, perfect views over harbour best when tide is in so the silt is covered. Butlins tent in distance. There is a reasonable amount of car parking at the end of the road or along the sea front , standard council prices. Get a crabbing line while you are there or take a trip out to Porlock on one of the tour boats. (Tide in times only) Minehead needs more tourist attractions and fresh litter bins along the sea wall.

One of the worst breakfasts we’ve had. Ordered a bap with bacon. Got ciabatta instead. Dry. Cheese and pickle sandwich. Dry. Stale bread. Crap selection. AVOID.

We stopped her Sunday to get out of the sun and relax. It was a nice place to relax and stop Coffee was nice too

This is a lovely little cafe. Plenty of outdoor seating. Very friendly and a lovely view of the harbour. Had a bacon cob and it was very good.

A great place to sit outside and take in the coastal views whilst chatting with the locals and other holiday makers. The majority of us had dogs and felt at ease. Hubby recommends the bacon butties which are well filled!

Great cream tea for £4.50 well worth it. Service excellent and they didn't t mind swapping jam for lemon curd or the tea for a coffee

Stopped in here after a walk from our holiday apartment to the harbour. Staff were very friendly. My daughters had the most delicious flavoured ice creams and I had a cup of tea. Am going to call again just for the ice cream haha

Once again went to harbour cafe,husband had bubble&squeak,I had fruit scones it was lush,owners are very friendly would recommend to all,

Went with friends bacan sandwich, s are fan plenty of bacon,salad lovely and fresh owners are very lovely and friendly would recommended to visit

Called in for a snack whilst in Minehead on holiday in September, great choice of home made cakes and sandwiches and a fabulous range of ice creams, the salted caramel is gorgeous, lovely location, right on the harbour.

Sat outside in sun, had cups of tea , noticed someone else had a pot, so made mental note for next time! Have to say the scones, served warm were lovely, full of fruit and melted in the mouth

We called in for some local delicious ice cream after a walk in the sun through the woods nearby, the salted caramel ice cream is amazing, had to call a few times for it during our stay,lol.

Coffee machine was out of order so the only coffee available was filter. No sparkling water, only still. Pub next door supplied coffee at half the price in the same location.

Being local often visit for bacon sandwich and coffee after dog walking. Great view of harbour and sea. Coffee cake and bacon sandwiches great value

Very pleasant staff and a good spot for tea and a sandwich. We found the staff to be very pleasant and enjoyed watching the world go by.

we both had fish and chips, wasn't very nice at all. the staff were miserable and the prices were steep. i wouldn't recommend

Excellent location. Good mugs of T and homemade cheese scones. Add in the view and sun. Doesn't get much better. The owner originates from our home area and was very friendly. If wandering along the sea front would suggest you pop in.
