In Ilchester for a car service and dropped into the Ilchester Arms for breakfast. They weren't cooking at the time but they made a Bacon sandwich for me anyway ❤️ Really very good of them, friendly service that you remember. Thanks !!

Food was disgusting lasagne was burnt, ours and another customer sent it back staff don't know what drinks they have, long wait despite pre ordering will not return... just to add to make things clear as you seem to try and blame me for wanting decent food conversation ..... asked do you have pineapple juice No Do you have orange juice What do you mean don't think,so we've got cordial OK I'll have a white wine have you got chardonnay Erm don't think so we've got pinot OK I'll have that please Food comes out lasagne Excuse me this is burnt looks ,tastes and smells burnt, can't eat that, met with erm OK I'll tell them and walked off leaving it behind had to ask someone else to remove it. Unfortuantly I can't find anywhere to upload picture of said meal but posted on face book to be met with what is that supposed to be even the couple on the other table left there lasagne and beef dinner burnt and tough I give credit where due I've been in the trade and my advice retraining for front off house staff and definitely for who ever was attempting to cook Like I said we won't be back

Excellent choice of menu, what we ordered came out piping hot Excellent service, we stayed two evenings, the restaurant was quite busy, our accommodation was at the rear of the pub chalet type.

Went a few weeks ago as I had heard they had changed hands recently and I used to frequent the pub when I lived in Ilchester. There was a good crowd in, a selection of guest Ales that I was told change every week and a warm welcome. That night they had a karaoke night on and the host Hannah really got everyone going, made everyone feel included and accepting of all abilities 10/10 would recommend going to the next one!

The landlady of this pub is extremely rude and a really nasty person! I parked in this pubs car park as I was attending an event close by and couldn’t find any parking anywhere. I unfortunately missed a sign reading patrons only to park here as it was dark and there was no light above it. I wasn’t expecting to be parked there long and was planning on popping in there for a drink afterwards. Unfortunately the event ran on for longer than I had thought it would and as I have my young daughter with me, I didn’t have time to pop in there as I had to get her home. The landlady blocked the car park exit and started shouting abuse at me through my window. When I opened the window and thanked her for allowing me to park there and apologise for not seeing the sign she called me a s**g and a b***h. My daughter was upset about this and was scared of the woman shouting abuse! I am absolutely appalled by the behaviour this woman displayed. I will now never visit this establishment and will be taking it further. There was absolutely no reason for this disgusting and intimidating behaviour and I’m surprised ratings aren’t lower for this pub.

Absolutely brilliant. Two other friends came with us and that was no problem. The food was excellent. Great starters, a good size, well presented and delicious. Main meals were also excellent, the liver was gorgeous, very tender. The cod was a good size and perfectly cooked. Desserts were also spot on, a lovely cheese board as well. The service was also spot on, friendly and helpful. Five out of five from us.
