I was going to write a review anyway because I was very impressed however my kids were bugging me to write one straight away to say Thankyou and say how much of a fab time they had! The staff made them very welcome and feel safe, itâs the little things like that which make your day! Thankyou so much, my kids had the best time and wonât stop talking about their breakfast!

Made to feel welcome by Tony the owner just before the England game. Peroni on draft & quality cocktails. Free snacks at half time and amazing atmosphere. Will most definitely be back. Thank you so much. Mark & Jane

Made booking for dinner on website last night for tonght . Got confirmationof booking this morning. . Arrived there. Got jumped at the bar first off, then announced we had a table booked for 8pm. Girl behind bar asked 'do we not know about the food situation?'. Obviously not!! They had no chef! She asked when we had booked, so I told her. She offered no explanation! She did how ever offer that we could order from the chip shop or Chinese next door and eat it in there! Not quite what we had planned. Why were we not informed by email or phone? Eventually found somewhere else to eat.

A great selection of ice-cream to be had. Well worth the train journey from the other end just to get one of these. They have 56 different flavours of Ice Cream. It is very popular, so can get busy, but it is worth it.

Extremely disappointed with this bar / restaurant. They are advertising on their website and on a large blackboard behind the bar that they have a daily Happy Hour for cocktail. Upon arrival and asking for a cocktail the bar manager without any sense of apology informed us that they were not doing Happy Hours or had cocktails. Strange when the bar was fully stocked with every spirit possible. Their prices were on the high side for drinks, the bar had zero atmosphere and unfriendly staff. Do not waste your time driving or walking to the ends of Hayling Island. Without doubt misrepresenting what they sell and their services.

We ate in this restaurant twice during our two night stay. On the first evening we were advised that the dishes we wanted on the menu were sold out. It was only 8pm so we were surprised by this. There were three mains off. The lamb, the beef and the chilli, which were our top three choices. We ended up ordering meals that werenât quite what we fancied. As we were waiting for our food, the Waitering staff sprayed down the tables around us and started setting up the room for breakfast. Again, at 8pm we were hardly eating late, and this created an unsettling âspritz, wipe, clang and clashâ around us, as marmalades were placed out, and cereals. It was very off putting and certainly put a stop on any specialness that could have been enjoyed in our evening. The food that arrived was ok, not terrible, but not flavoursome either. I was concerned after the reviews Iâd read, but Iâd already paid through an âoff peak luxury dealâwhich bound us to the restaurant for both nights. The deserts again were ok. I had the sticky toffee pudding, which was factory made and microwaved. Considering the price and description of these offerings, you are left completely underwhelmed. Our second night meant that the items we wanted to eat âwere back onâ however again, eating them did not quite live up to the 24 hour eager anticipation from the night before. The desert was described as a panacotta with rhubarb compote and ginger crumb. I got a ready made, gelatin heavy custard with a red top, that didnât taste of anything, with a biscuit that was stale, and broken in to quarters. I took a photo as I couldnât quite believe it. We sat by the window which was nice, had it not been for looking at the paint peeling from the window posts. The old decaying window panes and the untidy and broken patio are outside. This is not a luxury outing. This is trying to be something that a cheap paint job and an untrained chef just canât achieve. My advice is to sell it as what it really is, lower your prices, and be honest about your offerings. Otherwise you are just going to have a constant flow of unsatisfied customers.
