Penny's Beach Cafe in Havant

I was going to write a review anyway because I was very impressed however my kids were bugging me to write one straight away to say Thankyou and say how much of a fab time they had! The staff made them very welcome and feel safe, it’s the little things like that which make your day! Thankyou so much, my kids had the best time and won’t stop talking about their breakfast!

Myself and my good lady try and have breakfast on Sundays if I’m not working, decided to drive the 70 miles to Hayling Island and we weren’t disappointed at all. Lovely friendly staff and a superb breakfast, tips anything locally and cheaper too. Can’t wait for our next visit.

very friendly staff - very happy to cater for individual preference. I had a fantastic sausage and hash brown sandwich and to be honest it was so nice, every time I visit that will be my breakfast order! The staff are really friendly and welcoming and make you feel valued.I would give this cafe a 5 star if they had a coffee machine for fresh coffee or a filter coffee option. This cafe is excellent value for money and is perfectly located.

I went in with my 2 kids for breakfast and we had a lovely breakfast. Very good value for money and the staff were really friendly and super nice to the kids.

Walked in for lunch on saturday with family. Found a table and started looking at the menus and we were then met with the cook berating and shouting at his staff. Walked straight out as that's not how your treat staff. Loads of better places in the area (which treat their staff well). So avoid!

Visited yesterday. Had breakfast omelette with salad /chips. Excellent value and will definitely visit again.

I had made a point to go to this cafe as it always looks good, we arrived at about 9am and sat down to look at the menu well we both had the double special at £7.00 !!!! outstanding value for money service prompt and the food excellent, we will return soon thanks very much cheers from B.B.

Lovely little cafe delivering everything you’d expect from breakfasts (double ups for the win!), snacks, lunches and everything in between. Food is always well cooked, fresh and tasty. Service is warm, friendly and relaxed. Been multiple times and never had a complaint!

We stayed in Creek Rd on vacation from USA. Every morning we went to Penny's for breakfast. It was excellent. Penny and her husband looked after us so well. I recommend this Café to anybody. We hope to see you next year Penny.

Popped in here to have a cup of tea and use the free Wifi. It was busy but very relaxed, the man who served me was totally friendly and had great rappor. I did not eat today but was very tempted as the fry ups looked delicious and nicely done. The tables were getting ever so slightly messy but this was right after a busy lunch service and was definitely not unclean.There is a great range of fun treats such as flavoured milkshakes too. Will be returning next I'm in the area.

In need of a good breakfast after a long night catching up with friends, we discovered Penny's tucked away near the east end of Hayling. 11.30am on a summer Thursday morning, four famished 60 somethings arrive in need of sustenance - and found just that! A friendly greeting followed by four well filled plates of freshly cooked breakfast; £6 for a standard full english - egg, bacon, 'proper' baked beans, sausage, choice of fresh or tinned toms, choice of toast or a fried slice plus a mug of coffee, tea or OJ. For an extra pound, you can double up (2 of us did!) and for a further pound, you can make it 3 of everything (can anyone manage that??). The food was very good, all cooked to order; the staff were all friendly and fun......and we shall certainly be back.

Yummy breakfast at penny's cafe cooked fresh to order you can choose to double or triple up your breakfast at a really reasonable price and milkshakes are also amazing!!

This cafe is extremely friendly... nothing to much trouble for the staff. The food is all cooked to order and fresh. There were games for children to play.

Excellent breakfast very friendly staff good banter. Very good prices. Much recommend and the kids loved being able to draw on the blackboard tables and they said the milkshakes were yummy.

Fast and efficient service, good grub and good value. Highly recommend I will be returning in the future

Been here many times the food is always delicious a much higher standard than other cafes on the island and incredibly reasonable. The owner is lovely so welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend, a definite hidden gem of Hayling!!

My husband and I have just popped in for a drink and I had a Black cherry hot chocolate and my husband had a Caramel Latte. They are lovely. Just what you need in this cold weather. I will be coming back for another one.

I popped in as I really fancied egg and chips. The owner was charming and friendly. I got two fried eggs, two sausages and loads of excellent chips for £3.50. The cup of tea was £1 and the refill was for free. What more could you possibly want for an old school "greasy spoon"? Highly recommended.

Down to earth English breakfast type place, small but efficient, all female staffed (on our visit) who were friendly and efficient, food good and well priced. Modest amount of customer room but tables well placed (including outside area) table tops turned into blackboards for children to draw on.

Recommended to me for breakfast, my husband had a 3 up I had scrambled egg, sausage, bacon. We sat outside with our puppy lovely home cooked food, friendly staff will go back

Went to penny's beach cafe for breakfast as it was my friends birthday.

The owner was very friendly made us feel welcomed . while we were there other customers also received the same welcome , a mechanic from the garage ordered his lunch went back to work and the owner cooked it and took to the garage . Many other local shop owners receive the same personal treatment .

Met up with friends for coffee. Lovely atmosphere and service. I will definitely be going back again.

Have had several meals here, all of which have been excellent, large portions, at a very good price..Lovely Milkshakes and free wifi..fantastic atmosphere, mainly down to the friendly and happy staff...

This café is away from the main seafront, more for the local residents than the daytripper. The food therefore has to be good, to get the customers returning regularly. The tables outside seemed to be popular with dogwalkers. Next time I must remember to take my tablet, to take advantage of the free Wifi.

Great Breakfast, 1 up, 2up or 3up really good food but would struggle with the 3up i think lol. Great Service and Great Friendly Staff..
