Popped in for a coffee today, lovely place , lovely atmosphere and great staff. Will definitely be back, thankyou Erika for great service.

Came in to buy a bacon roll. I was charged £3.50 for the smallest roll known to man and one extremely small piece of bacon which wasn’t even slightly crispy but seemed to take an age to cook. Really really disappointed. Weirdly I could have purchased a biggish pie for a pound. Bery very odd place. Wouldn’t recommend.

Jane's Tea Rooms is so welcoming, friendly and a happy place to be in. Good, fresh food, hot or cold, very good bread and cakes.

Was really looking forward to a first class meal at the stag. Unfortunately from the start things didn't go well. Dirty sticky wine glass stem. 2nd. my wife's souffle contained large fish bones. Waitress took it away after we complained. It was the last so couldn't be replaced,but we were still charged... My fish pie looked very good,but again was let down due to there being very little fish in it and I mean little.... I'm sorry I'm not a winger, indeed this is the 1st time I've been compelled to write such a review. Yes I could of given it all back. But we just wanted to leave.... Andy Smith. Newport. The best Jerk burger EVER. Lovely people amd absolutely fantastic food. If I could give more than 5/5 I would! A hidden gem.

Came in today for Mothers Day, did have to wait 15 mins for our table as the table we were allocated was just being finished off by the previous booking. This was absolutely no problem whatsoever. The staff were apologetic but so helpful and accommodating and to be honest, we enjoyed relaxing as a family and enjoying each others company! The food was beautiful, I’m vegan and time was taken to provide vegan gravy and a delicious vegan meal - The sausages were cooked to perfection which is rare for veggie sausages! We heard a couple of tables moaning which we found really sad. The staff were all so lovely and I don’t think the people complaining took into account just how busy they were and how hard the staff were trying. We saw the landlady after and considering she had just cooked for 200 people she was so bubbly and friendly - with her, the staff, the food and the general atmosphere, this is definitely somewhere we will visit very frequently.
