Stopped on Sunday afternoon for a drink. Lovely spot by the canal and the best hot choclate I've had in a long time. Nice to find somewhere at the end of a walk down the canal, has a good selection of food on the menu, previously tried the breakfast which was tasty will be going back to try for lunch 😊

I’ve been to daisy doodahs a few times now and it’s been a wonderful experience each time. The staff are friendly and efficient, it’s a cosy little patisserie and the cakes are to die for! I would definitely recommend a coffee and cake visit if you haven’t been before. Their sandwiches/panini’s are relish too!!

A Once-Great Charity That Has Lost Its Way Emmaus Mossley was once a beacon of community support, offering affordable second-hand furniture and homeware to those in need. Unfortunately, it has now strayed far from its original mission. What was meant to be a charitable endeavour—recycling donated goods to benefit both the community and those experiencing homelessness—has transformed into an overpriced, disorganised, and exploitative operation. The most glaring issue is the pricing. Emmaus is supposed to provide affordable furniture, yet it has become completely detached from the reality of those it claims to serve. A recent visit revealed a sofa and snug chair set priced at over £1,000—a shocking and unjustifiable figure for donated furniture. Numerous other reviews echo this sentiment, with customers consistently highlighting the astronomically high prices. It seems Emmaus is more focused on squeezing every penny out of well-meaning donations rather than ensuring affordable access for those who truly need it. Beyond the pricing, the shop itself has become a disorganised mess, filled with broken, incomplete, and even potentially unsafe items. Where quality control should be paramount, it appears to be an afterthought. Instead of curating useful and affordable pieces, Emmaus is littered with junk that has no place being sold to the public. Worse still, the organisation appears to have lost sight of its core purpose in favour of commercial ventures, such as an overpriced coffee shop and rented spaces for independent traders. While there’s nothing wrong with diversification, it should never come at the expense of the charity’s fundamental mission. The best donated furniture is now cherry-picked for “upcycling,” slapped with an exorbitant price tag, and made inaccessible to those who rely on Emmaus for affordable household essentials. This is not just a single disappointing visit—it is a widespread issue, as reflected in the growing number of negative reviews. Customers who have long supported Emmaus are now warning others to stay away, disillusioned by the greed and disregard for the community. Emmaus Mossley is taking advantage of the goodwill and generosity of donors while betraying the trust of the very people it was meant to help. Unless serious changes are made, it no longer deserves the support of the public. If you’re considering donating or shopping here, I strongly urge you to think twice and look elsewhere.

Tried for the first time today as our usual cafe was closed. The food was amazing and good quality ingredients. I had the belly buster breakfast which almost defeated me it was that big. My wife had sausages with real homemade chips. We will definitely be back.
