We visited a couple of weeks ago I had pud, chips peas and gravy which was lovely my husband had a bacon and egg and we honestly thought it was the best we have had in a long time.

Longlands Mill Queen StreetCome quite regularly usually visiting every 6 to 8 weeks and have done so for about 15 years so I think I’m pretty well qualified to give an unbiased review. Cafe is great, love the soups! We bought a series of cutlery, some plates, other little bits, £1. I think the comments about the cost of some other items such as the furniture is unfair. There are an array of sofas, chairs, tables, furniture for some incredibly reasonable prices. The picture of the sofa for £700 or whatever…it’s huge, a four seater and a large two seater. Both in really good condition. Or if that’s not to your taste or budget literally 5 steps away from that is a reasonably priced alternative and then just as you walk in the door 20/25 other seating alternatives. But again, with these public reviews that potentially last forever on the internet I think it’s also important to remember the people that work and give their time and energy to change their little bit of the world for the better. Keep doing what you’re doing. And if you think a sofa set is worth £700 odd quid, so be it, and if you don’t…maybe don’t worry about it, go upstairs and have a big mug of tea for a £1.
