My first experience at Lilly's Bistro Food was excellent 👌 will be coming back soon

Lovely classy vintage bistro, a hidden gem in the centre of Ashton, been here twice now and the food was just as tasty and very filling as the first 😁 Live music in the evening adds more little treats for the experience.

What a really nice place.first time there today 21/8/24. My daughter and I had the full English breakfast and my granddaughter had the French toast breakfast and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.i would highly recommend lily's to anyone who hasn't been there.well priced, lovely restaurant and good food.

We went in for the first time late Sunday morning. Nice and quiet, pleasant service, prompt food. We had a lily's breakfast with the tastiest sausage and a croque madame Which was too die for. Is it the cheapest no, but is it worth it, oh yes it is. We'll definitely be going back, highly recommended.

Love this place. Proper full English breakfasts, afternoon teas. When you’re finished, take home fabulous cakes, buns and pastries. We’ve been many times. Great place. Went for ABBA night last night, had a great time. Loved it.

I was visiting the area and needed somewhere for Brunch. Google recommended this place so we went and I'm really glad we did. I went with 2 friends and we all enjoyed the dishes we had, which varied from Lily's full brunch, to the Veggie brunch and Salmon. We especially enjoyed the Mushrooms which were very good. If we'd had more time., I'm sure we would have tried some of the lovely looking sweet options which we noticed from some of the other patrons

I have travelled from Stoke to have breakfast here on quite a few occasions. Best French toast I've ever had! 😋

We visited on a Friday evening on a date night and this place was the perfect find. We shared 6 Tapas dishes and everything was cooked perfectly & tasted delicious. The duck dumplings, Thai cod & prawn fishcakes, pan-fried king prawns were all especially good. Even their take on cheesy garlic bread is special! We had a couple of cocktails each that were fine too. Nice cosy tidy interior, the owner is lovely too, very friendly & she recommended coming back for one of their entertainment nights which we most definitely will. Lilly's Bistro offers good value for money in very nice surroundings.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience in lily's bistro, we went with an elderly gentleman who needs a wheelchair to get around and found it easily accessible for him and we thoroughly enjoyed our time, we will most certainly be making it part of our regular routine when we come to Ashton-under-Lyne. Really enjoyed by us all, thank you so much for your hospitality, we felt really important and well cared for, and the atmosphere was enthralling, a delightful place to unwind. We must book into a live music night, can't wait x

Had a lovely lunch with old friends today, food and service was fabulous. Cheese Grille, was just scrumptious, so much cheese and the caramelised onion just finished it for me, perfect. 5 of us and we were all very happy.

Excellent was there for the event night Great menu and atmosphere also had amazing entertainment for the price it was good value definitely go back

Came here as a table of 5 plus child, very accommodating, Food was Lovely service was lovely and all reasonably priced, they had a area which was set up for entertainment, we did enquire but unfortunately we were leaving before the weekend so wasn’t able to go, next time I’m back would definitely go back

I came here as its a favorite of a family member, all I can say if you cook yourself and enjoy good food that is easy enough to prepare don't go here. Basic, really disappointed and its costly if mistakes and no care is made to your food.

I booked Lilly’s for brunch with friends: we were on a bit of a tight schedule, but the team were willing to take our food order in advance. It came more or less as soon as we arrived! I chose Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and a side of mushrooms which made for a very satisfying meal.

Went for afternoon tea with a friend who hadn't to Lilly's before. It was a lovely experience always a warm welcome. The afternoon tea was delicious. A good selection of sandwiches and a home made sausage roll which was really tasty. Three different scones with jam and cream, along with four dainty sweets. Fresh tea when ours was getting low. I have been on a number of occasions it is always a good experience. Our go to place for special occasions.

First time customer at Lilly’s Bistro and absolutely loved it! Was there with my sister and niece for a birthday brunch. Loved the interior decor.. vintage/almost boudoir atmosphere with a selection of separate booths and centre room tables. Was given a lovely, friendly welcome by the staff member, chose a booth and, once ordered from the menu, didn’t wait long at all for our food.. Two vegetarian meals and I opted for the bacon & mushroom omelette. To me, the portions were very generous, on all our plates, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Love this place and so glad I found it. In the words of Arnie, “I’ll be back”!!

Sunday brunch. Most places stop offering any form of breakfast after 12 noon. This place had no restrictions. We arrived at 11.45 took our time and ordered 2 full English, 1 vegetarian full English and eggs Benedict. The quality of the produce stood out. The sausage and bacon were butchers quality and delicious. The poached eggs were perfect. A little hidden gem

Last minute 80th Birthday celebration table for 7 on thr evening menu. Nothing was too much trouble I'd been recommended by 2 friends and have to say it exceeded my expectations in every way and my mother was blown away with the food and service (and she's so fussy). Value for money, stunning decor and atmosphere.Needless to say we will be back real soon thanks so much for making everything so perfect at such short notice....huge compliments to the chef xxx thanks the Hamiltons

Great food and a lovely setting. The sign on the door said closed and it was quite dark so we wasn’t sure if it was open. Once we went in though we was greeted by a lovely server. You use QR codes to order which was a good option but would still have liked the option to have a menu or order with the server. We have 6 coffees between the 4 of us which were served hot and brought over quickly. We have various brunch items which were bit portions and very tasty.

Lovely food, great service. Had a delicious veggie full English with great coffee. My friend had French toast which she also said was delicious. You can order either with a QR code or via the server. Two meals and four drinks came to £30, so very reasonably priced. The inside is a little too busy for my personal taste—but it was clean and tidy, the server was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm. Would recommend and visit again!

Never fails to deliver. We all had tapas, and it was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Our friends live out in Spain, so they're pretty familiar with tapas, and they said it was very nice and worth every penny. We'll definitely return. The staff are fantastic and easy to speak to. Keep up the great work.

Had a lovely breakfast/brunch this morning with my partner & newborn, would've been 5 stars all round but the poached egg needed straining for longer as I could taste a little of the vinegary water it was cooked in. Everything else was cooked to perfection and I could tell it was quality bacon, sausages etc. Personally I liked the QR code ordering system, the only improvement I'd like is to be able to add more drinks, cakes etc to my existing order if I decide I'd like more. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend & I'll look forward to visiting again.

Mother and Daughter get together so we decided on an afternoon tea which did not disappoint. Food was beautiful and lots of it. So reasonably priced. Will definately return.

Nice place not used to scan for online menu seemed longer but that was me as I have not done that before did not seam as good as real menu from before or I would have had a burger but looks like they have gone.

Visited Lily’s recently and have enjoyed the food. However, the introduction of QR Code ordering has detracted from the personal touch that first drew me to this lovely place.

Amazing staff, great atmosphere, really good playlist. I think the expectations were too big at start, food was good, but missed the wooow factor of all the rest of the experience

Helpful and polite lady took our booking for afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes, scones and surprise caramelised sausages were all delicious. Plenty of tea too. Can highly recommend this place. Grand daughter really enjoyed her special ice cream too!

Been to Lillys several times, never disappointed!! Really pleased to see Sunday Roast Lunch back on the menu, It was really tasty, great choice of meats, loads of veg including cauliflower cheese (a fav of mine) and potato dauphinoise. Roast was good value for money and great portion size. Struggled to squeeze a desert in but couldn't say no to a profiteroles tort. Definitely be going back for Sunday lunch.

Lily’s Bistro looks nicely decorated from the outside. It was my first time today alongside my neice & I enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast option; the veg sausages were best I’ve had & the French toast alongside golden syrup, berries, strawberries and the other delights was a treat! Afternoon Tea was lovely and the service was good. It was quiet went we went, so can't comment on what it is like when busy. Will go again!

Visited for Father's Day. The food was really good, as was the service. One small thing for a bit of constructive feedback is that you couldn't swap breakfast items, for example if you don't like black pudding, you couldn't replace it with something else. Most other cafes allow this and it's just something to maybe consider. However this was a small thing and overall we were delighted with our experience here and will return.

Would have been a 5 but it was way too warm. The food was perfect

My Daughter took me to Lilys Bistro as a Suprise for my Birthday and it was Wonderful. The staff Amazing, even the chef came to make sure we had enjoyed our Afternoon tea. What an Amazing place to go We will certainly be going again. Thankyou so much Lilys Bistro. Xxc

Went for afternoon tea recently and it was very good, the food was excellent and beautifully prepared & presented well worth the money.

The vegetarian afternoon tea had a quality selection of sandwich fillings and 3 cute delicious different scones with jam and cream . There were 4 small pastries to finish , which were well made ; I asked for hot water with my tea which came very promptly , so overall mine was very good. The gentleman's tea slightly less so, he was over faced by the massive grilled cheese baguette and also the large slice of victoria sponge and would have preferred more variety. Also the jam was in a little plastic pack, we thought it would have been nicer in a little bowl. The quantity was good and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't finish . Thank you 🙂

How amazing is this little hidden gem!! Great atmosphere and fantastic service, the girls couldn't do enough for us on Mothers Day, afternoon tea was 10/10. Homemade sausage rolls were the best. Looking forward to coming again to try the evening menu 👏👏

Didn't get chance to eat. Booked an afternoon tea on Thursday for 12 today. 2 people. We were told its an hour "slot" at that point We arrive 10 minutes early Only to see on the menu that afternoon tea started at 1230... We were then told that I " didn't order afternoon tea, I was the one that took the call" Seeing as the 1st thing out of my mouth was " I would like to book an afternoon tea for 2pm please" when I tried to book. So I'm a liar am I? And no intention of 'I'm sorry, but I'm sure we can sort a tea and cake out" Just " I'm sorry" ( but you are a liar sir) Won't be back.

My wife and I went here on date night and we had a selection of tapas. We was not disappointed it was absolutely beautiful, we had seven dishes between us and every single one was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Cruzcampo on draft 🙂 We've been her a couple of times in the past ( breakfast and lunch ) and it's always been perfect never any issues. We spoke to the owner for a little while and she's lovely and friendly, her husband is the chef and they both work very hard and have a beautiful bistro. This place is a must visit and you'll not be disappointed.

Wow! We have dined at Lilly's previously for Breakfast and throughly enjoyed it. So I decided we'd try out the evening menu for our date night. Omg we were not disappointed. We ordered the tapas. You can have 3 dishes for £15 or buy individually. We ordered 2 x 3 dishes plus a cheesy garlic baguette for dipping in the creamy mushrooms and meatball sauce. The salt & pepper chips were coated in like a soya sauce, omg delicious. My husbands favourite were the hot wings and the thai fishcake. For dessert we shared Churros and they were perfect, A lovely crunch to them and served with a chocolate dipping sauce. yum! I could eat it all again, it was just LUSH. We had a nice chat to the owner at the end of our meal, such a lovely lady from Wales. She and husband are both chefs and they do a fantastic job between them. . We will definitely be returning and be recommending to friends and family. Thanks Lilly's

We had our Christmas party here last night and I have to say it was the best I have been to. The owner was utterly charming and an expert at what she does. The food was delicious, fantastic portions and we all left so happy. What a fabulous find. We would all highly recommend this as a beautiful venue. Thanks for making our Christmas!!!! Xxxxxx

Another lovely visit to Lily's with a dear friend on Sunday afternoon, we had the Omelette, house Fries and shared a Cheesy Garlic Bread. The food was fantastic as always with a great atmosphere so chilled out. Thanks to the two waitresses that looked after us during our visit and not forgetting the lovely Mandy. Midweek dinner, 3 tapas and cocktails got our attention, drinks super unfortunately tapas not so. Kebab was good

Our usual Wednesday night out & decided to go slightly further a field. Our 1st visit but definitely not our last. Service was excellent and friendly. We choose 3 tapas with cocktails as starter, King prawns, chicken wings and meatballs. Cocktails were great, tapas typical size but maybe on the dear side. Main was the hanging kebab which was very good. Finishing with honeycomb cheesecake and warm chocolate and orange sponge which were super. All in all, a very happy experience.

Had many different foods from here, A star for food, staff and always a warm and friendly greeting.

As an ashtonian coming back to my hometown a pleasure to visit this family place still going strength to strength. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Pleasure to return again. My family and I arranged to have a cream tea for our aunt's 90th Birthday at Lily's and we had such a wonderful time. The staff were amazing (and presented my aunt with a champagne glass of Prosecco). The food was delicious and beautifully presented. In my aunts words it was "A magical experience". We will come again to Lilly's. Thank you to the staff for making my aunts day so magical😊

Service and food are lovely, only been for breakfast. Really good coffee! Only comment I have is that the plant based portion of menu contains eggs on the breakfast options, animal products are not vegan/plant based - just more for info than anything! I also feel it would have been fair for me to have extra mushrooms or beans in place of an egg but was advised it would be charged as an additional extra.

I asked for one piece of toast and got two. After eating one the second one was cold. A very nice place but spoiled.

Found this place merely by chance last summer when we had a fabulous meal and again returned recently for another meal. The ambience is perfect. Love the music. Staff friendly but not overbearing and nothing is too much trouble. The menu is a good choice and the food cooked to absolute perfection, tasty and good value. Now onto desserts...... i,m generally not a lover of sticky toffee pudding as i find it normally too heavy and thick, however the sticky toffee pudding from here was absolutely amazing, i have never ever tasted something so awesome in the pudding departments in all my life. If you have never been here before you really are missing out.

Friendly cosy place where you are made very welcome. Visited many times with friends for brunch & really enjoyed the food there. One in the party is dairy free & I'm gluten free & we have no trouble in ordering. They do an amazing breakfast such variety where you can choose what you would like on your plate. Well worth the visit we go back time & time again.

I have been to lillys a number of time for breakfast, lunch and evening Tapas with cocktails every time has been lovely the food is well presented and hot when served the staff are lovely the restaurant kitchen and toilets are all clean. This can be busy in the daytime which is also a good review in its self.

Love this place!! Food, ambience and staff....all faultless. The tapas is to die for and very reasonable... biggest portions of tapas I've ever had. Ham leek and cheese gratin....yum! Will be back 😀
