Gran almuerzo! Muy buena comida y mi esposa disfrutó particularmente del especial! El personal es muy amable y siempre tienen una sonrisa en sus caras. El pastel también es súper buena relación calidad-precio y era incluso demasiado para tres de nosotros! Sin duda recomendaría!

Vi una foto de un stroganoff de setas en un anuncio recientemente que provocó esta revisión. Lamentablemente la realidad no se parecía en nada a la foto.

This was our first visit to this restaurant which came highly recommended. We booked in advance, which was advised and on arrival we were seated at a table really close to the bar. Initially this wasn’t a problem but as the bar area got busy groups of people were gathering virtually on top of our table with some placing their drinks on our table. I wouldn’t normally have a problem with this but we were eating so was a little uncomfortable. The food was very good extremely tasty and generous portions. The staff we encountered were all very efficient it was just a shame we felt uncomfortable at the table and rushed our meal to leave.

Having stayed two nights, Saturday and Sunday along with another couple we found the venue to be like a curate’s egg. When Googled, the establishment is designated a 4-star hotel, it most certainly is not. We had rooms numbers 4&5. A major security issue was found that our key for No. 4 ALSO opened No.5 . Good job we were not strangers in adjacent rooms. Both rooms had no hot water to the bathroom sinks albeit the bath and shower did? When brought to the attention of the young girl who had the role of “deputy manager” I said we expected an appropriate adjustment to our bills for the inconvenience when we left. We were subsequently informed that, having spoken to both the “in absentia” manager and the owner, the response was that there was nothing wrong and everything was as it should be. No one could be bothered to even come to the rooms and see for themselves. Accordingly, no reduction was offered or made. Housekeeping was below par, toilet roll not replaced, only one fresh bath towel for two occupants and if anyone can be bothered to look up at the bathroom Velux window, the cobwebs are a sight to behold in Room 4. Breakfast on Sunday was a muddled affair. Having ordered tea we had to ask for cups, out of four, one was chipped another dirty. Teaspoons also had to be requested. When orders were taken, told no white bread, we have run out so only brown available and I was then given an extra half of tomato to make up for the mushrooms that were also found to have run out. This was all down to the supplier apparently. Monday morning started with the same story of shortages plus salmon was now added to the list of shortages. By chance, the white bread and mushrooms arrived in time to amend our orders as originally intended. I find it hard to comprehend that the establishment has not only a manager who has such a laissez faire attitude but moreover, also the owner. Good luck with that going forward . On a positive note, we all found the quality of the food to be good and the pricing sensible. We could not find enough positives with the Red Lion Inn to make a return visit at all likely, sorry.
