However the food and all of the team are excellent. Best dinning experience we have had in a very long time. Highly recommended. Don't know what you'd like to eat ? Just ask Martin. He will recommend what he think would suit your taste. And he knows what he is talking about. Book now ! Thank me later.

We had a friend from London visiting for the weekend and chose The Three Tuns for Saturday evening dinner, combining a great country pub atmosphere with delicious food. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the very busy bar staff. The food was lovely: prawn satay followed by prawn stir-fry and one pork massuman. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is well priced and the Aviator on draught was delicious too. All in all, another great evening.

Once again an amazing meal with outstanding Roti Canai. Authentic recipes and I can taste the similarities as me and my family have lived in Asia.

Wow, wow, wow. Totally unexpected, eleven of us went for a family birthday on the 10th of February. Incredible food and service. The portions were extremely generous, and every dish was delicious. Finally, some really fresh authentic Thai food in Cambridgeshire. It’s an overused phrase, but this is a real hidden gem. Although not so unhidden, as was very busy. Definitely deserves, as wide a platform as is possible. Unlike me, but not one criticism to make. Cannot recommend highly enough, if you get the chance to visit here grab it with both hands. I will definitely be returning, and very soon.

This restaurant was booked for a family birthday meal on 19th Jan. It is in a country pub setting, very cosy interior but with great outside seating also. One of the outside huts was booked for our meal and on a very cold wintry night, we were a little hesitant about our choice, but need not have worried at all! The pub was extremely busy on that evening but we felt we received excellent service by all of the staff. The outside hut proved to be an excellent choice as it was fully heated, so lovely and warm. The food served here is Thai food cooked by a Thai chef and we all enjoyed everything we had. One of our family has a gluten, dairy and egg restriction and this was explained whilst ordering. There wasn’t really any problems and we were given an allergy menu. We really enjoyed our evening and all said we would recommend to others and return in the future.

What can I say? Taste: delicious; quantity: abundant; service: friendly and efficient; atmosphere: warm. I've been at the three tuns several times over more than a decade. It never disappoint. One of the best restaurants around Cambridge

We have been using the Three Tuns for the past twenty years for stopover accommodation and their Thai meals. In that time the service was always very good during the various alterations brought about by management changes. However with the new menu introduced in April 2023 and with staff changes all seems to have gone down hill. Yesterday we stopped by for an evening meal, a Pad Thai and a Panang curry. The Pad Thai was awful, a coagulated mess, so awful we asked for our money back and received it. Our last visit.

Came here with colleagues for work lunch to celebrate the end of the year. I had the Beef red Thai curry and it was fabulous bur I had major food envy of the chicken pad Thai - it looked amazing so will come back and have that next time!! We also had some combo starters which were nice - I really enjoyed the veg tempura and the peanut sauce is great. Lovely staff here who are friendly and attentive

Fabulous Thai lunch and great service in a popular village pub. We arrived during a busy time but were well looked after by Martin and the bar team. Booking recommended!

We stayed here on our first night into our walk following the Harcamlow Way. The room was very comfortable, good shower and well appointed. My recommendation for light sleepers would be not stay in room 9 as we did. Room 10 appears to be the gateway into a room above. Footsteps and closing doors were heard from about 6am. The restaurant serves excellent Thai food. My partner had, what must be a signature dish, whole sea bass in a tamarind sauce - she loved it!

We were fortunate to stay at The Three Tuns with some couples whilst celebrating a friends big birthday. The accommodation was fantastic, wonderfully clean and the air con was a godsend in the hot weather. We are in the pub on the Friday - a fabulous Thai menu. The tempura vegetables were to die for !! Chris and Karen were brilliant landlords who made us feel so welcome. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the area or just have a great meal and decent pint. Thanks Chris and Karen, we will definitely be back.

Had overnight stay- had prebooked our breakfast food the night before with a time specified Went to pub in morning all locked up ond in darkness Tried the keys they gave us which opened the pub tracked down chef who just said no one had told her we were coming The bar was full of dirty glasses no table laid , not offered a drink or asked what food we wanted no apology She was more concerned how we got in pub Very unwelcoming and awkward for us so we left as had no idea how long it would take to clear bar set up table and get breakfast ready which was no good to us We had packed up car so decided to go which was not unreasonable as it was dire customer service and why would we stay in such a situation we were not in the wrong but made to feel we were This pub would not refund a penny as said breakfast is complimentary !! So we never got what we should have as it should have been set up and ready Never even said come back another time to have a breakfast as it should have been Feel they have zero respect for paying customers and no idea how to handle a situation that has gone wrong and actually could not care less In the end they didn't have the decency to reply to all our emails Shame on you 3 tuns

Staying in the village for three nights on our first night we visited the Three Tuns and were greeted with a friendly welcome, we ask if we could have a table for our evening meal no problem a comprehensive menu and a good selection of beers . Food selected it came beautifully presented and very tasty, staff attentive but not over the top. We had previously book before for Friday night again friendly welcome and excellent food , the added bonus was the live music playing in the garden were family’s were also enjoying all the Three Tuns had to offer. I would highly recommend a visit you will not be disappointed. My only regret is that I live so far away.

After hearing so many good things about this place I thought I’d give it a go.. lovely looking pub from the outside and was nice inside. Drinks ordered and was left to look through the menu.. which is in very small print for such a dark room.We shared the prawn crackers with the peanut sauce which were nice. I had a mixed starter which was ok my main was again just ok.. I had the chicken chilli with Thai herbs and it was in a kind of gravy.. something I’ve not had before and wouldn’t again. Paid my bill at the bar I was then asked if I wanted to pay extra for the chefs which I was a little uncomfortable with.. surely part of my bill covers your chefs wages? I refused to pay extra.. card machine taken away and not a thanks for coming or a cheerio.

We have always loved this place and travel someway to go there. Last night was our first visit since lockdown and it was fully booked inside but outside too in the amzing self contained huts that they have introduced since Covid that have heating and music for you to operate. It was a very cold evening, so seeing the coal fire in the main bar was very welcome. The staff as always were helpful and friendly and the food starting with the basket of spicy crackers with a dish of peanut sauce with main dishes delicious. The Landlords have gone to great efforts to make this an enjoyable visit in spite of the restrictions that inevitably have to be in place now.

After having 2 holidays cancelled due to the Corona Pandemic, we were trying to arrange something special for our Anniversary, we booked up The Three Tuns, we had a warm welcome from staff and shown to the rooms they were lovely, with a supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. We had a wander around the village and back for drinks we sat in the little garden which overlooked the little huts for eating out they were really cute, definitely a must on a chilly evening or with friends.For our special meal we booked a table the Thai food was amazing something for all tastes, the staff were all helpful and accommodating to our needs and the breakfast was a great start to the day especially the sausages, we had a great little break and got to celebrate our special occasion would definitely go back, and take some friends along too. Just picked up a takeaway on our way to a friends garden. It was busy with cricketers and locals inside and out but good social distancing in these difficult times. I felt everyone was being responsible. Service was punctual as ever if you don't want to hang around and if you do safe practices in place inside.Pub was spotless (as it always is Covid or no). I have no hesitation in recommending the food, atmosphere, service and organisation. Please go if you can and support our local pubs

Popped here a few days ago for a takeaway but decided to stay for a pint too. Great to see in these times hand sanitiser everywhere and the staff doing a great job of making everyone feel safe. There’s also a great, safe area to drink out the front and enjoy the cricket. People are all respectful of social distancing and I felt safe the whole time. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay safe and still enjoy what life used to be like. Thanks again, will be back soon!

It does feel like no one cares about this covid stuff anymore...went to collect a takeaway and just so crowded outside, tens of people at the two tables right in front and also in their inner courtyard...the lady coming in and out to collect glasses from the tables, talk to the customers...all great things to do but right now, seems a bit like flaunting any sort of measures to also protect said customers....unless all those people are perhaps related which is fair enough...definitely did not make me trust their safe handling of food for takeaway...

The coronavirus has taken over the world but the 3 tuns are still ploughing ahead with their fabulous takeaways! Delicious food! Well managed- clearly adhering to social isolation rules. My only complaint being that they're so busy it's difficult to always get a slot!

What a great idea to serve takeaway during this difficult time. Unfortunately our food wasn’t the best. The starters tasted like frozen bits you’d buy from a super market. The two mains we had to be fair were tasty but overall £31 for a starter and two mains I felt was over priced. They seemed like loverly people so I hope this was a one.

As we work locally, this is our local spot to visit for food.As always, we receive a friendly welcome from all the staff and the Head Chef, Oi. There's a good selection of drinks and a vast selection of delicious Thai food.The starters and main courses have such good portions, you always leave feeling full and know you're getting your money's worth here. We always try something different every time we come here, as there's so much tasty food to choose from.Would advise booking early if you have large tables or if you plan on going there on the weekends, as they tend to get busy very quickly.Thank you for such a lovely meal every time we come!

Lovely food in a very busy pub,spoilt by twice having to rescue half full drinks that had been cleared whilst in the toilet or smoking despite having left coats,bags,scarves at the table. Also booked a table at 8 & then being told we had to be off table by 9,10 as our table was needed for others by 2 separate members of staff,we challenged this & were told the people wanting our table were supposed to be on a different table but the people on there were taking forever! Sorry but why do we have to rush?? & the waitress who cleared our drinks found it funny she’d done it twice! Er no drinks are expensive,so a potentially good eve spoilt on 4 occasions,won’t be returning!

Went with friends, really good Thai food served up incredibly quickly too and we all enjoyed. I had a sweet and sour which was super tasty, not sickly at all and the veg in it were just how I like them, crisp! We don’t go here that often, but when we do are always happy with the friendly service and tasty food.

We had to stay in the area for business and asked the hotel staff where to eat and they said the Three Tuns. I am glad they did as the food was superb and the portion sizes were good. We will be back.

We met friends in the pub for drinks on Xmas eve at 15.00. When we sat down, the tables were set for dinner, and we got a row for sitting at such a table. Within 30 minutes, the whole pub was jumping with locals enjoying a pre-Xmas drink, and all semblance of cutlery decorum was thrown out the window. Every table was enjoying complete disarray. The beers were good, and the clientele friendly. A good time was had, apart from the inappropriate and aggressive telling-off.

I love Thai food and this did not disappoint. As a veggie, there were a lot of yummy choices and the portions are large too! You will not go hungry!

I've been here numerous times and the food had always been great. But the last two times I visited it hasn't been very nice. This time I had Pad Thai and there was so much sauce on it, it was almost off putting. There was no chilli flakes or lime to squeeze on either. Would not recommend. However the spring rolls were lovely and a nice big portion.

This was the second time we have been here and we were certainly not disappointed! Thai food was exceptional - served quickly, amazing taste and leaving us very happily full up! Atmosphere in restaurant was great, staff were attentive and happy to interact if asked.

I've had many return visits to The Three Tuns and the food never disappoints. It has been consistently excellent over many years. Freshly cooked, nicely presented, and always to my taste. Waiting time is never very long. On my visit, the service was excellent even though the pub was choc-a-bloc with diners. How the waiters carried food through the throng was beyond me, well done guys. As well as the restaurant service, the take-a-way business was brisk. Well done Oi and the other cooks for keeping up with such a high demand. I can't wait to return. Oh, and the Argentinian Malbec is superb. Thank you team Three Tuns for a fabulous evening.

I was lucky enough to have a meal at The Three Tuns. The pub was very busy but this didn’t seem to effect the service.. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend a trip.

My third visit with friends to the Three Tuns. Thai menu is perfect something for everyone and the food is delicious we all had the mixed starters followed by the Yellow chicken curry for me on the recommendation of Karen (landlady)the service is efficient and the waiters polite and happy to give recommendations.

A warm welcome from Chris and Karen! The pub was packed on a Friday evening and I can understand why. There were 9 in our group. Service was prompt and smiley even though the staff were very busy. Good drinks selection including non alcoholic offerings - I was really pleased to see Adnams Ghost Ship 0.5% on tap.

We found this pub en route from Somerset to Norfolk when we turned off for a lunch stop. It is a nice, old fashioned but sympathetically modernised pub with a warm welcome. Loos are clean and nicely decorated.

We found the pub after slogging along a busy M11/A11 at bang on 2pm... just as the chef was starting her engine to go home after the lunchtime service. She got out of her car and asked us if we were hoping to have lunch and, when we said 'yes' asked what we would like as she was happy to go back inside and cook for us... "What's easy?" I asked... "I can do what you want... But Chicken Chow Mien is pretty easy"... "Let's have 2 of those then!" I said...She headed back inside!

We were staying in a nearby budget hotel and called to see if we could have a table on a Saturday evening. The owner booked us in and we had a brilliant Thai meal. The place was very busy with a great atmosphere - they obviously have a thriving takeaway service as well as a packed restaurant. The food was authentic and the service was good. When we left the owner knew we had walked a long way from the Hotel and without fuss he got out his car and drove us back. You can't get better than that! When next in the area will stay at this charming place.

I really wanted to give this place a good review, as the concept is great - decent Thai food in a pub atmosphere. However, it is totally let down by the poor service we’ve received on each of our 3 visits, last night being the very last time we will come!

I've been wanting to try here for a long time and i finally booked and went saturday. I was so disappointed to say the least. Awful service. Staff had no idea how to smile and seemed like they didn't what to be there, had no idea about good service. I asked for a bottle of water at the start of our meal and never got it. I told them we were sharing dishes and they never brought up individual plates, I had to ask. They rushed us through every course, which felt very uncomfortable, taking away plates before they had even finished. Food wasnt great. Satay chicken were very over cooked and like chewing on rubber, Thai crackers with peanut sauce? Really? Odd combination. Coconut rice came up a plate of soggy rice, Food came out unusually hot, had to sit for ages before you could eat it. Had to ask for the bill 3 times before we finally got it....everyone walks around with their eyes shut, not taking any notice of what's going on around them. Very disappointed. Expensive for very poor food.
