Visited on a busy Sunday and had an excellent bowl of Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash soup, as well as an excellent latte. There is always a good atmosphere and it is a relaxing place to visit.

5 stars! The Butter Chicken Curry is the best I have ever had. The locals were very friendly.

Visited this little café while out cycling in the county with a friend. The staff were all very friendly and enjoyed a joke and the prices were quite reasonable (£15 for two teas, a scrambled egg on gluten free toast & a bacon and sausage cob). Shortly after we had ordered, the girl who served us came to apologise and tell us that there had been a power outage in the kitchen and that our order would be delayed by five minutes while they went to obtain an extension cable. They then went on to offer us a free slice of cake each as compensation. We didn't accept the offer because the order was still far quicker than many other cafes (the delay was less than five minutes) and because small businesses like this can ill afford to give away food like this. It was a very kind gesture though and they were quite insistent that we accepted the cake. The food was good and had a good range of gluten free options, including several cakes. The bread used for my toast was a much better brand than found in many cafes (when you're Coeliac, you find that the quality and taste of GF breads differs greatly. As a parting gesture, my friend dropped and smashed his plate which the staff didn't complain about. A great little café and, if I find myself back in this delightful little town, then I'll certainly be going back in again.

Ordered some lattes, sat and drank them upstairs with a view across the square, they were lovely, so we ordered a breakfast meal and some more lattes. Well, the breakfast we ordered was cooked to perfection and soooo tasty..will definitely visit again when next in the area.

I such a great little business in a beautiful town with so much promise but unfortunately the experience is one to avoid. I am local and have visited over the years with the hopes that it will one day meet its potential. Today was not that day, again. Simple mid-afternoon visit for a bite to eat - jacket potato, veg chilli and a cup of breakfast tea - what could go wrong? Hmm, tea - not the blend ordered but let’s not be fussy. Dirty cup - a tide mark dirty. Swopped at the counter for … an even dirtier cup. Thankfully replaced with a freshly washed cup from the kitchen. Food - sparse and underwhelming. Undercooked microwaved large potato , a pinch of ‘salad’ and a small pot of chilli insufficient to allow all of the potato to be eaten as it was just too dry. Table had been wiped down with a slice of bread and butter - not the bread side either. As other comments and my past experiences here, this cafe clearly exists to serve the local school footfall with little effort to achieve its great potential.
