The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in England

This place is so over rated its unbelievable. Its like London prices, but most people are on Burnley wages. I cant understand that they can get away with charging the prices they charge. They will use the same brewery as the rest of the pubs and clubs. And its the same wine that pubs and clubs use and they charge nearly 3 times more for the same drink just to pay their extortinate overheads. Their should be a ban on ripping customers off. 10 people having a meal and a couple of drinks £1,000!!!! absolutely rediculous

Monday lunchtime visit, 3 for a quick lunch. Had pizza which excellent and quick. The service was also good although it was quiet for a work day lunchtime,

Hossam, I tried to,contact your restaurant repeatedly and none of your phones were answered. It just kept ringing. You advertised that you do delivery but it does not appear so. Very disappointing. Won’t be ordering ..and you are losing business.

La comida es excelente esa mujer es grosero por desgracia y estoy seguro de mucha gente, pero el chef es notado perfecto

The name is NOT ottoman kitchen, no bar tender, dishes came without the correct accompaniments, £17 for about 3 handfuls of salad with 5 lumps of feta and no dressing posing as "greek salad". However the staff were nice, the Sigara borega (feta cheese in filo pastry) was delicious.

Mother’s Day lunch with my family. Great Italian food . Lovely service. A nice duo playing good music… brilliant afternoon in the Piano restaurant.

We had dinner at The George Grill as part of an overnight stay and found it to be excellent. The food was delicious and well presented, and the staff were professional and welcoming. A big thank you to our waiter (who was from the Canary Islands) and was friendly, very attentive and provided an excellent service. We had the Romney Marsh lamb for starters which tasted amazing, followed by the Hake and clams with coconut verde sauce, equally delicious. Dessert and cheeses were fab. The following morning we thoroughly enjoyed the continental and cooked breakfast. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the smoked salmon was high quality. This is our second visit here and although the menu may be limited for some, it is of high standard.

I don’t think it even deserve a start due to the following: Food comes late 2 and half hour. No communication with customer Rude staff over the phone Staff saying “not our problem” At the end getting “cold food, stale old salad” There I recommend no one to order from here unless you want your night ruined with cold food and rude staff. I was very disappointed and they left my two kids hungry, very disappointed order, and their price is very expensive though.

I have visited on a number of occasions. This time we had dinner in The Orchid restaurant. We went for a drink in the bar at Fletchers Restaurant first which was lovely but completely empty. We then went to the Orchid which again was so quiet with only 1 other table occupied. The food was delicious, although hugely overpriced at £48 for a fillet steak with a few chips and an extra £5 if you wanted peppercorn sauce. The service was unfortunately extremely slow for drinks even though the restaurant was empty.

I took my mother and father for champagne afternoon tea on Friday. We were shown to our table which was by the pianola and we were freezing cold (the heating kept switching off apparently) and couldn’t hear each other over the music. Luckily the manager moved us to by the fire. We ordered hot chocolates, but they weren’t hot at all, tepid I’d say and our food took 50 mins to come! For sandwiches this seems ridiculous. The sandwiches, however, were very good, as were the scones and most of the cakes were lovely. But such a long wait and a freezing cold room other by the fire is not good for a 5 star hotel. Champagne was also only one glass included and then £30-70 for an additional glass!
