Monday lunchtime visit, 3 for a quick lunch. Had pizza which excellent and quick. The service was also good although it was quiet for a work day lunchtime,

The manager of this pub seems to hate the pub and his customers. Really rude. Doesn’t look anyone in the eye. Couldn’t care less. Comes across as so rude and unwelcoming like he’s constantly ‘over it’. I waited at the bar for ages while he was on his phone texting before serving me and others, even though he acknowledged us. Shame because I live locally and find this place so hostile and horrible because of him. On the occasion I go and he isn’t there, the staff complain how he treats them terribly. What a terrible place and how sad given pubs are struggling now to get back to normal and this one makes no effort to even want people there

Nice atmosphere and excellent quality of food for a lunch sitting. Good variety on the menu, and the portions were just about right. The service was initially very slow, however the servers were very friendly and helpful when they eventually arrived.

12-14 Lodge RoadThe only reason this has 1 star is due to the horrible service I received. I came with a reservation and was laughed at because they were extremely busy. The reservation clearly meant nothing to them and they did randomly seated people they saw. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated and 1 hour and a half for our food and drinks. Albeit the food was great, the appalling service overshadowed the experience. Don’t bother going when it is busy.
