Contratamos el Alphabet Bar para nuestra fiesta de recepción de boda (70 personas) y fue absolutamente fantástico.La comida, la decoración encantadora y el servicio impecable del amable personal hicieron que todo funcionara sin problemas. He visitado este lugar varias veces este mes y cada visita fue simplemente increíble. El personal es muy acogedor, el ambiente agradable (especialmente me encantaron las luces y las velas) y la comida es simplemente deliciosa. Recomiendo encarecidamente Lamb Kebab - el mejor cordero que he tenido. También recomiendo probar el cóctel de ruibarbo en custodia. También estoy muy agradecido a Agatha, Dave y Ben por hacer que mis visitas sean un gran momento.

Fuimos a almorzar con unos amigos míos y realmente lo disfruté. La comida era deliciosa, el personal era muy agradable y cumplió todas nuestras expectativas. Yo era un cliente habitual en Cabana Islington antes de que se convirtiera en Alphabet y si comparo estos dos, diría que hay un ambiente más amigable y más relajado en Alphabet. Un buen lugar para tomar unas copas con tus amigos o incluso trabajar durante el día. Voy a venir para el brunch sin fondo un día seguro:)

A group of us went for bottomless brunch for a friend's birthday and we had a superb time! The bottomless prosecco was actually bottomless with endless amounts of prosecco being poured! Also, the staff were absolutely excellent and really went out of their way to make our experience so good! Thank you so much :) a definite recommendation!

The new owners need to assess the staff they employ, they are rude, have a poor attitude to customers who pay their wages and were seemingly drunk and giving friends free drinks late at night.We were there for a 40th birthday celebration this weekend and spent a very large amount of money and they tried to ask for even more money than they were already paid, making the evening end with a bitter taste. The food was acceptable, but the quantity was for sure, not worth what they were asking for. Drinks are expensive compared to other establishments but it was the service and attitude that needs to improve the most.A real shame for the Birthday Girl.

We just had a drink here and didn’t eat. 12.5% service charge added to an already expensive drinks bill! Slow service. Won’t be coming back.

Myself and 16 friends descended on alphabet bar for bottomless brunch just before christmas. We had travelled to london from around the country for the weekend and were extremely well looked after. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially as one of the guests arrived an hour and a half late!!! The food was delicious and they kept our drinks topped up. The cocktail list is really interesting and has some unusual but delicious flavours. I would recommend this bar to anyone and especially if you're a large group.

Visited on a weekday evening. Bar was not busy but staff were clearly struggling. Manager behind bar came across as arrogant and rude towards the staff even if he was polite to customers. We waited for a very long time to order a second round of drinks but gave up.Bar needs to train staff more so they aren’t overwhelmed. Food menu had potential but actually was completely tasteless, wouldn’t bother eating again and probably wouldn’t be back for drinks unless service was improved.

Stumbled across this place after being let down by another who didn't have our booking and couldn't fit us in. We had to wait at the bar but it was happy hour with plenty of cocktails to choose from. Staff were all really nice, food was decent. Def give this place a try if your in Angel!

Unfriendly rude and pushy staff .Definitely not going back.Shame as place is quite nice.But I will spend my time and money elsewhere.

We went to the restaurant ta have a nice dinner on Saturday evening and what we got was a rude and unfriendly service. If you are looking for a place to enjoy your meal and get a good and friendly service go to a different restaurant.

We came late on a Saturday evening. No waiter showed up at our table, however all other tables around us was served. When we finally got the waiter’s attention, the service wasn’t welcoming at all - rather “what do you want”. As our starters arrived, there was missing food on the plate compared to what described on the menu. We made 3 people aware of this, all promised they’d sort it out, however we never received the missing food. We paid our bill and went another place. Shame as the food we did manage to taste was good and we had been looking forward to a good meal out.

Great place- all the staff are super nice. Food is yummy, cocktails are good, music is really good, has atmosphere but doesn't get packed even at weekends.

Stopped in here with my wife after a day in London. Food was outstanding, both had flatbreads and kebabs (chicken and lamb) brilliantly presented and great flavours.

A friend and I met here for drinks before deciding to get some food as well. The menu consists of a lot of classic Middle Eastern foods which are always great to share.

Premier jour de notre séjour a Londres, et premier repas a l’alphabet pas très loin de notre hotel( double tree) .Et Franchement agréablement surpris.Accueil chaleureux,servi pas Marcin( qui parle français) et de bon conseil .Aussi bien pour le repas que pour les visites.Avons très bien mangés, simple mais bon. Currently sat at Alphabet and it’s a busy environment. I’ve chosen the bottomless brunch menu, good selection of brunch food and drinks however such slow service not drunk and been here for more than hour and that is the aim of my bottomless brunching. As I write this review I have been waiting for my drink for about 15 minutes. Not being dramatic

I would go again and again for the cocktails. I had both from the alcohol free and regular menu they were so nice well balanced original but not insane interesting delicious ! We had a sort of gin based bloody Mary (I sometimes still think about it...) some cocktail with croissant infused vodka. All so nice ! We will be back soon at night to sample more. They were reasonably priced too and bottomless is a good option too !

Had a fantastic brunch at a fair price (cocktail flat rate 20£)! Service is very friendly and you can easily reserve for larger parties - definitely recommendable !

A few of the reviews allude to the bad attitude the staff have here, and this was precisely my experience last night. We for dinner on a Wednesday with a group of friends for a birthday. Despite being empty the staff somehow managed to deliver the most atrocious service I've experienced in London. Slow, unhelpful, even begrudging. They brought my girlfriend the wrong wine, then feigned disbelief when she took it back to them (there was no prospect of them coming to the table). The barman even tasted it before unapologetically replacing it. Astounding.

With a great location, superb cocktails, and above average food, this place should be one of Upper Street's best new restaurants. However, the service misses the mark so badly, the overall experience is at best average.

Popped in here whilst staying in London with friends. The staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly, suggested dishes and cocktails for us all.

Well, Alphabet appears to have brought its rep intact with it from Soho and lost the famously rude bar staff in the process. We only popped in for a late lunch, but the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and the flat bread thingy covered in med vegetables was simply delicious; the best thing I ate all weekend (and that included trips to Antipodea, Soane's Kitchen and Rick Stein's). Will def pop in again next time we are in the neighbourhood

Food is very average and overpriced. We were served possibly gone off mackerel and when we complained they didn't seem that surprised or apologetic but agreed it didn't taste right. There are far better places to eat on upper street.

Incredible med food - great menu - I want to try everything! Cocktails are great, atmosphere very relaxed and spacious surroundings. Perfect for a group of friends to spend the evening. Staff were very attentive and quick service.

No te dejes engañar por la barra delantera que se ve bastante normal. El restaurante en la parte de atrás es una joya escondida! La decoración es contemporánea y muy acogedora, con un gran arte en las paredes y una tenue iluminación. Sirven excelente comida mediterránea y deliciosos cócteles inventivos.

Es un gran espacio que antiguamente albergaba el bar Cubano. Su ocupación por Alphabet señala el regreso de lo que era algo así como una institución Soho, pero que se cerró en 2012. Hay una gran cocina abierta en el lateral. Pero al menos los sábados a la hora del almuerzo, el menú no va más allá de un brunch sin imaginación del tipo que encontrará en un buffet de hotel como Eggs Benedict y Royal, Full Veggie English. Todo parecía estar bien, pero soy de la aburrida variedad conservadora que piensa que el desayuno es un bocadillo temprano en la mañana e inapropiado en todo momento. ¡Si tiene que limitar su menú al brunch, al menos agregue bistec y huevos al menú!

Pero realmente no me gustaba el mío. El Pisco Sour no tenía ningún sabor ácido. He bebido muchos piscos en mi vida y este era imbebible. Para 10, espero que sea perfecto. time for a gossipy lunch, we received a warm welcome and our friendly waiter talked us through the Moroccan/Mediterranean inspired menu to put together a nice light selection of sharing dishes which were all delicious, we went for duck wraps, delicious sausages in a tomato sauce, a amazingly light flatbread with ham+salad leaves, and a whipped feta mouse

What a fantastic bar! We were astonished with the quality of the food and the speed of the service! Compliments to the chef - my lamb was cooked to perfection. Fantastic cocktails and a lovely atmosphere. The place has ideal setting for a group party and a romantic date! Beautiful green decor and exceptionally helpful and friendly staff! My friends enjoyed both classic and modern cocktails - we were all extremely impressed!

Visited on opening night so we were prepared for some hiccoughs from staff and kitchen not having got into their groove yet. From the get go staff were fabulously friendly and helpful and welcoming. Started with two delicious gin cocktails from the bar, then seated in the light modern airy restaurant space up the back (great modern welcoming decor) to order a number of really lovely tapas-style dishes - our favourites were the duck pastilla and the aubergine zoulaak (sp?) dip with flatbread, and the mushroom flatbread. Lots on the menu we didn’t get to try. Meals took a little too long to arrive but assume that was first night ‘jitters’. Friendly staff who were keen to get proper feedback for the chef. We definitely plan to go back and I think Alphabet could potentially trump Ottolenghi’s.

Fast paced bar with lots of media people buzzing. If you find that entertaining, this might be a good place for fun and encounters. Be on time. It's busy. Affordable. Relaxed and friendly.

Food and service were a let down, I had been before and enjoyed it but second time round it didn't live up to expectations.

Piccolo ristorante/bar nel centro di Soho.

La mejor parte de este lugar es que las hamburguesas, las mejores que he probado en mucho tiempo. Servicios era bastante amable y la decoración era fabuloso. Al estar muy cerca de Carnaby Street, la ubicación es excelente también. El único aspecto negativo es que los precios de las bebidas, incluso para Londres, era caro.

Coincido con otras críticas. metimos en para una copa y algo de comida, tío detrás bar era maravillosamente grosero. Realmente media ahora bastante cutre lugar así que pude conseguir la arrogancia si era especial. salimos y así nos alegramos - tropezamos con pocas puertas de Vinoteca. Qué contraste. gerente no podría haber sido mejor, comida muy buena y por supuesto un gran vino.

Sono stata con delle mie amiche in questo locale. Abbiamo preso una bottiglia di vino(20 sterline) e non abbiamo potuto prendere nulla da mangiare perché non si trovava il cuoco. Ora capisco perché erano tutti ubriachi.

Tuvimos una fiesta aquí y pasamos unas £3 k que noche pero conseguimos el personal descortés jamás. ignorado a la gente esperando en el bar y cuando le pregunté por una bebida, el director dijo ' que necesita para aprender a hablar hasta entonces'.

Aunque nos lo pasamos de maravilla, ya que era una fiesta y todos estábamos entre amigos ... el personal es grosero, hospitalario y francamente odioso. El gerente me vi esperando en el bar para una bebida y me dijo: "sí, ¿qué quieres' ... me contestó que me hubiera estado esperando para las edades y dijo ... entonces usted debe hablar entonces'.. Él era arrogante, grosero y básicamente su propia sabes qué. La camarera del bar salió de detrás del bar para tomar copas y básicamente empujado por todo el mundo fuera del camino y fue grosero y atrapado.

I sólo fuimos para una bebida antes de abrir un arte en la misma calle : 6 pm, luces bajan (imposible leer un periódico, que estaba esperando que alguien) música sube y de repente puede también ser un club nocturno. Cuando mi amigo llegó poco después la dejamos y nos fuimos a un pub en la calle donde las bebidas eran más baratos y fue possiible a hablar.

5pm Wednesday Afternoon - Only people in the bar. Friends of mine had arrived before me and ordered cocktails - 2 Mojitos, 2 Mint Juleps & a Caiparinha. I went to the bar picked up a cocktail list, found it to be large so asked for an Old Fashioned and before I could ask to have it with a good peated whisky was told in a very brusk, uncaring and condescending tone they don't do old fashions by a bloke wearing a swiss flag t-shirt with arms crossed and not approaching the bar to assist me in suggesting something that was on the list. I said 'There's nothing like pleasing a customer' to which he retorted 'Company Policy - can't do anything thats not on the list' I replied ' Thats not a great policy then' He, cocky as ever replied ' Not my company' and continued to stand arms crossed 2 ft from his side of the bar. Very well I thought, if you are going to be like that I won't bother myself with ordering a drink. I sat with my friends until they finished their cocktails and then we moved onto somewhere with immaculate service and fantastic cocktails being Milk & Honey.

It has a Great atmosphere, and there seemed to be plenty of seats downstairs, although upstairs is where you wants to be. Food so so. In fact it's just so so......nice place for drinks and that's about it really. I would certainly go again, but there are so many fun places in this part of London, it should be part of a crawl!

Came here for a catch up with some friends last Wednesday night and had a reasonably good time, but there are lots of other bars in London that have a better atmosphere and cocktails. I found the ones here too watery and my Espresso Martini was way too sweet. However, the skinny fries and the Baked Camembert dish are yummy bar snacks to share!
