The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Moulsham and Central Chelmsford East of England

I went for a light lunch with my 11 year old daughter who wanted to try sushi in a restaurant rather than a supermarket & we were not disappointed. We had Gyoza & king prawn tempura which were both lovely & shared nigiri for main which gave a lot of variety. It’s definitely worth paying the extra than supermarket and we will be back when we need our next sushi fix as I see they deliver too!

Today’s experience was extremely disappointing which is a shame because I come here regularly and usually enjoy the food. At first we were surprised that my partner received his Katsu curry about 5 minutes after it was ordered but it was not even hot, the food was cold. After he had his food my meal came 20 minutes later so by the time I had got my food he had already eaten his. When my food arrived it had ingredients inside it that I requested to be removed. There was barely any noodles in my ramen so it felt like I was just eating broth and chicken pieces. I wasted £40 and ended up having to go to a different restaurant because we were still hungry and upset with the experience. Overall, food was cold, came at different times, specific ingredients were not removed when asked and portion size was smaller than usual in the ramen. The waiters were nice and did seem to care but the food was just not up to standard for the price I paid.

Absolutely terrible, booked for 8:15pm, we got seated and admittedly the restaurant is beautiful inside however the service is shocking. I say service but there was no service at all, after sitting at our table for 35 minutes and not been seen to at all for any drinks we walked out and went to Zenxi for a much nicer dinner. Will be my first and last time going to Zinnia, how are they still operating with service this bad, it is obviously a common problem as there is many other reviewers stating the same thing. They didn’t even seem bothered when we walked out!
