Absolutely first rate restaurant in Corbridge. Dined last Saturday at lunchtime and participated in the special three course lunch. Food was excellent, and the service was second to none. The staff were exemplary and treated us with respect and were courteous at all times. I feel this is the place to go if you want superb food and service .

Shop side has good range of local products and luxury additions - cafe nicely laid out and welcoming. Wine & beer available. We had a late sandwich lunch - Brie & bacon was well filled and beautifully melting. Roast beef sandwiches were tasty and had epic horseradish and piquant crunchy salad on the side.

We found this little gen in Camden and we ordered a lasagna tray for take away!! it was absolutely the best pasta I had in the last years!! We also bought tortelloni with Asparagus and ricotta just made that morning and... no words just FATASTIC!! The artisan Gelato is also very good, I has PIstachio and I felt all Sicily in there!! This cafe had friendly & attentive staff and served an absolutely delicious traditional fried breakfast. The flat white coffee was fabulous, too. There was space to eat inside, but we chose to enjoy our food and drink in the quiet, sunny enclosed courtyard at the front of the cafe. Thoroughly recommended!

Spires Cafe is run by apprentices from Truro College. I took my mother here for a coffee and we were also tempted by the lovely cakes on display. It's clean, tidy and good value. My hot chocolate was excellent and the cakes were so tasty. Good for a quick visit whilst shopping.

The Rebel Café is a hidden gem that perfectly marries the love of literature with the charm of a cozy coffee shop. From the moment you step through its door, you are enveloped by an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and magical. The café has delightful tempting treats, offering a variety of coffees and baked pastries. Despite its small size, the Rebel Café never feels cramped. Instead, it exudes a sense of coziness and intimacy that larger establishments often lack. Special mention must be made of Alice, the owner and heart of Café. Alice is warm, welcoming. Her passion for creating a space where people can connect over their shared love of books and coffee shines through in every detail of the café. Her personal touch and genuine care for her customers make your visit feel like coming home. In a world that often feels rushed and impersonal, The Rebel Café is a refreshing oasis of warmth, creativity, and community. It is more than just a place to grab a coffee; it is a haven for the soul. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in a world of books and brews or grab a takeaway drink or book on their train journey.

Went to Ripponden to stay with my sister before going on to Sheffield and she suggested we went here for lunch. Set on the ground floor of an old mill now converted into small businesses/offices this family owned cafe has a varied menu which changes daily with both hot, cold and gluten free choices. Two of us had the chicken curry whilst the others had poached salmon salad and a baked potato. Good choice of desserts too and friendly staff with the only downside being that it was a bit on the expensive side. Having said that I would gladly return the next time I come up north.
