Chef Rob Owen Brown runs this unique street food operation from Easter weekend to the end of October each year, Thurs -Sunday 4-9pm or thereabouts. It's situated in the grounds of a lovely marina in rural Cheshire, there are moored narrowboat here and wide open spaces for a long walk through the fields if that takes your fancy. The mainstay of the food that Rob cooks here is pizzas, but oh what pizzas they are! Thin crusts, charred and full of flavour with loads of different topping to choose from, believe me I've tried them they are delicious. He also offers a changing specials menu which could be almost anything. I've seen game offered, katsu chicken wraps, half a roast chicken with rosemary and garlic and loads of other things too. There's always puddings, waffles sometimes and cheesecakes. You never quite know what's going to be going to be on, but it will be worth a visit and be delicious. This evening I had roasted sea bream with Mediterranean vegetables and garlic potatoes, it was fabulous. This is such an unusual venue, it's hard to give a realistic view of it. The food is amazing and next to the food cart is a re-purposed narrowboat ( out of the water) which serves as a mini pub. Loads of wines, beers on tap and bottled too, spirits and a comprensive range of alcohol free drinks. If that isn't enough there's glamping, camping and a lovely onsite cafe. Just come, it's amazing xx

Was so disappointed that the experience didn't live up to the reviews! We went as a party of 4 and were seated upstairs. It was busy with it being a Saturday evening but the staff were run of their feet, a couple of them looked exhausted (no offence!). Sadly service was quite slow and the man waiting on our table didn't seem impressed when we asked to order and made us feel uncomfortable. Starters were ok but were followed by disappointing mains. The chicken souvlaki was extremely dry and the chicken with gnocchi was bland. On a positive note, the pork was good. Had to ask on three occasions for a glass of wine and again was made to feel like we were being a nuisance. Sadly wouldn't want to return and feel you can get a much better meal elsewhere in Chester for a fraction of the price.

There are several, very good Italian restaurants in Chester, but Carbonara has become my first choice because of the exceptional warmth of the welcome. Even though I have only eaten there a few times (so far!), I always feel I’m treated like a very welcome, long-standing friend. And, of course, the food is delicious! I particularly like the mixed platter of Italian cheeses (Tagliere misto di formaggi), which is offered as both a starter and a dessert.
