The best restaurants serving Italian food in Davyhulme East Trafford North West

The Head Chef Maura is fantastic and professional at all times and even comes out and says hello which is a great personal touch. The bar manager India is amazing and one of the main reasons we come to the champagne bar and have been for the past 4 years, always professional and friendly and goes above and beyond for us.

I had reserved a table for 3 at the San Giovani restaurant for Wednesday 16th April. We arrived on time and were welcomed by a very pleasant lady who showed us to our table. Orders for drinks and food were taken and the service was excellent. The food was as usual very good . Very polite friendly waiters and a good atmosphere in the restaurant. All in all a very enjoyable evening

We had a fantastic experience this evening. Magda was so friendly and helpful at helping us with the menu, especially myself, with the vegan options. We all really enjoyed our food. Would definitely recommend.

Not the best experience here unfortunately. Starters were good but went downhill after this. Mains lukewarm, pizza almost too thin and very chewy and missing some toppings. My partner's pasta was ok but did say it was lacking a bit of flavour and quite bland. Dessert was again missing some stuff and took a lifetime to come out. My partner's brownie for some reason had a piece of balsamic onion on the underside and completely put her off it so she couldn't manage to finish it off. Real shame as I enjoy Zizzi but won't be going to this one again.

Booked Zizzi's for a family birthday treat. For a starter two of us ordered Bruscetta which was almost too hard to cut even with a steak knife! For mains most had pizza which was ok but I ordered the Chicken Melanese. The menu stated it came with kale and spinach but non came with the meal. It became obvious when trying to order from the menu that many items were unavailable which it appears was the case with the items missing from my meal although this was not explained either at point of order or when delivered to the table. In so far as the deserts were concerned it was more a case of what they did have rather than what they didn't so the requested deserts were not available when it came time to deliver them to the table. As some of us were dining from the 3 courses for £26 menu we had no alternative but to order something we didn't really want. Felt very sorry for the waitress who had to keep delivery the information which was not her fault in any way and who was extremely pleasant, polite and professional. Altogether an expensive disappointing birthday treat all round.
