Poor, poor, poor service! Visited at 7pm on a Tuesday evening. Myself and my child. Not very busy. Could see at least 4 staff working the tables. Order taken and water arrived to table promptly. Short wait for a garlic bread starter but then it went downhill. Starter plates were taken away when finished but we then waited 25 minutes for our main meals to arrive. Could not get attention of waiter, he wasn’t making himself available either. Just faffing with collecting glasses. Eventually got his attention and he arrived with our main meals. I am certain he forgot about us and we would still be waiting now if I hadn’t of chased him up! He dumped them at the table and I had to call him back for cheese topping. We waited for the cheese but got fed up of waiting as food was getting cold. We started to eat and he eventually came back with cheese and dumped it on table. I called him back and asked why the food had taken so long and he said he didn’t know. Whilst we were waiting the manager who was clearing tables and seating people saw us waiting and he didn’t even bother to check on our food either. We then waited a very long time for the bill. Our plates were not cleared. Our waiter saw us waiting and we even got our coats on and gathered bags so was obvious we were waiting to leave but he still didn’t clear plates for bring the bill. I was very tempted to leave without paying at all. We waited at the entrance and the manager saw us and approached. I asked if they wanted to take my money or not! Told him service was poor but he offered no apology. Would not recommend.

We were greeted by the waiting staff who were very attentive, and made sure that we had a table straight away. It seems things were getting off on a good foot. The staff were very nice and struck up conversations and all seemed good. Once we sat down, we found that the time the waiting staff got to us was very slow. The starters were okay, however my calamari was slightly rubbery and stringy. The bruschetta was tough and even a very sharp knife struggled to cut it. The bread just seemed a little too solid for bruschetta. we had problems at the main meal. The kids pizza was tiny and my nine-year-old even commented that it was very very small. I received a beef ragu pasta dish, which was late coming compared to my family, and when it arrived, it was tepid and the pasta was undercooked. The pasta had obviously been left in the pass for way too long - it was congealed and become like a wine gum. So when it arrived, it looked like it was a small portion because it had all contracted in on itself. I took one mouthful and insisted it was sent back because it was colder at this point and I knew that halfway through eating it, it would be cold. The head waiter tried to convince me it was fresh pasta and that’s how it comes out, however that got my back up as it was hard dough in the middle and had a very hard bite…..very unpleasant. Our orders for every course came in at stages, and there was always one missing which came later. Plates weren’t cleared in a timely manner and sometimes waiting staff came over and didn’t notice the plates hadn’t been cleared. The waiting staff seem very overworked. For a Sunday bank holiday there didn’t seem to be enough staff on. This is the second Izzy I have tried, the first one being at Cheshire Oaks. I don’t think I want to return as the food isn’t really great and there isn’t enough staff on. There’s just no love in the food. To mess up on pasta is just unforgivable!

What a load of rubbish. I appreciate that the industry is reliant on oversees workers, but they should be able to speak english. Our waiter didn’t, messed up the order completely. Expensive too.

Amazing service throughout, we all enjoyed our food thoroughly. would recommend. As well our waiter Ivan even borrowed his charger for our dead phones, he was amazing.

Zizi's is one of our 'go to' restaurants because of the gluten free options. With several people queuing it was clear the staff were under pressure to clear the empty tables of previous diners. We queued 10/15 mins before a table was available, only to then wait another 10 mins for the manager to take our order (apparently only the manager is allowed to take orders from customers who have allergies!). That said once our order was taken the food was ready within 10 mins. It was very tasty. Two observations: What is difficult about taking orders from customers who have allergies, given all the staff including the manager take orders on the same hand held device. Why is the food served on very cold plates/dishes - pasta goes cold quickly enough without it being served in cold dishes!

I want to first start by saying the food was actually pretty good, can’t really fault that. However the service was the opposite, one starter came 15 minutes or so later than the others (after everyone else had finished) and then the same happened to the mains but not as long a wait. Didn’t get everything we had ordered but after waiting so long I couldn’t be bothered to complain, made sure it wasn’t on the bill though. Staff looked very busy but the lady on the front welcoming people needs to learn how to welcome people, sour face and a little rude. Definitely would not go back to this Zizzi again.

Always good food here, and the staff are amazing! Only one issue; dinner on Friday night - plates cold, consequently food not hot. Dinner Saturday night - plates hot, and food hot! Won't stop us coming to Zizzi again though!

Have eaten at Zizi before, but this was my first time at this one at the Trafford Centre... I was out shopping with my Daughter in Law, and we stopped for lunch. We had spaghetti pomodoro and pasta della casa, both meals were lovely. I finished off with 3 scoops of salted caramel ice cream and my daughter in law had lemon and raspberry cheese cake, clean plates were handed back. All staff we encountered were pleasant, and the meals promptly delivered, all In all a very nice meal and good value for money.

My friend had a voucher that entitled her to 50% off main meals with Zizzi and she kindly offered to share this with me in the Trafford Centre. Zizzi is situated in the Orient which is a lovely eating area and for those who are not familiar with the Trafford Centre, it offers free parking here too. Lovely restaurant and very clean and modern. We received a warm welcome from the chap who was at front of house and he acknowledged my friend’s booking. My friend initially ordered lasagne but was then later told it was not available as they had run out. She subsequently chose a vegetable lasagne instead. I ordered a vegan ragu as that is a favourite dish of mine. My friend was not that impressed with the lasagne and said that there was no texture to the filling or pasta and rather than perhaps chunky vegetables and a firmer pasta it was just soft/mushy. We liked the waitress who came to us at the end of the night as she was friendly and enthusiastic and splitting the bill was no trouble to her.

From start to finish it was brilliant, we have been several times now after a poor visit to another branch I was sceptical to return. However ZiZi’s at Trafford Centre is brilliant and a very special mention to Stevie who has looked after us on several occasions. He is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for him, to find a server who wants to please his guests to this degree is fabulous. Stevie is an absolute star and credit to why we go again & again.

When we arrived we were told they were already out of vegan rainbow lasagna and fries. We should have walked then but, having never been before, we gave them another chance. The waiter was awful, dull, couldn’t care less, bored and looked almost depressed. The food was average and felt microwaved (stuck to the plate). I ordered the chocolate fudge cake and asked for it to be hot, not warm. It wasn’t even warm. You’d expect poor food and service from a cheaper restaurant but when you’re parting with close to £100 for two people, you expect more. Very disappointed- definitely do not recommend. They didn’t even ask us how our meal was…they probably didn’t dare!! My husband cooks better meals!
