The best restaurants serving Italian food in Fairfield Croydon London

We have stopped here for lunch a few times on our way back from a cycle ride in the North Downs as it is the best option between Leith Hill and Teddington. For history buffs the church just across the road is where Barnes-Wallis is buried.

Visited Ponte Nuovo on 26th February with family. Had not been for quite a while, but was still as good as ever. Staff, particularly Roland, were fantastic and food was amazing. Experience was enjoyed by us all. Will be back again soon. Thank you.

The atmosphere & care of the husband & wife, as owners, are caring & very attentive. The food & beverages (etc) are heavenly in taste and in their prices. You see regular customers (especially families) in their resprctive times to come & go. A group of 8 of us had booked for 7pm on a Friday night. As we arrived in the dingy, dirty looking dining room we were barely acknowledged. The young, oblivious (and I assume very cheap) waiting staff were painfully slow and unobservant, and we had to chase them to take a drinks order. We then waited 20 minutes for said drinks, only for half of our order to be missing. We were seated right in front of the bar, and there were only a couple of other occupied tables. We asked if we could place our food order, only for the waitress to rudely gesture for us to wait while she took the orders of two other tables that had arrived after us. It was now 8pm, and after an hour of waiting politely we had seen enough. We asked for the bill and at this point one of the more senior waiters asked if he could take our order, but we couldn't wait to leave. (So we did, and had a delicious meal at Crystal, the excellent Persian restaurant just across the road from Bagatti's) I cannot comment on the food here as we didn't get to try it, but based on first impressions, the state of the restaurant and the appalling service, I can't imagine it's up to much. Bagatti's has been a Croydon landmark for many years, but it sadly appears to be a shadow of its former self.

A little out of the way and not that welcoming from outside but once inside it is truly wonderful. The welcome the food and the wine , everything go well together A must visit if you are in the area

Ordered it for years, suddenly changed settings on ubereats so they won't deliver to me even though I live 12 minutes away. Reached out to customer service who advised I "stop by their Waterloo branch"... I live in Croydon, I just want to order as usual from the Croydon branch.. now it's disappeared off deliveroo altogether and still won't allow me to order delivery from Ubereats.. has Crust Bros boxpark Croydon secretly shut down? If not this is total silliness... you are losing business for literally no sensible reason..
