The best restaurants serving Italian food in Croydon London

Visited my local Ponte Nuovo for my 50th in 2014 and this year for my 60th. Food and service was as fantastic this year and every time I have visited. I invited 15 family members and we has a room to ourselves which was intimate. As I work near, I visit frequently. I would recommend this restaurant.

Always great food, fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection. Very friendly place to go for a bit of food, coffee and a bit of chat in your 12 o'clock break.

Maria G es una joya escondida de Kensington - fuera de los caminos trillados : lugar con clase , pequeño menú de temporada y gran servicio. Los asados dominicales son excelentes y de gran valor; los especiales semanales de temporada son excelentes. Y lo más destacado para mí es la nueva oferta de pizza de corteza fina de masa madre, sin duda entre las mejores de Londres.

We have stopped here for lunch a few times on our way back from a cycle ride in the North Downs as it is the best option between Leith Hill and Teddington. For history buffs the church just across the road is where Barnes-Wallis is buried.

'Gizzards on a stick' and 'Normal beans' were very nice. service was friendly. Good value, would go again.

Lovely place, very nice staff and very delicious food. We ordered pizza and pasta carbonara,both were awesome.

I ordered the mussels as a starter but had so many beards still attached to them I also ordered the cod which was served skin side down and soggy the sauce was basically water served with overcooked green beans the waiter wasn’t helpful when I mentioned that the cod dish is a disaster safe to say I will never be going here again

We tried to enter with a mobility scooter and were rudely denied service before we even walked in. They had free tables and besides, we could've had takeaway. But they didn't even ask - just stood in front of me and blocked my way whilst denying service.

Antonio the owner is very pleasant and the coffee is high quality. You need to ask for what you want as there is no show case to choose.

First visit. Authentic Italian . Will definitely be back again.

My favourite cafe in Crystal Palace. Friendly atmosphere, great service, a wide variety of lovely food and coffee and excellent value.

Went to Bagatti's early Friday evening, Was made very welcome as usual, had the carpaccio beef starter which was very tasty follow by the best lasagne eve, washed down with a couple beers and finished off with a fantastic Tia Maria coffee. Nice see Peter Bagatti is still around and that Geogeio has kept this excellent restaurant serving great Italian food.

A little out of the way and not that welcoming from outside but once inside it is truly wonderful. The welcome the food and the wine , everything go well together A must visit if you are in the area

Aunque la señalización aún está activa, Tomatinos ahora es parte del bar de tapas de al lado. Extremadamente confusas, puertas separadas, pero cuando te acercas a lo que se anuncia como Tomatinos, dice ¡entra por la otra puerta, que es el restaurante de tapas! Una vez dentro te dan 2 menús. Uno es pizza y otro tapas. Servicio lento y confuso, pedimos vino pero no lo tenían, ya que parece que no están reordenando nada en el menú de bebidas de Tomatinos, sino usando el caldo de las tapas. Todo fue un poco impredecible. El horno de leña para pizzas está en el lado ahora vacío del restaurante, así que nos decepcionó. Cuando llegaron las pizzas, sorprendentemente rápido teniendo en cuenta el tiempo que nos llevó tomar nuestro pedido y que llegara el vino, estaban muy buenas. Base fina y crujiente, mi tipo favorito y muy generosamente rematado. Se sentía caótico, pero ahora sabemos qué esperar, volveríamos ya que las pizzas estaban buenas.
