We have stopped here for lunch a few times on our way back from a cycle ride in the North Downs as it is the best option between Leith Hill and Teddington. For history buffs the church just across the road is where Barnes-Wallis is buried.

We have visited this fabulous Italian restaurant on several occasions over the years and have never been disappointed. The food is delightful and the service is always attentive. Tonight I had bruschetta, followed by an outstanding seafood spaghetti - delightful! Desert was a mixed berry cheesecake and a cheeky shot of Lemoncella. We also had the added bonus of some very pleasant live music, singer/ guitar. Good value for money, what more could you want for a good evening out.

Had lunch on the Saturday with a friend from Chile, and on Sunday with my husband for Mother's Day. On the Saturday had the delicious Pizza, nice slim crust and generous serving on top. On the Sunday the lamb was cooked to perfection, the asparagus dish excellent, and the Apple Tarte Tatin as good as ever, not too sweet (cinnamon instead of sugar++). On Mother's Day ladies even got a free glass of Bubbles ! As a Resident we love this restaurant and especially the Sunday Roast.

Visited Ponte Nuovo on 26th February with family. Had not been for quite a while, but was still as good as ever. Staff, particularly Roland, were fantastic and food was amazing. Experience was enjoyed by us all. Will be back again soon. Thank you.

The atmosphere & care of the husband & wife, as owners, are caring & very attentive. The food & beverages (etc) are heavenly in taste and in their prices. You see regular customers (especially families) in their resprctive times to come & go. This place is perfect , the reason i come regularly and always recommended to my friends, co- workers & my family. DR.

The staff were friendly and did a pretty good job at keeping glasses filled up and asking if we needed anything. The food was very nice, kids potions are BIG. It's a shame they didn't have a hard copy of the kids menus, but the lady was able to explain everything they had. The food came out efficiently and well presented. They allow you to bring in a birthday cake, and they sang happy birthday to my brother. The drinks were a bit expensive. However I would recommend it.

A group of 8 of us had booked for 7pm on a Friday night. As we arrived in the dingy, dirty looking dining room we were barely acknowledged. The young, oblivious (and I assume very cheap) waiting staff were painfully slow and unobservant, and we had to chase them to take a drinks order. We then waited 20 minutes for said drinks, only for half of our order to be missing. We were seated right in front of the bar, and there were only a couple of other occupied tables. We asked if we could place our food order, only for the waitress to rudely gesture for us to wait while she took the orders of two other tables that had arrived after us. It was now 8pm, and after an hour of waiting politely we had seen enough. We asked for the bill and at this point one of the more senior waiters asked if he could take our order, but we couldn't wait to leave. (So we did, and had a delicious meal at Crystal, the excellent Persian restaurant just across the road from Bagatti's) I cannot comment on the food here as we didn't get to try it, but based on first impressions, the state of the restaurant and the appalling service, I can't imagine it's up to much. Bagatti's has been a Croydon landmark for many years, but it sadly appears to be a shadow of its former self.
