The best restaurants serving Italian food in East Northamptonshire East Midlands

Fabulous place. Nicely decorated and the food was just amazing. On top of all that, the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this place. Wished we lived nearer Tewkesbury!

Our go-to restaurant in Northampton. I’m lucky enough to eat in top end restaurants in London and across the UK and this is my favourite. Always a warm welcome from Chef Davide and the girls. A small restaurant and a perfectly formed menu - it’s not a pizzeria, but the type of restaurant with some modern twists you might expect in Tuscany. Good value and we recommend it to a lot of friends. It’s a well kept secret to those in the know.

We attended last evening for a private fund raising event. The atmosphere was superb, live music, friendly efficient service and the food was amazing. Large portions of tasty home cooked food. I know Cesare was open only for us but he cannot have made much profit from our party. A friendly welcoming host very ably supported by Sabina and many others. Just had our 11th year anniversary dinner here and it was our visit to Salerno’s since moving to Oundle. It was the perfect cosy, casual spot for a Sunday evening. Service was welcoming, attentive, wine list was good, and the Gorgonzola ravioli and the gnocchi were both excellent. This isn’t Italian fine dining - but it doesn’t need to be. It’s unpretentious, cost effective, great quality comfort food. Glad we have them in Oundle and it’s a 5 minute walk from our house, so I think we’ll be back.

We visited on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was full and there was a good atmosphere. We had breaded brie for starters followed by pizzas. All the food was very good indeed and the portions were pretty big Service was very good and prices really reasonable

Came here for lunch with my mum. Had the lunch time set menu which was great. But what really made the experience was the service from Gosia. Amazing from start to finish, nothing felt like too much trouble. She was truly incredible.
